   The food was delicious! We order a plethora of food for a group of 5 and honestly, we all left happy and full. The decor was beautiful, comfy and mesmerizing! The staff was also kind and friendly!

   Great service as always (from Nicole on this occasion). Food is always great and we particularly enjoy the corner seating that we often get. We always recommend Amal - it is one of our very favourite restaurants in TO. Although it can be amusing to watch sometimes, the only thing that I feel would improve the ambience would be if people would stay seated at their tables rather than constantly walk around for their instagram photos. They typically gather around other peoples tables in pursuit of that elusive photo.

   The food here was very good here. I loved the mix of “mezes” and full plates. Service was amazing, the people here really know how to take care of their clients. I recommend this place for brunch, can’t wait to go back for dinner.

    Would give 0 stars for service if I could. Horrible service and extremely slow. Didn't even bring us water or check up on us throughout the meal. They bought the pita after bringing all the other food so by the time the pita came, the food was getting cold. This restaurant serves a specific clientele. Paid $20 for a drink and could taste zero alcohol. Do not recommend.

    Love all of Charles’ places - KOST, Mister C, Byblos, and of course Amal - they never disappoint. Perfect balance of opulence, delicious food, and celebratory, larger-than-life vibe. Well done.

    Bright comfortable furnishings and friendly proficient service complemented the wide-ranging menu that service a lighter pre-concert supper or a more ample extended dinner. The shaabiyat dessert was the stand out.

    Wonderful service and really delicious Lebanese dishes. We had the three appetizer sampler which was enough for 4 people as well as the kefta kabob and fried sea bream. The date cake for desert was simply wonderful.

    We had an excellent lunch at Amal. Great tasting dips and entrées. Recommend the Sampler (choice of three dips with pita), the Beef Tenderloin skewer and the Chicken skewer. Definitely plan on going back. One note, we didn't realize they close the kitchen mid afternoon. They were great with us, we didn't feel rushed at all, but something to keep in mind if you plan a later lunch. 5 stars all around!

    Meal came separately from mine and they really need to use some kind of mini vacuum to clean the sofa type seating. Found them dirty and hair was on them.

    We tried three of the dips and they were all delicious but the star was the Muhammara Dip. Everything else we ordered was delicious too. I would recommend the Musar Jeune 2019 wine. Very nice.

    The food at Amal was amazing! Our group started off with a trio of dips -- hummus, muhammara, and baba ghanoush. All three were fantastic, but my favorite was the muhammara. We also had the Skewer Platter for 4--all of the skewers were delicious, full of flavor, and grilled to perfection. The beef tenderloin practically melts in your mouth, the chicken was tender and juicy, the tiger shrimps were succulent and with just the right amount of kick, and the beef/lamb kababs were tasty. What also made this platter fabulous was the sauces -- the parsley and coriander based sauce and the garlic sauce were amazing and perfectly paired with the grilled meats. Our group also ordered the Ontario Lamb Chops and that was probably the best grilled lamb I have ever tasted, again, also cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth. The decor was quite elegant, and like their sauces, paired perfectly with the food!

    Delightful restaurant with great Lebanese food. We arrived 6.15 for a 6.30 reservation and I remain puzzled why we were placed at the bar for a while while we waited for our table - the restaurant was not busy. Overall a stylish restaurant with excellent food.

    Good atmosphere and the food was pretty good. Overall the service was good as well, but at times was a little unorganized (diff wait staff repeating tasks, multiple wait staff per table, etc.). Just a minor observance; it did not impact the overall good experience.

    We had an amazing experience and delicious food served!! The ambience was great as well. However they seemed to be understaffed and every time we needed anything we had to keep waiting to make eye contact with someone. For a good 10-15mins no one came to introduce themselves. We went for my husbands birthday and they didn’t do anything to make us feel special for the celebration. They kept blaming it on the kitchen being closed but why didn’t they say that when we made the reservations for 9pm?? Our server didn’t do anything either nor wish the birthday Pearson and did not acknowledge it, till I went and asked if they do anything. Apart from the customer service, the place was great and so was the food!

    Every time I visit from Halifax, I HAVE to stop at Amal. This is my second time coming to Amal and second time I’ve had Nicky C as a server! Our server Nicky couldn't have been nicer. She was quick, efficient, friendly, and very enthusiastic about the menu. She helped recommend something for each course and the recommendations didn't disappoint! Unbelievable service - I just hope Nicky is still working the next time we come in! Keep up the great work! ❤️

    Overall my family and I were very impressed with this restaurant. We have garlic intolerances and they went above and beyond to accommodate our intolerances. The service was amazing, the ambience was great and we had a great time.

    Amal is so fabulous! We sat outside; there was minor traffic noise and ambient music, but neither was enough to interfere with conversation. The patio is second-floor, overlooking Bloor Street, and furnished with comfortable Mediterranean couches and umbrellas; we were next to the edge and mostly shaded at dinner time. The food was lick-the-plate delicious, every item. I highly recommend the Amal Hummus, which comes with bits of steak in a balsamic reduction, but really, I want to eat the whole menu. The service was unobtrusive and friendly. There are a lot of vegetarian-friendly options on this menu and a very long and enticing wine list. I will be back.
