We came after the SEC championship game and it was crowded everywhere. The staff at Amalfi did an amazing job accommodating the rush. The hostess was also Bussing and prepping the tables for the next guest along with managing the reservations and waitlist. Once we were seated our waitress (I can’t remember her name but she was from Michigan and was wearing an Atlanta all sports shirt) made sure we all had water right away. She was friendly and pleasant. Our food came our quickly and was delicious. I especially loved the white mushroom pizza! Great job to all the staff!!
Place was great. We were mad on Friday night as we found the place walking downtown and looking for somewhere to eat. They only take reservations. We were able to reserve a table on Saturday night after the game. Was very glad we did. We sampled a little bit of everything, great flavor , presentation and taste. Will defiantly go back next time we are in town. Glad we found this place.
Be sure to eat before you go. Food was tasty but walked away hungry.......come on, pasta is cheap. Service was great.
Amalfi is our yearly family Christmas dinner with my aunt and my son from South Carolina. We love every minute of our visit!! Thanks for another great dinner!!’ :-)
We had a wonderful meal!
The food was outstanding.
Definitely will go again.
The server started out a little quiet but once
we were nice to her she warmed up and was great.
I think she may have been nervous.
Make sure you make a reservation. Visiting Atlanta and we went to Amalfi for dinner. The bruschetta and meatball appetizers were delicious. We had the Margherita pizza and a Calzone each with spicy sausage and it was great too. Wine is a bit overpriced. Had the cannoli dessert and that was amazing. Our waitress was great. Happy we decided to go back since we weren’t able to have dinner on Sunday since we didn’t have reservation and we were told they were short staffed.
Good food. Tasted fresh and delicious. Going to go back on a day when the full menu is available.
This place was truly wonderful; the food and the service was excellent. We will be back!!
Really nice dinner out on a Saturday evening. Excellent food.
We dined there so many times but last time the pizza was disappointing.
The restaurant was busy with only one server and a food runner for lunch and both of them did an amazing job!
Had reservations for 3 weeks. S
Waited a half hour following on time arrival for reservation for 8 people. Lots of empty tables. We assumed the wait was due to lack of staff. The food was wonderful and the service was great once we were seated. We ordered pastas and calzones and everyone was pleased with their meal. Would go again and would suggest to friends.
The pizza was very good as was a salad we ordered. The night was crazy many people waiting for tables, got ours quite quick, and the service was gracious but overwhelmed. As the concert goers left (The Stones!) noise level and ambiance became very reasonable. Love the setting.
Not enough staff, so menu was only limited to pizza
Highly recommend and get reservation through open table because they will say they are booked up
Loved it. Everything was delicious the wine was so good that was recommended by the server. My only thing was I ordered a bland item so it was my fault it was the pasta was veggies could’ve used a little bit more of an exciting sauce with that.
Caesar Salad was spot on.
I can’t wait to visit again.
Awesome atmosphere. Even operating on reservations only due to being short staffed the service was poor. My waitress also gave my wine to the wrong table, then carried said glass over to me moments later vs getting a fresh glass prompting me to have to verify whether the other patron had taken a sip. (I should have insisted on a fresh pour) Potential is there but they need much better front of house mgmt
Great food, great service…. Questionable music.
I would anticipate some Italian or romantic music but we heard heavy rock and roll at times!
My husband had a pepperoni pizza and I had the truffle mushroom pizza and we shared risotto balls.
All three dishes were delicious!
We would definitely return and recommend.
Apparently Sundays they only offer pizza, no appetizers or salads. It was apparent they wanted to close/go home. Pizza was fine. Wish we would’ve known about their Sunday Menu before going.
Food was delicious!
Garlic bread was amazing right off the bat! Loved the homemade roasted beet salad dressing. Pasta cooked to perfection and servers sharp and personable. Go, go, go!!
This was a recommendation from our Bellman at the Hotel. Great food and great service.
Maybe short staffed. Same
Worker clearing tables, seating people and serving drinks. Host was busy and needed help.
We went for my recent birthday to visit Atlanta, decided to make a reservation at Almadi. When we got there our waitress rushed us to sit down. She rushed us to order and she rushed us to pay for the check. My husband could barely order his other beer before she brought the check out, did it 3 times. I mean I couldn’t enjoy my meal without being reminded to pay. The ambiance and decor and food were great but the staff needs more training !
Amalfi has become one of my favorite restaurants. I love the authentic Italian cuisine. I make reservations every time I visit Atlanta. Looking forward to my next visit
We ordered two pies and three pasta dishes. Best white pie I’ve ever had. The pasta was cooked to the perfect al dente.
We needed a reservation. Tried walking in - no walk-ins accepted. Asked if we could make a reservation for later - not taking anymore. Walked outside and made a reservation on open table for 40 minutes later. Thank you open table. Other than the hostess, the place was fantastic. Good wood fired oven pizza. Bruschetta was fantastic, a must order.
Poor service and the food was subpar, it did not much the descriptions on the menu. 10/10 will not go back again.
Excellent food. Server only had personality with certain tables
Awesome food and staff!
We are from New York and we loved the place and the food!
Waited for 20 mins after getting seated for someone to even check on us or ask for water. Then waited another 20-25 mins to place order for food which was alright. Nothing special/extra-ordinary to write about. Finally when ordered desert which was the special of the day - salted caramel gelato which wasn't even a gelato in the first place; it turned out to be a regular ice-cream. She took the order and forgot to bring it to the table. It had been sitting on the serving counter for over 10 mins. How do I know you'd ask - because when I asked my serve r after waiting for 10 mins she said that she'll bring it out "NOW". By the time it came to our table, it has turned into liquid. We literally had to slurp it. I'm quite disappointed and can not recommend this to anyone. Feel free to make your own decision. Thanks.
Over hyped but it was aleight. Service was great though
We had a table for 9 people for a business dinner and the service and food was great. I will definitely go back when I am in Atlanta.
Nice place, food and service. Ambiance with a touch of Toscana.
Amazing pizza and apps! I went with a group of six friends and we got two bottles of wine, four pizzas, and two burrata, all delicious, and it was shockingly cheap per person, especially given the quality. The service was also fantastic. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
Great experience. The team enjoyed the meal. Good food and service.
Love this place! The food is excellent. Service is awesome and we are never disappointed. One of our favorites now whenever we visit Atlanta.
