The food quality seems to have gone down from the location in Midtown. The calamari were good but the pepadew peppers looked wrinkled and soft, taste wise still yummy. The pizza Amalfi didn’t disappoint in overall taste but was taken out a little early and the middle was soggy. Th energy/music in the establishment overall was low and seemed like a chain restaurant. Also the drink menu left something to be desired.
How lovely to go to an Italian restaurant with Italian music playing! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and our server - Bethany. This space used to be Gordon Biersch but you'd never know. Check it out!
Nice experience, excellent customer service. The servers and hostess are extra nice and pleasant. The food was amazing. Best calamari ever and the lobster ravioli was to die for
Pizzas were great but chicken Parmesan was way too much food and just okay.
Service was excellent. Our server was so nice. I had veal bolognese and it was okay. The pasta was really underdone. You couldn’t even call it Al dente. It was under cooked. Husband had chicken parm which was okay as well with under cooked pasta as well. I would give it one more try but it would not be on my bucket list
Great waitress (believe her name was frenchie) and food was wonderful!
We had the fried calamari - delicious - served with grilled lemon, marinara and lightly drizzled with a creamy sauce. Antipasto salad was perfect - very large for one - but just right for two. The house pizza was yummy.
Service was attentive and efficient.
Open industrial chic decor - tables are very nicely spaced. Felt very private in a large space.
Would go there for a meal again - or maybe a drink at the bar - it looked nice.
New Great Italian go-to in Buckhead...solid menu, white table clothed table in a cool, soft setting...
The service, breadth and depth of the menu, and the food we had was excellent. It’s a beautifully decorated space. I can’t think of anything to complain about. It was a nice evening.
Food was ordinary.
Three Cheese pizza dry,to much Parameson Cheese, tasted like bread.
Chicken was small, sauce to much flour and tasteless
Over abundance of Brocolini and Chicken was tough.
Dessert was $12 and very small portion
Restarant beautiful, service ok.
Great environment and ambience, great food, and very attentive staff.
There were 2 employees for the entire place.Obviously the only waitress available did what she could.Food was just aceptable although my companion said the pizza was good.Disappointing to me.
Garlic bread is wonderful. Lots of Italian Restaurant classics. Service was good, too. Some items were a little pricey, but overall would recommend.
GM Stacey, it's great to hear that the service was good. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review on OT. Come back again!
Everything was fine to above average from the food + drinks to the service and ambience, but nothing blew me away.
Being a new restaurant we were open-minded. Greeter and waiter were so sweet. Drinks took too long to get out and the Caesar salad needs more authenticity! Entrees were yummy!
Table and seats comfortable as we had a curved booth-my favorite!!
Good Morning Nanh, we really appreciate your feedback, as a new restaurant it is one of the many tools we use to make us better. We hope to see you again at Amalfi Cucina & Mercato!
We had a great experience here! The service was questionable at the beginning but got better!! The food was phenomenal & very reasonably priced. The cocktails were awesome as well. We loved the circle table booth!
Good Morning, and thanks for the feedback. As a new restaurant we strive for the 5 star rating with every guest, we will continue to improve service and food consistency as time goes by. Please come back and visit us again!
Our server was excellent.
The food was fabulous.
The ambiance was very nice.
The drinks service was a disaster. But, maybe the bartender was new.
Would definitely go back because the food was really yummy.
Food had no flavor and it was so bland. Really wanted to like it but the 4 dishes we ordered, not one had any flavor. I'll doubt if this place will last for more than year.
Such a lovely place tucked into a corner in Buckhead! Staff was friendly and helpful from entrance to exit, had awesome recommendations and prompt service. We had the calamari, beet and burrata salad, spicy Sicilian pizza, lobster ravioli, shrimp pesto gnocchi, and veal parmigiano and each dish was divine!! My boyfriend tried the berry blitz and old fashioned and said both had great balance and depth. Please save room for the pistachio tirimisu!!
Thank you for coming by! We look forward to seeing you again.
Chicken Marsala was delicious and the stuffed zucchini flower with cheese was amazing.
I love the decor and our waitress Bethany was super and attentive
Thank you for coming by. We look forward to seeing you come by.
Best Italian food around
Service was amazing, food was just ok but in their defense & to give benefit of the doubt they’d just opened a week or two prior.
Would try again, to see if the food quality changed! :)
Again, service was AMAZING!
Good morning, so happy you thought the service was amazing! However we will continue to work on food quality and consistency at Amalfi Cucina & Mercato. Come back and see us, and we will work on getting that 2 star to a 5 star!
If you like Chefboyardee spaghetti, shoe leather advertised as veal, and no bread, this is the place for you. If you want to wait 10 minutes for a glass of wine, make a reservation. The place had been open for a month when we made the mistake of going, but the kinks had not been worked out. Maybe the labor shortage had affected the kitchen help. Management appears to be inexperienced.
I would give an 8.5/10 total.
Food was outstanding ...open kitchen, good location and very good service.
Would recommend dining here.
It was a lovely experience overall and we will go back.
Great zucchini blossom, Caesar salad, chicken piccata. Very good pizza.
Excellent service - Bethany was great. She recommended the shrimp gnocchi which was honestly incredible.
Nice decor by terrible food.
Major objection charging $10 for two slices of bread. Lobster ravioli could hardly taste the lobster and the food was not piping hot.
Service ambiance and noise level was good.
Still finding their sea legs.
We dined here for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was only half full, so we were seated immediately and our server was quick to introduce herself. We split the calamari, a Caesar salad, the spicy pizza and mushroom pizza. The calamari had a thick crispy breading, which is my preference. The Caesar was as expected. The pizzas had a softer, chewier dough and was cooked perfectly without being overly charred. The hunks of mozzarella on the mushroom pizza and chunkier tomato sauce on the spicy pizza we’re unique twists we enjoyed. We passed on dessert, but the cannoli sounded good. Not our favorite Italian spot, but definitely a contender on the list.
Was surprised to see valet parking with a self-park option not mentioned. Plus--the sign at valet was misleading in terms of charges.
The pizza crust was fantastic but for some reason the top was only luke-warm. Sauce and toppings were great as well--but should have been much warmer.
Entrees and drinks were outstanding. Weird though that we were informed no Pinot Grigio in the house---in an Italian restaurant?
First, food was good.
Service was a bit less than I'd expect at a Buckhead restaurant:
We each ordered drinks (4 people). Two cocktails, two wines. The waitress brought one cocktail one wine. It took about five minutes to get the second two--strange, especially on a very slow Monday evening.
Had to ask for water. The waitress acted like she had never thought of filling water glasses.
Very uneven service: two mains served before appetizers were finished, second two mains brought out later, although not together. One guy delivers the food and he's only got two hands, I guess.
Forks and knives were not replaced after appetizer finished--nitpicky, but small details are important for first impressions.
Service staff is nice but really needs some training. We were there on a Monday night, so not at all crowded--maybe five tables, so you can't blame it on being "busy".
Lastly, having read about this management/ownership team in the AJC, you can't blame this on lack of experience. I think lack of management attention is a better explanation.
This was their first very busy night, for this new restaurant and on the most part it was handled well. The food was good and delivered just fine, which has been an issue at other restaurants we have been to. I would stay with the pizzas. Mine was good. They will continue to improve and we will return.
On the positive side, our server was great. The food however was the worst Italian food I’ve ever had. I would grade the food as bad cafeteria food at best. You could tell that the food was not cooked from scratch and looked and tasted like food that was pre-prepared and sourced from large supply companies that do supply cafeterias. I had the fried artichokes that were crumbed, deep fried and smothered with a lot of Parmesan cheese served with a very tiny dish of marinara sauce. The sauce was not definitely cooked in the restaurant and again pre-cooked from a large food service company. I ordered Veal Marsala as my entree and asked to have the Parmesan cheese rice substituted with Broccolini. What I got served was a piece of crumbed veal which was over cooked and tasted like leather, over a very large portion of broccolini and brown gravy sauce with mushrooms over the entire dish. No taste of the Marsala, cream or seasoning. The presentation did nothing to entice my appetite. My husband had the chicken parmigiana which was again not cooked fresh. The parmigiana was thick, with huge pieces of mozzarella cheese on the top (not melted as it should be), thrown over a large portion of spaghetti, again with the not so nice marinara sauce. No bread served, and with only one bar tender serving the entire restaurants, drinks did not come in a timely manner. As an Italian, I felt offended that they would call the food they serve as Italian. Needless to say, I will never return to dine at this restaurant or recommend it.
First time dining here and it was GREAT! From the ambiance to the food and service…everything was perfect. Highly recommend the lobster ravioli!
My current favorite! Best service, pizza, salads, ambience!
Food was excellent and server was super sweet but service was slow
The pizzas were very good as well the salmon and appetizers. The dining room is quite lovely as well
We split a salad and veal Marsala also had the pepper appetizer. Did not split in the kitchen and brought both at the same time. Never refilled our wine glasses. Ordered cappuccino but server did not know they didn’t have it. No one in management walked around to check on its guests. The food was mediocre. Give it a max of 6 months
