   The service was excellent, even by NYC standards. We loved the food and would definitely go back. the Kale appetizer was our favorite. We enjoyed all of the dishes and would definitely return.

    All in all a very enjoyable dinner. Well served. The kale salad was amazing as were the tortellini with faves and morelles. Always one of our favorite restaurants to dine in when we are visiting NY

    The octopus was one of the best I have had in a while. Some unique items on the menu that were amazing. The Greek Rosè wine was a pleasant surprise. A must try.

    Service was terrible. We sat with dishes on the table for a half hour before they were cleared. The kale salad was drowning in salad dressing. And to add a service charge without saying anything is really poor form

    I have been wanting to try for a long time and was not disappointed. The food was really delicious with large portions and the service was exemplary - everyone on the service team was friendly and professional and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely return. (Wines by the glass were a little pricey - maybe a bottle next time!) Really enjoyed the experience.

    We were here on a Tuesday night about 9 pm so it's not exactly typical. Everything was excellent, surprisingly so, as the prices are moderate (remember, gratuity is included although add a bit more). I had the dorade, which I can't recommend enough: the presentation was beautiful, it was cooked perfectly, and the flavors were great. Service was fine too. I'm not going to say anything about the wine list as prices are high, too high as far as I'm concerned.

    Lovely evening with my childhood friend - the fish was perfectly fresh and so abundant. The waiters were very friendly and the cocktails were Spectacular- I just wasn’t crazy about the wine list

    Interesting menu that doesn’t overwhelm with too many choices. Service is friendly and efficient and prices are a bit high as they include the service gratuity. That’s what is done in European restaurants and it makes a lot of sense.

    The food was very good and the service excellent. the minimalist decor was not pleasing to me and bc ther was to carpet or soft decor to absorb the sound, it was quite noisy . The staff and service were excellent and the food very good but bc of the decor and noise I would not return.

    I was there in a party of 4. We enjoyed the food and found the service excellent. We appreciated that there were non meat selections on the menu. However we had no advance notice that there was to be loud live music in a small space. We came from out of town to spend time with friends and could not carry on conversations once the music began. We asked twice that it be lowered and finally left after the main meal not willing to spend any relaxing time at the end having to tolerate inappropriately loud music.

    Absolutely exquisite. Amali really hits it out of the park. Every dish was sophisticated in its flavor profile, and wine was absolutely top tier. We also are a group of people well versed on food and wine, and we were even impressed. The ambiance is amazing and very cozy and intimate but also versatile so anything from a date night dinner to a team corporate dinner can be enjoyed at the establishment. It was also the proper sound level where our group of 8 could hear each other talk, much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and definitely will be visiting again soon.

    I had a quick lunch with a colleague before a meeting. The restaurant was not full because it was 2 pm and so was quiet. The staff weee extremely pleasant and helpful in providing us with fast service because we had limited time. The food was delicious, with ample servings.

    So many restaurants in nyc and often hard to find a really good one. Amali is a cute cozy space, very friendly and attentive service and very good food. The live ensemble was a treat as well!
