Very good food but slightly pricey. View was awesome. Service was a bit slower. They offer so many amazing gluten free options. Definitely a great spot on the water.
The server never put our order in and charged us for food we didn’t even get.
Wasn’t a good experience at all
Great experience as always!! John Marco was our server and was great - handled a tough crowd very well - thank you!!!!
Ambiance and scenery 🙌🏽…. The food is always good and the service is always impeccable. Enjoyable dining experience.
Perfect Sunday lunch - great food, great view, refreshing drinks.
The whole experience was a bit underwhelming given the reviews. The food was okay, but not great. Definitely overpriced for what it is
We had been to Amara before and I will be honest it was just ok. That was 2 years ago. This time is was amazing! Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. We will definitely be going back.
We sat outside by the waterfront watching the beautiful skyline of Mismi Beach. Appetizers, Chenin Blanc, and main course food was delicious. Great service and management.
Love this place. Good awesome
I will be back Excellent service and great site. Thanks
Loved it. Vibes are so on point and service is good. All attractive workers too lmao
great food and service the view is beautiful
Creo que falta ambiente y buena música.
The atmosphere of Amara is absolutely incredible! The drinks were really good. I will definitely be back.
Excellent food and service. Location& views are great
lovely atmosphere and delicious dishes — octopus tacos and duck wings are winners
The service was the worse part of this dinner, we waited for drinks order, we waited for the main ( snapper) for over 30 min. We waited for water, coffee and the bill… it was a constant wait. By the time the fish arrived we couldn’t eat anymore as we filled ourselves with appetizers due to the wait. Overall it was the worse experience I have had here in all the times I have been here before. Food was ok
Beautiful place with great view and excellent food.
excellent food, service and beautiful view I will recommend this restaurant to my friends without hesitation
Very beautiful place. Evening/night dinner is gorgeous.
La comida es buena.
Poca variedad de carne en una parrillada.
Terrible servicio de Valet parking
Nice setting not the best food
Amara was recommended to us so we were excited to go. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice enough and we had a great table out by the water. One aspect that was a bit distracting though was the amount of public traffic between where we were seated and the rest of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the looks and ambiance of the restaurant is what kept us there, if it weren't for that we would've left due to the mediocre service we received. Additionally, the food was a little sub par for what we expected and for the cost. Even though the waiter comped our first round of drinks I have no desire to go back to Amara or to recommend to a friend.
Tasha was our server, she was funny and joked with us! Atmosphere is a great vibe and food was good! Yuca cheese balls are a must try.. i told my family that i want them served at my funeral
Always in always a pleasure~~
Amazing dining experience! Incredible food, service and drinks!!
It was fantastic, one of the best meals I’ve ever had and the service was fantastic!
Beautiful location, food is ok but service is very slow.
Amazing service. Beautiful place in front of the bay and also good food . We ordered the fish dip for appetizer and the bone in ribeye for main course and everything was delicious .
Service was very slow, we had to ask several servers to get a water refill, we order the drinks and appetizers and then nobody came back to ask for the main dish not even after removing the empty appetizers plates, then dirty plates from main dishes were never removed after finishing eating, not even when they gave us the check. Food was good but service was so poor that outshined the whole experience…
Great place, nice setting, good food, outstanding service!
Food is outstanding. Wine list is small, but excellent. Sommelier brought us some special items even though they were not the price point of what we were looking for (we went for it anyway). Service was excellent, although the table got crowded at times. Try everything. You won’t go wrong.
Always in good taste
This time my experience was not entirely pleasant. I had reserved a table outside for 2:45 PM. The hostess wanted to give us a table under the sun without umbrella, even though there was an umbrella available next to us with plenty shadow, she didn’t want to move the table instead she offered us table indoor until other table would be available. I agreed to sit inside, after 10 minutes of waiting, Angelica came to take the order. Meanwhile we saw tables being vacated and occupied without we being replaced in one outside ... we ordered mimosas, then after having eaten the entrees and drunk some mimosas in the middle of the main course, they told us to move to outside table. We took our food and went outside. When the bill arrived we saw that they had charged us 130 dollars only in Mimosas, we had drunk 10; even though the menu said they had a carafe of 11 mimosas for $ 80, which we thought we were drinking. The problem here is that the waitress never offered us that option for brunch and chose to order the most expensive mimosas for us, which they were also not described on the menu. I kindly asked her to explain why she did not offer us the carafe and she replied that we did not ask for that option. I want to think it was a bona fide mistake. I’ve been a waiter, worked in bars and restaurants and always made sure to offer customers the promotions we had first, be it happy hour or bottomless mimosas to make sure they are ordering what they really want. At the end we paid the bill and left 20% tip but we left with a bitter taste from the service we had. I personally won’t go anymore. I am disappointed.
The view is EPIC!
great staff, extraordinary chef, superstar table and am amazing date made for an evening of magic. Thank you!
My wife and I are avid foodies. We ordered numerous items from every course and here's our breakdown;
Cocktails: the cocktails had to have been 1 of our favorite enjoyments from this establishment. Great on taste and alcohol content
Starters: we had ordered the grilled octopus tacos along with the short ribs empanada, grouper ceviche, and duck wings. The grilled octopus tacos were sub par by far. A doughy non crunchy or crispy tortilla along with chewy breaded octopus. This dish lacked the flavor profile as described with a valiant attempt at crunch via cabbage. The short rib empanada left alot to be desired. Not even filled enough with a very doughy almost calzone like pastry the chimichurri offered was something that belonged on an Italian sandwich. The duck wings lacked alot in flavor that duck is known for. Not much richness or meat on these wings. The grouper ceviche was our favorite in this course with the grouper being properly seasoned and tender. It was good in flavor but not something that blows your mind.
Entrees: my wife had ordered the full snapper. Flavor was all one note. I had ordered the surf and turf with everything being slathered in a sauce with onions. My rib eye being cooked beautifully however the meat being overpowered by a sauce and toppings was in poor execution. Everything took on the same flavor.
Desserts: we had ordered the flan and tres leches. Both were incredible along with beautifully executed espresso martinis. By far our favorite course
Service: service was by far lackadaisical. Server showed no knowledge of menu and basically just regurgitated what was written on the menu. One of our courses were forgotten and was brought out to us at the end of the meal (they removed it from the bill due to an error on their part) We were left unattended for large spans of time with empty drinks , plating, etc.
Ambiance: the view is beautiful however private dining is not worth the 500$ minimum.
Incredible view, even better food. The shrimp aguachile was incredible. Cant pass up the yuca puffs. Such a great fresh fish spot!
Menu listed snapper but was served Halibut- sent it back. I had the steak salad ( lunch) but the steak pieces were very fatty and I couldn’t chew them. They should use a better cut of meat for a $30 salad. The ambiance was great- we ate outdoors. The tuna tostado and the grouper cerviche were good.
