   The ambience beside a lake is lovely, and our waiter, Dan, was terrific! We went for Sunday brunch on Mother's Day so we had the brunch menu. We had the oysters, which were fine but seemed to take forever to come to us. We had the Italian eggs Benedict, which was fair but only vaguely warm. We also had the Heirloom Tomato Salad with Shrimp. The salad was fresh but the cooked shrimp was unseasoned and almost flavorless. Then we asked for a slice of the strawberry cheesecake which was fine but we had to wait at least 20 minutes for someone to cut a slice and get it to us!

   We have eaten here many times and had wonderful experiences so I was excited to take my wife for Mothers Day. We were greeted and seated promptly in a table by the window overlooking the water as requested. After 5 mins our server Sylvia came and greeted us, took our order for water and coffee. We ended up waiting another 20 mins for her to return to take our brunch order and bring us Splenda that we needed for the coffees that another waitress brought. After 5 mins my wife needed a coffee refill and we couldn’t find our waitress. She ended up flagging down another server. Coffee refill finally came and it was cold. I was never able to get a mimosa refill on the bottomless mimosas. When the food came I couldn’t find the waitress to get extra condiments. My toast was cold and hard by the time we received jam. Our brunch was over when she brought a mimosa refill. After eating we couldn’t flag her down to get boxes and the check for 15 mins. This was not the positive experience that we are used to. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service.

   Been here a few times, always pretty good with good service. Went there for Mothers Days and they did nothing special for the Mothers. A piano sat vacant; the usual limited brunch menu was in place. Disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this spot for this type of occasion. Nothing wrong with the food or service. Portions are small, good to know if you are going there very hungry.

   We had a reservation. But it took 35 minutes to seat us. Then we were taken to a lame and dirty table outside right in the pathway so tight that others would bump the table trying to get by. So then it took 10 more min to get us a table. Our food was not good. We had pappadelle pasta which was undercooked and bland with way too much pesto and old tasting pine nuts. No offer for parmesean cheese. No salt or pepper on the table. The bread was burned. Salad was also bland with huge leaves of salad. Also while waiting at the bar it was almost impossible to get bartenders attention and when we finally did he was out of martini glasses. There was no offer to make things right even though they ruined my wifes mothers day meal. Will never return.

    I had been wanting to try Americana for several years. I made reservations for our anniversary this year only to be sadly disappointed. The staff was friendly, but service was terribly slow. I get Friday nights can be busy, but they weren’t. Many open tables around us so not sure what took so long. We had to remind our server we’d ordered drinks which arrived with melted ice from clearly sitting at the bar for so long. The table side steak Diane was fun to watch, but the medium rare I ordered was almost completely well done. Sides were cold and the extra charge for shrimp and scallops is excessive for cold and unseasoned seafood. The screaming baby a few tables away didn’t help, but that’s only the fault of the parents. The view is lovely though so if you don’t go for dinner, maybe? My husband and I will not be back.

    Pleasing atmosphere. Dark wood, well appointed interior. Nice vibe. Piano player. Nice but very small bar. We ate outdoors on a charming and romantic courtyard. Ducks, hummingbirds, geese. Some tiny bugs but not bad. Appetizers were average, expensive and unexceptional. Primary disappointment was 1) very bland food- absolutely nothing was up to the environment. Veal was over-cooked and dry. Chicken also dry and flavorless despite a small amount of equally bland lemon sauce. Steak was requested medium but was very rare. Swordfish portion was thin and tiny- and also dry- on a bed of soggy, tasteless rice. The service was friendly when they came, but disorganized and extremely slow and inattentive. What a shame. Bottom line is - this special location deserves much better food.

    We heard this was such a beautiful restaurant. It is right on the water in Desert Shores, so we booked a table outside and had an amazing view of the lake. There were ducks and geese, and we could see the rabbits in the grass across the lake. our table was underneath these beautiful trees with lights. It was just gorgeous. The perfect setting for a date. That’s where it ended though. And I really really wanted to love this restaurant as my new favorite go to because it is so beautiful. The cocktails we ordered were marginal. Nothing unusual, or unique. We had the shrimp appetizer, and it was over breaded and smothered in this orange sauce (full disclosure. The menu did say it had old-school crack sauce on it.) I ordered the chicken piccata and expected pounded chicken with a nice sauce of lemon and white wine and capers. I received a full roasted chicken breast and a chicken thigh with the skin still on, and it was completely over salted. There was no sauce to speak of. There were two capers on my plate, and the rest of the sauce was just juice from the chicken. It came with polenta fries. Which were OK. My husband ordered the pork chop which came with a side of baked beans. The pork chop was undercooked and he ate one bite and pushed his plate away. We did not try the desserts. Sad to say, despite its beauty and ambience, we will not be returning.

    Sat outside and it was delightful. Had the steak Diane which was delicious. Wine prices not too bad. This is an expensive restaurant so be prepared. $360 including tip per couple.

    What a wonderful afternoon. Fabulous food, service and ambience. This is a true 5 star restaurant. The weather now is perfect for sitting inside or out as the restaurant is on the lake. A little hidden but worth the trip. No need to go to the strip for a special occasion or if you just want to treat yourself. The prices are much more reasonable than most 5 star restaurants. As a local this is definitely the place to go.

    We dined at Americana for the first time on Easter Sunday.It was past the busy brunch time. Was seated outside by the water which was beautiful.Unfortunately we sat next to 3 women diners who were drinking and extremely loud and obnoxious.Other diners also seated outside were also disturbed by these women. It took 50 minutes to get our food and when it did come out it was cold. Not that busy so should not have taken that long. Waitress did try very hard to make it up to us.She brought out an appetizer after our dinner came out and tried to replace some of the cold food.Very disappointed overall with this caliber of a restaurant. Manager never came out to speak with us. Chicken dish just ok.Swordfish was good. Good luck if you go here.Hope you have a better experience than we did.

    This is the first time we came for dinner and decided to just stick to brunch from here on out. Drinks were terrible. New bartender? Service (food wise, not waitress) was slow. 2 couples came in at least 30 min after us were seated, served, and left before we were even served. My steak was to supposed to be medium rare, but you still have to cook it a bit. Overall, not impressed with dinner. And seriously, mention a dress code to your guests. It's a nice place. Sweat jackets and baseball hats should be unacceptable.

    Food was very good. I ordered Cobb salad and the chef decided to add blue cheese to it even though it wasn’t on your menu. Once I saw it I mentioned it to server who said they would remake another. So my husband loved his burger and was 1/2 done when second salad came out. Was a good experience and one of our favorite places to eat when we’re in town visiting family.

    Hidden treasure! Visiting my dad in LV. He wanted to take his awesome neighbors to lunch to show his gratitude for all they do for him. They suggested Americana, less then 5 minutes from his & their home. Such a beautiful dining room with a gorgeous view of the lake enhanced the delicious food and exceptionally kind & accommodating staff.

    The waiter was inattentive my husbands food was cold. When asked (the Busser) to warm it The Waiter came over , took it back BUT it STILL came back cold. She did not one time came over to ask @how we were doing. We told her about at the end she just said “sorry, come back and see us soon” AS IF???     This was not our first time at Americana, but sadly it will be our last. We were dining with friends that have also dined there before. Our experience started with our wait person taking our drink orders. 2 glasses of wine and 2 mixed drinks. The wine came quickly with the explanation of the bar tender being busy and behind. Four times our wait person came to the table and continued to say they are behind. Didn’t ask if we wanted to change our drink order at all. After about 20 mins our cocktails were delivered. Each one of us ordered a different entree and we all we sadly disappointed. The pork chop was over salted, the venison was undercooked, tasteless and slimy. The salmon and the turbot were tasteless as well. Not once did our wait person come to check on us and our satisfaction. An additional glass of wine was ordered and was not worth the price they charged. I will say that our wait person was extremely busy as it seemed they did not spread out her tables and continued to sit a new party rather frequently. Less than good dining experience and we won’t be going back.

    Easily the best dining experience I had in Las Vegas! Our waiter was exceptional. He offered good suggestions, was very attentive and personable. The food was superb, the Steak Diane was fantastic with generous portions, enough for 2 to split. This will be on my itinerary every time I visit without a doubt.
