   The server was friendly, but the manager fell short. We were disappointed with how the coffee was served, and to make matters worse, the manager's attitude was off-putting. It took them 15 minutes to debate whether to credit our bill for the coffee, which only added to our frustration. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by poor management and a lack of customer care.

   Love this place. Outstanding menu, so much to choose from! The best staff anywhere, so welcoming and attentive. The servers are amazing with their incredibly detailed knowledge of the vast specialty dishes. They were very busy, as always, and service during parts of our experience was a little slow, but not at all bad. In a way it makes for a more relaxed dining experience than you find at most restaurants these days as you're definitely not being rushed. Enjoy!

   We had an amazing meal tonight. Our first time and our waiter Pete, did a great job explaining the menu and walking us through the dining experience. Looking forward to coming back (we live in the Bay Area )

   First time. This was a perfect mid way location for lunch to meet our family from Newport Coast and Gardena area. The ambience was spacious, friendly and unique, it felt as if we were on vacation and travelled to another country. We shared the 3 item mezze- cucumber and yougurt, roasted beets and beet hummus, 2 baskets of homemade pita. The orders for the 4 of us included 3 kebab plates- 2 lamb skewers, rib eye beef and kafta, and lamb and kafta, the 4gh had the healthy bowl. All items were delicious with large servings of the 2 sides for each of our kebab plates. The pita and hummus were delicious. The service was outstanding with Keira who was friendly, professional and offered her suggestions and explanations of the menu items. I loved the decor with antiques and details to give us a middle eastern vibe. Definitely will return!

   Ammatoli is a fine restaurant - good atmosphere, decent food...but, $170 for three people for a roast chicken, salad and humus? I guess you're paying for the atmosphere.

   Love ammatoli! I always start with the 3-way mezza, moussaka for the main, and Knafeh for dessert. Always delicious and great value because they are not dishes you can easily replicate at home. Best place in DTLB for a nice dinner.

    The weekend brunch menu provides an excellent variety of choices. The food was very tasty, as it was during our last visit. Our family had quite a wide selection of entree’s: shakshuka, shawarma, freekeh, and a Greek salad. The beet hummus was unique and quite good. We topped off our healthy choices with carrot cake for dessert. This is a family favorite restaurant for special occasions and we will be back.
