Always good food

Probably should have staffed more considering the sunshine. Seemed like server was also responsible for making drinks which lead to waiting 20 mins for a Caesar with no spices or flavour. Place is nice but needs some attention to detail and service

We sat outside, I was worried it might be cold but there were plenty of heaters and the offer of blankets.
Our server Kevin was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive.

The service and food was great. But the reservation process was not ideal. As you know we cannot eat inside so patio is the only option. However, Amsterdam has yurts and I wanted to book one of these but this was not an option on your site. I mentioned it in the comments but the restaurant didn't get this message and had not set us up in the yurt.
However, there was a free yurt and they were able to set us up in there and it was a great experience.

Good food and great service!

There appeared to be some confusion at the door. Even though we had a 3:00 reservation we were made to wait about 15 minutes while they seated other people with 3:00 reservations.

I really like Amsterdam Barrel House. The food is good and the beer is excellent. I was a bit disappointed after having a reservation and then still having to wait to get a table. Then finally sitting down and the server first served a table that showed up after us. That was annoying. The service improved a little bit afterwards. Amsterdam always has very good food. I recommend the delicious cauliflower app and the double stout is amazing. The service is generally very good. This time it was average.

Our experience was only marred by the absence of the fire burning. It was cold up on the second floor.

Pretty good - our service was a bit slow due to the weekend crowd - but that is just picking up the nitty-gritty.
In general - the food was great - the beer was great - seating was good.
The location is a bit off, especially if you are using TTC as you might drink.
Does not have a great view of the likes of Amsterdam Brewhouse but then you get the reservation fairly easily.

Really enjoyed our first visit here. All covid precautions are taken seriously and felt very safe and able to enjoy some normalcy.

Drinks were really lovely and the staff were knowledgeable and recommended some great beers for us. Food was top quality and really tasty.

We were sat outside but next to a lovely gas fire and were warm (with coats) despite the cool weather. There were other heaters and fires dotted around. A great place to get out for a drink and some grub!

We love being able to pop into the restaurant because the patio is a safe area, attractive. The staff is very accommodating and helpful.

Food was overpriced and very bland. Server was pretty good but even with a reservation we were made to wait almost 15 minutes before being seated. Not a great value here. Many other places in the neighbourhood offer far better food with prices to match.

This is definitely my go-to place. Now that the weather is getting cooler, they have begun using the outdoor fireplaces and heaters which adds to the ambiance and some welcome warmth. The food is a great value and delicious. Even though it is extremely challenging for the staff and restaurant to navigate during the COVID restrictions, you would never know that it has any kind of negative effect on them as everyone is so positive and cheerful, despite what I am certain are often negative circumstances with some guests. Always a pleasure to come here and experience what Barrel House has to offer! Come soon and often while the weather is still conducive to outdoor dining.
