    Great dinner as usual. Tried a few new items from the menu, herb roasted chicken with cauliflower rice - very nice! Good service, fast. We love this place.

    When ordering food for take out, I was presented with a pizza box style take out container. Now this container would not have been an issue if I ordered a pizza or a sandwich but when you order the Herb Roasted chicken dish with creamy cauliflower rice dish that has sauces and cheese, a cardboard pizza box just doesn’t cut it. On top of the cardboard box, the food was placed on top of some serving paper which then got soggy from the rice and had to be picked out from the food. This is something that Amsterdam has to do better one. You cannot serve foods with liquids in cardboard boxes. Would you put soup in this type of box as well? For the cost of a $28 meal I would never buy this for take out.

    We celebrated a young child’s birthday at the Amsterdam. Staff were really pleasant and accommodated are somewhat messy infant with good grace. The food was very good and we were very happy with our evening.

    Our server Aliyah was outstanding. It was however quite noisy outside which took away from the enjoyment. Also apparently you do not serve Shandy..

    We are regulars here since it opened. We almost always get the Smokehouse burger. Unfortunately, last night we were disappointed in what we got. It used to come with a brioche bun. However, last night it was a cold potato bun according to our server. It looked more like a wonder bread bun that they ran over to Longo‘s to get. The cold bun made all the toppings cold. Please go back to the brioche bun and please make sure our food is warm. Maybe it was just a bad night because usually the food and ambience is great!

    Hi Ruth, Thank you for the honest feedback. Yes, we did change our buns and people really have enjoyed it as we had a ton a feedback that the brioche buns were too sweet for our burgers. We definitely should not have served them cold, as they should be toasted for every burger, so apologies that we missed that last night.     The food was good but not as good as I remember in the past. The smoked brisket tasted a bit dry and the flavour did not penetrate the meat. I would love to see a greater variety in the menu and perhaps weekly/monthly/seasonal specials. The service was competent and professional. I love sitting out on the patio in the shade. It is pleasant and quiet, so we can talk. Too bad summer is soon going to be over. I love coming to your place and I would come more often if there was greater variety in the menu.     We are regulars at Amsterdam but this time we both had the Thai Curry for the first time and we really enjoyed it. It had a good variety of healthy ingredients, which is important to me as a recently diagnosed diabetic. The dish also had a great zing to it. The service was as good as usual and we enjoyed ourselves.

    Nous avons été agréablement surpris,nous avions réservé en ligne car nous venions de Montréal et nous ne connaissions pas ce restaurant.l’accueil de l’hôtesse était parfait.souriante,polie efficace.Ensuite le service de la serveuse était de la même qualité et que dire des plats que nous avion commandé.c’était de bonne qualité aussi mais surtout les fèves lard,nous n’en avions jamais mangé d’aussi bonne,elles étaient même meilleur que celle de que faire ma mère 😁.bref nous avons été satisfaits.nous allons y retourner quand nous allons aller à Toronto! La bière aussi était très bonne.

    This restaurant is pleasant, and the food quality is good, though not outstanding. Unfortunately, the rooftop area wasn't tidy, and the waiter wasn't very friendly. I'd rate it 4 stars overall.

    2nd time in the past 6 months that I was reported to Open Table as a no show, despite attending the reservation on time and ordering drinks. I was assured the last time this happened that it wouldn’t happen again, and here we are. We go here frequently, but I’m thinking it may be time to start going elsewhere in the neighbourhood instead.

    Understaffed kitchen led to long wait times and only intermittent checks by wait staff. Dirty dishes left on table, no water or drink order refills. Not even a particularly busy evening! Too bad

    Previously excellent Portobello burger has been replaced by a messy, difficult to eat mushroom sandwich. This sandwich cannot be picked up.

    Hi Victor, Yes, the Magic Mushroom melt is a open faced, double stacked sandwich that is best eaten with a knife and fork, ideally drizzled with our Downtown Brown gravy for added flavour. We are sorry to hear that you weren't impressed by it as it has been a favorite for many others.     This location has one of the best patios which is located on the upper level, but out of the last 5 times I have gone, it's only been open once. The downstairs patio is decent, the food is also decent and the service is excellent.

    Very nice venue, with ample parking. The service staff were very good. My steak was cooked exactly as ordered, though a little tasteless. The side salad was a bit weird. The noise level and related echoes were acceptable. The seating was comfortable. The value for money was very good.

    We are regulars, for many reasons, obviously good reasons. Last night….music was too loud, brisket sandwich was lacking because there was much less meat than we have been served in the past and the Caesar was not up to par… there was little caesar flavour, no hint of your usual delicious dressing, the bacon was sweet, seriously that is not a flavour to add to a nice garlicky caesar dressing and the crispy tofu was not crispy. Service was great and attentive as always. Fish and chips wonderful. Yes we will return. Yes, next time maybe will tell the server, but we just wanted to have dinner and leave.
