Anatoli Souvlaki was opened by Helen & Thomas in the spring of 1984. They had a dream of combining the food of Greece with great service to add some Mediterranean style to the North Vancouver restaurant selection. They opened in the sleepy neighbourhood of lower Lonsdale and lived above the restaurant to ensure the quality and service. They were able to create a North Vancouver staple, a successful thriving restaurant based on faithful patrons and a reputation that has been passed through generations.

We had not been to Anatoli's for a while and back in the day loved going..we made reservations, but it didn't seem to matter. Very slow in taking our orders. Our waiter seemed distracted. Food..just ok. Maybe it's us and we've just outgrown it. I wish them all the best!

Splendid evening with friends over your best wine! The best Greek lamb and freshest spani anywhere. Big thanks to our server Kostas, a very warm soul. We felt so cared for - esp the special needs person in our party. Kostas paid careful attention to him, and patiently deciphered his language. That meant so much.

In the past this restaurant had very good food. Unfortunately, our meal started with an order of overcooked pita (some pieces burnt) with humua followed by an order of undercooked and hard pita with humus.
The greek salad with the meal also did not taste fresh. We noticed there was a stack of greek salads sitting in the prep area, so not surprising it didn't taste fresh.
My prawn souvlaki was ok, but the rest of the dish was sub-standard compared to what we've had at this restaurant in the past.

We were first timers at Anatoly Souvlaki and both really enjoyed the whole experience. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a great, varied Greek menu. The food was fresh and delicious. Great wine selection too. All in all a great food experience. We’ll be back!

We went for my moms birthday and the service and food was impeccable. Two of us had the lamb souvlaki and my dad had the country lamb. Both delicious dishes. The lamb from the country lamb dish literally fell off the bone.

Will definitely go there again.

Thanks for the excellent service !

The food was super and the waiter was attentive without being intrusive. Tons of appetizers and a share plate that is $30 per person but has almost everything you could wish for in a Greek restaurant. It was a bit noisy, however. Great location, a short stroll from Lonsdale Quay and the Seabus. Parking is hard in the neighbourhood because of construction but the ICBC lot is free after 6 pm and all weekend.

We were seated promptly and service was very attentive. Appetizers were nice, we had olives and feta. Dinner was nice too, but potatoes were definitely left too long in the oven, 4 in our party had those as part of their dinner, Lamb kebab was great, rice too. All in all a nice dinner.

North Vancouver has quietly amassed an amazing collection of Greek restaurants--Anatoli is one of them. The location is amazing, and if it's Friday night its next to the Shipyards Night Market. A reservation is recommended, as is the lamb souvlaki.

Been a favourite for years. We've been coming to Anatoli's for as far back as I can remember. 30 years later, it still delivers good service and quality food.

We enjoyed the location, energy and food. We felt the prices were high for the souvlaki, especially with the upcharge for no potatoes or rice, with very little additional salad.

No complaints about the food and the service but it was so incredibly loud, we could not carry a conversation. We decided to eat quickly and head to a quieter place so we could catch up.

Food was just so so, I was expecting more. I would come back again for lunch , but it wasn't what I was expecting for a Birthday dinner - Lamb chops were tough and fatty, others enjoyed their meals but no one was raving about the food. Fun atmosphere and great location

Celebrated my birthday here again this year and it was fantastic as always. The server wasn't great to be honest and she forgot to punch in one of my friend's meals, but the owners took care of things and it was a great time overall. Fantastic food and the belly dancer is always a treat!

Food was ok. Our kalamari was oily. Lamb and chicken were good. Our service was horrible. Food and drinks kept going to wrong table. Waitress ignored us all night. Kept having to get other waitresses to bring us things such as napkins and refills. Nice place but wouldnt recommend based on service.

The Food was below par calamari should not be soggy. The portions were small for the price. The baklava was hard as a rock I had to cut it with a knife. The service was slow and also forgetful. I can understand the service if it was busy although there may have been maybe 10 people in there. I went due to the high reviews and I would not go back

Anatoli is one of the many jewels of the North Shore. Located right by the Seabus terminal, is a perfect place for a group of friends or for a romantic date. The food is superb and the service is impeccable. My favorite summer activity is to sip a Caesar on the patio watching the live around.

Phillip, our server, was very friendly and attentive and the Mezze platter was superb. One small complaint, however, was that we requested a table near the fire and we were stuck at a small table overlooking the washrooms. We were eventually moved to the window at the front which was a nice compromise. Thanks.
