Really fast service and good food. Good for a group lunch and a nice dinner with family and friends.
Good experience. Specially the server lady was a great personality and more than a trained staff member.
We had a booking. Got there- were completely ignored for 10 minutes while standing to be seated despite several staff seeing us. We were eventually seated but on the way to be seated the waiter stopped to deliver food to someone else’s table so we just had to stand there. Eventually got to our table. Another 10 minutes past before menus arrived. We then ordered food. Food came a reasonable time after we ordered. Once we had finished they came and got some of our plates but left the others. About 20 minutes past before they came back again & asked if we wanted anything else, we asked for coffee and dessert. Coffee arrived. Dessert never did. We finished the coffee, and waited another 20mins before we realised dessert wasn’t going to arrive- and neither was the bill or anyone to remove any of the plates- and it was very quiet at this point. We had to get up and go to the bar to pay. Food was average and not really worth the service. Service was the worst I’ve experienced in Calgary. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend and won’t return.
Good food, good portions. Great service! We will be back!
Food was great! Server was cheerful and helpful in recommendations and explanations of food.
Wonderful restaurant. We love the service, the food and the location- so close to Arts Common. Very convenient.
Great food and atmosphere. Worth noting though that they do not serve alcohol but rather have a corkage fee and you can bring your own. They also have a hallway directly to the jack singer and other things in that building so it's quite convenient to go there before a show. Lovely staff as well.
Lovely Meal - Delicious- great value! Welcoming ambiance in the restaurant with friendly and quick staff.
Excellent staff and tasty food
Delicious food, great atmosphere, wonderful staff, I highly recommend this place.
Booked the place for a very special event a week prior to arrival. They placed us at the very first from the entrance table. The kitchen was busy so we waited very long. Other than that everything else was OK.
Our server Maria was fantastic! The food was great. We had a tough time ordering because there were too many things that we wanted.
Went for an early dinner before a play, the staff asked which show and time then later reminded us so we were not late. Food was flavourful and worth every single dollar. Also dessert was heavenly way to finish before the play.
We were a party of four having a business dinner. The proprietor (I think) was very friendly and gave many suggestions and was attentive to us throughout our dinner. The place was not very busy and the food came with reasonable speed and it was delicious.
Great food, great service. Always an enjoyable experience. Thank you.
All of us (party if six) enjoyed our meal. Some of the best fish we have had in Calgary. Mushroom Pide also good, And of course, the baklava and Turkish coffee were highlights. Very good service. Handy location near the theatres.
They dealt with my gluten and dairy allergies well. The waitress was nice, but harried. They need a calmer atmosphere...too many of us were trying to get to the theatre at once.
Amazing food, super friendly service. We’d definitely return!
Food was delicious, I definitely recommend trying it out. Perfect for vegetarians and meat lovers. If you like wine bring your own (no alcohol on the menu) - they do not charge a corkage fee 👍
An amazing restaurant using super fresh ingredients. The lamb shank as well as the lamb kebabs were extremely tasty. And they have the best fresh baklava ever! We bring our own wine and it’s such a great deal for such great food.
Food was great and the service was pleasant, efficient and very friendly.
We had a great dining experience.
It was our first time trying Turkish cuisine and was very appreciative that our server took time to walk us through the menu explaining the taste we could expect from the dishes.
We loved the grilled meats, fresh salads, Turkish coffee, and warm desserts we ordered.
This place is a gem. The space is difficult to decorate with its vaulted ceilings and wide open spaces but Anatolia has done a great job making it feel classy while remaining comfortable.
The service was very professional with a friendly touch. We let them know we were going to a show at 7:30 and they made sure everything came out with plenty of time to enjoy it.
The food was really exceptional. We had the lamb skewer and eggplant and both were stunning. There was just the right kind of singed smokey taste on the outside while being tender and juicy on the inside. Very nice flavours all around. They even offered to make it ready to share instead of one entree each.
The staff were very accommodating and the food was excellent. Also, it's quite a treat to have a high quality BYOB restaurant in the downtown core. The price was also absolutely reasonable and I look forward to my next meal at Anatolia!
Amazing food, value prices and they treat you very well.
I have been coming to Anatolia's for many years and it never disappoints. Excellent food and service. A long time colleague of mine, who grew up in Ankara, now works in NL, reports that it is equal to her mothers home cooking. No place in Western Europe has she found a Turkish restaurant that she would ever want to go back to. Now ever visit to Toronto must include a stop in Etobicoke.
Always fantastic! Never had a bad experience. Would recommend
Our second time to Anatolia and once again, a great experience. The meze platter had the perfect combination of appetizers, and that bread!
The pide and kunefe here are both amazing.
For those that are considering dining here but hesitate after reading about poor service from other reviewers, remember to take everything with a grain of salt.
Yes, they’re usually quite disorganized and no, they have no idea where to place your meal so they ask who ordered what when food is delivered to your table.
Same both times I’ve been and I don’t see it ever changing, this is just their dynamic.
They’re consistent! LOL
Also, BYO if you would like wine with your meal, they do not serve alcohol.
Service not good. Waited almost 1 hr for food then had 20 mins to eat before had to leave. Food was good. Service was horrible.
Would have given it a better review but was disappointed in the slow service and the LACK OF LIQUOR LICENSE!!! That should be highlighted in bookings.
