Our visit to And/Ore was underwhelming, to say the least. The cutlery and dinnerware felt mismatched, with pieces sourced from different vendors, giving the restaurant an unpolished and disjointed vibe. The small plates on the menu made it feel more like we were sitting at a bar than a proper dining experience, and the miniature furniture didn’t help either—definitely not suited for anyone with a bigger frame. The space is incredibly tight, and you can easily hear conversations from all around, making it feel more crowded than cozy. Plus, the tables are so tiny that they can barely accommodate a proper meal if you plan to order more than one item. While I can deal with small chairs, the tables we were seated at were simply impractical. Additionally, the pictures on their website do a much better job of selling the place than the reality. The interior is too gloomy, making you feel like you’re missing out on sunlight, but it’s not dim enough to create a romantic or intimate ambiance. This place still has a long way to go in terms of developing a cohesive menu and creating a comfortable dining atmosphere.

Above Ground Experience. There was nothing wrong with and/ore but there was nothing particularly outstanding either. Service was slow, were seated and offered water and then didn’t see anyone again for 10min. Empty plates and empty glasses left on the table far too long. We were often searching for our server, any server! They seemed to spend a lot of time out of sight. They seemed very disorganized, maybe responsible for too many areas or tasks. Food was good, but also not great. Drinks were okay, but again not great. Wine list was okay, small selection. May try it again in a few months and maybe things will improve but there are some great restaurants in T.O., you don’t need to settle for average.

My wife and I came for the tasting menu seeing the high reviews. Some courses were tasty, some mediocre. Most of all I found the courses disjointed with no logical culinary path. Typically tasting menus intend to take you through a culinary journey that “flows” together from one course to another (e.g., Gramercy Tavern, Per Se, good Omakase spots). This felt like six independent dishes that have nothing to do with each other. Of the six courses I found 3 good, 3 not so good, but again my main concern was each courses relation to each other, which felt all over the map. We also did the wine pairing which I would not recommend. Given the price (and frankly at any price) they were not good. Just buy a bottle of wine. The cocktails were very nice as well. The service was excellent and I only have positive things to say about that. Overall, had high hopes given reviews we read coming in. I don’t quite understand why they’re so high. Lot of potential, the space is beautiful. I wouldn’t go back for the same experience.

This is one of the best restaurants in Toronto. The food is creative and delicious. The service is impeccable. Highly recommend.

My partner and I wanted to try this restaurant for our 2 year anniversary. We were called a day before to remind us of the reservation, we arrived 10 minutes early and were seated promptly We ordered a few drinks which were perfect, and the food was even better. Course after course they kept coming, perfectly on time with explanations of each ingredient used. Such a good experience The ambience of the place was fantastic with a special feel down in the cave Would recommend this place to any who ask about it 10/10 would be back

Honestly, it's much smaller than what you might see in the pictures. The table which we were provided was way too small for the food that they wanted to put on the table. The food was very average except for the Crispy potato. That was delicious. Drinks were good. A one-time visit, but won't be visiting again.
