Anepalco have a great variety of Mexican wines from Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California, and specialize in tequila and mezcal craft cocktails. Come and join us for a great dining experience by Chef Daniel Godinez.
Very good food & service. Good menu selection. Noise a bit more than I prefer but overall I would definitely go again
I've heard about this restaurant for quite a while and finally tried it. The food was much more imaginative than most Mexican restaurants here in OC. Portions were well sized and the food was delicious. Good margarita too. Our waiter was excellent. We'll be back.
Consistently amazing food and great drinks.
A modern mexican restaurant is exactly how I would describe Anepalco. Loved the decor and ambience. Their house margarita is the bomb! The food presentation is outstanding and, although a bit spicy, it was very tasty too!
Customer service is great. Very prompt and attentive.
Amazing food, great service — a little pricey but worth every penny
Best real Mexican food I've had anywhere, by a clear mile.
Party of 11, everyone was shocked with the quality of the food.
The most delicious, gourmet Mexican food in LA/OC ! Highly recommended!
Staff was nice. We went for the Chilaquiles... sad it was very soggy. Mixed drinks were good.
We have been here many times and never disappointed. The food is first class. By far not your ordinary Mexican food. The ambiance, music and atmosphere is very pleasant. As for service always attentive and professional.
Seated at a table next to the door leading out to the patio. Was a cool night not so we requested to move to a warmer spot within the restraunt. Our request wss honored after a short period of time and we were relocated by the hostess. our server Gabby was very warm, gracious, and hospitable. in actuality the entire staff fantastic in offering us genuine hospitality throughout our dining experience. Food presentation and taste are superb. great value and had an overall great experience. This was my second visit, and look forward to many more .
Good was good. But the place was freezing cold. So our food got cold real quick.
We visit Anepalco every year during NAMM — for the great food, margaritas, and service. Thank you!
Great experience with my customers. Very fair pricing for delicious food. Perfect amount of engagement from wait staff.
Loved the trendy decor and design of the space. The food all had beautiful presentation, even the appetizers. We loved everything that came out. They had a kids menu option for $10 for kids 10 and under. The 13 year olds did not like the options on the regular menu so that was unfortunately to have the entree cost and them not eat it. I hope to return here again.
Great place, Loved the brunch menu. Food was great as always.
Excellent good and great service.
The food is always superb and our server was great!
Food was exceptionally good. Great intense flavors, good variety to choose from, organic corn tortillas and a very good Spicy y Flaco margarita
I love this restaurant. Service is attentive, drinks are well crafted and the food is always good and inventive. Hosted are company holiday party and everyone enjoyed their meal, drinks and desserts.
Only negative was the music was TOO LOUD. When we asked for it to be lowered, we were told that is how the manager likes it, so no. We couldn't hearour conversations very well.
Go for the food and the drinks.
Anepalco's brunch is awesome! The chilaquiles and divorciados are always on point. Drinks are great too. Everyone is friendly and offer great customer service.
Anepalco is wonderful! The ONLY issue is the noise.....VERY loud, so be ready.
The food is OUTSTANDING!
The food was so delicious! I never leave a comment on open table but this place is worth! Juanita was our server and I must say she was THE BEST! I’m coming back again and again and again!! So delicious!!!
The tables are a metal mesh construction and very uncomfortable to rest one's arms on. Our table was outside on the patio and was pleasant but unfortunately, the restaurant is very close to a hospital; during the evening a number of ambulances with sirens and even a Life Flight helicopter landing nearby interrupted the otherwise romantic setting. Nevertheless, the food was excellent and the staff was very attentive. If not for the noise level, I would give this restaurant 5 stars, although it is rather expensive for what you get. One failing I noticed is that they cannot make a blended margarita - only on the rocks...what restaurant with a bar doesn't even have a blender?
The food and drink are always amazing. It’s a prefect little spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
We've eaten at Anepalco a dozen times in the past year. The food is always excellent - the chef is very talented and were first introduced by our chef who loves the cuisine.
The service has gotten better over time and is now excellent as well.
This time our enjoyment was not complete because of the sound level - the music was too loud and when we said it was too loud and we would have to sit outside, they let us do that in 90+ degree weather. Sitting on the patio is nice but not when it's that hot. I really can't believe that most guests like the music that loud - it's reminiscent of a habana nightclub kind of loud.
We made a reservation to make certain we could have a table and sit inside. This was very disappointing.
But I would always recommend Anepalco and have for the excellent food and service.
The food was a big let down..
Great service, wonderful food!!
Good place for modern and delicious Mexican food and great cocktails.
Wonderful anniversary treat!
Everyone so nice and friendly. Food delicious. Better than I expected!
Food and service was very good. Cocktails were excellent. Sat on the patio very noisy and helicopters landing at UCI very very loud.
So very good. The cocktails are perfect as is the food. Mole is to die for. The huevo divorciado is heaven on a plate
Juanita our server was great! Gracias por el gran servicio
Our party of five ordered water, a cocktail and a beer. It took a long time for the second beer to be delivered. We enjoyed the chips but the salsa quickly disappeared; it was not refilled. We ordered guacamole, but the chips were gone by the time it arrived. We asked for more chips, and waited a long time for the chips to come. Our experience started on a rather sour note. We were seated on the patio and could see our server busy at tables inside. The patio was noisy as there were many emergency sirens during dinner. We found the organization of the menu to be somewhat confusing. The note on the menu indicating that modifications cannot be made to menu items certainly narrowed the choices for vegetarians in the crowd. We all enjoyed our food, but the experience of waiting for chips and waiting for one of the beers and not understanding the menu and then waiting for our check left a bad taste in our mouth.
We ordered Steak Arrrachera with Chilaquiles not the other way around... we received 5 small pieces of steak and a mountain of chilaquiles... they need to change the name of this dish to Mount Chilaquiles
Excellent Mexican food. The enchiladas are outstanding as is anything with their homemade mole sauce. The chilaquiles are the BEST. They also have an excellent IPA on tap from Baja Brewing Company. The staff are friendly and courteous.
Juanita our server was amazing. Made great recommendations and always made sure our glasses were filled. Such a great experience for us as well as our birthday boy friend!
We made reservations for this restaurant and showed up on time. We were not greeted by the host she just sat there and stared at us until we told her that we had a reservation in which she replied “let me see if there are any tables open for two”, as if we did not just say that we had shown up for a reservation. When we sat down the post handed us menus and walked away without saying anything, came back in for us a glass of water and when I asked if I could also order a cocktail and some chips and guacamole she told me that she would go grab my server for me and just walked away. She then yelled from across the restaurant “he knows”, but the other person in my party had not ordered their drink and they wanted to order an appetizer. The host then went and sat another couple who did not have a reservation and the server came up and started helping them first after we’ve been sitting there waiting for anything besides water. The service was so bad that we got up and left. I will literally never come here to eat because of how awful the service was.
My favorite foods are the Pork Belly Tacos, Agua Chile, and Spicy Flaca Margaritas!
