We had eaten and enjoyed Aniq before, but this meal far surpassed the previous. The live music and busy atmosphere also made for a really fun night. The food was delicious and so varied, and everything we ate was 10/10!
Group of 3 visited for dinner and drinks. Loved the atmosphere. Service was great. Ended up ordering a number of shareable plates - east coast oysters, dumplings, curry salted onion rings, K-Town ribs and the kimchi fried rice. Absolutely wonderful. Would highly recommend.
Aniq was a nice place to have a bite to eat. The Decor is lovely but the service needs help. The wait staff seemed to not really know much about dining etiquette and not too organized. Our means were brought out while we were still having our appetizer and sat there and got cold. Our food was rushed but then when it came to getting the bill and our plates cleared off the table it took a very long time. Not once did they acknowledge it was a birthday. The food was tasty but will go elsewhere for better service.
The food was OK. I liked the roasted brussels sprouts best and the soba noodles were good too. Shrimp burger was not that great, even though it is supposed to be a favourite, we were all disappointed by it. It needed more zip. Curried onion rings were also nothing special. It was a lovely space and we'd have stayed for the music if we'd could have.
It was a quiet night so I don’t know what it would be like when busier but we loved the place. The guacamole was out of this world. The shrimp burger was very good as well. We also enjoyed the $1/oz draft wine!
Amazing food great ambiance terrific service one of my favourite places to eat!!
We were seated in the back with a very large party and it was hard to have a conversation. The table beside us asked to be moved . No fault of the restaurant as it is fairly small.
Made a reservation at Aniq for two on a Friday night. Place is a hidden gem. The food was incredible, service was outstanding. We tried oysters, edamame guacamole, shrimp tacos, halloumi salad and cheesecake. Everything was exceptionally good. Cocktails were great too.
Kitchen is open till 10pm, even on a Friday. Wish they had extended the time. Must visit! Definitely going back.
Super value. Great food and service
Food was not in any way like the online pictures. A lot of fried food and not enough balance in the larger meal choices. Value for money was poor - especially with the salads using mostly mixed lettuce leaves and fried scallions. Shared meals were brought out all at once, no adaption to the service options for people sharing meals.
Service was excellent and the food outstanding. Best take I had on comfort favorites in a long time: flavorful melt in your mouth/crunchy Mac and Cheese, just the right balance of everything in the halloumi salad and the warm brussel sprouts salad. Tacos are this incredible mix of flavors, textures and cuisines. Roomy laid-back seating at the back. Well-priced drink menu. Everything is great shared and ambiance is wonderful whether for lunch, dinner date or party
This restaurant is a refreshing change from the usual spots in Toronto!
Having lived in Melbourne Australia for a few years (massive foodie scene), this is the first restaurant in Toronto I have had the pleasure of experiencing that was close to my Melbourne dining experiences. The quality and taste of the food here made my taste buds dance! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys modern Asian fusion. Service was also excellent! Everyone should try this place!
Finally a restaurant that everyone in the family loves. The food is spectacular and the service is friendly and thoughtful.
Top notch service. Great fixed menu with wine pairing on Valentines Day. Just beautifully prepared food with fresh and delicious ingredients. I’ll be back.
Food was amazing, servers were so great and down to earth. Can’t wait to return!
Lovely, inventive food. Heavy on salt and oil and far from healthy
The food is inventive and well made. And the drinks list compliment the food perfectly.
Food was amazing! Savoured every last bit. Six of us shared numerous plates - all SO good. Really delish.. highly recommend. Cocktails were great too! 2nd time there - will definitely go again.
Excellent flavour in all of the dishes we had. There were 3 of us and we were advised to order 5-6 dishes for sharing. We started with Edamame Guacamole served with very crispy (not sure what) that was a touch spicy and tons of flavour. Then we had the Baby Octupus (could have eaten 4 servings of this!), Fried Cauliflower, Short ribs and Kimchi Fried Rice. The short ribs were very flavourful but not necessarily my thing as I don't eat much beef - they were very good though. Loved the rice and cauliflower. Small servings which is fine as the prices are extremely reasonable. Tons of great flavours in all dishes and I would go back for sure.
Excellent service and food was amazing!
Loved it! Will definitely be back! What a gem
Came for Saturday night.
Shared three plates between two and HD more than enough. If you like truffles this is your place!
The food was good, but unfortunately the restaurant is very limited in gluten free options. Only four items on the menu were possible, and it seems that this is due to using soy sauce with gluten in virtually everything on the menu. It would be so great if they could use GF soy sauce so that the restaurant would be more accessible to people who have no choice but to avoid gluten. It would be easy. The other issue is that the music was out of place for the atmosphere. They have done a great renovation, with exposed brick, and neat copper lighting, but the music was techno-dance club style, more suited to a bar than a restaurant.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Had the ssam platter with 3 other people and loved everything. The only complaint was that there wasn’t enough sauce or lettuce with the meat on the platter. Otherwise an amazing meal!
