Lamb dishes are delicious. Overall good service.
Servers need to pay attention to drinks
super bad experience i ever had in my life
just waste on money
Great food accompanied by excellent service. Our server Manreet was an absolute delight, very polite, attentive, and responsive. Will be back.
Food was extremly spicy. We are indian family and use spices but for even us it was difficulty to eat. May be the cheff put two times by mistake as we have not seen that much spices in canada restaurents.
If spices were normal food's taste was good and quantity was good as well.
We complained about it to the service person, but she did not respond properly and did not offer to change the dishes.
Naan's were cold.
Service is very poor ... you have to almost run to catch the service person.
We visited Anokhi this time again because during our first visit experience was excellent. This time we were disappointed because food taste was average and we waited for quiet a long time for our order to arrive. Overall this time my experience was just average. I hope this is taken care of.
I write a note to decorate the table with candle and flowers, they called me 2 times that we don’t have flowers i said ok please put candles and when my friend arrived there they provide simple table and said they don’t have candle and I ordered a cake with note and they didn’t give any cake or pastries on their special occasion that I ordered, very disappointed I canceled my previous booking just because they don’t have cake and this restaurant calls me and said i have cakes and even i called them please don’t forget
Service was good and the Pinot Grigio deliciously chilled. Our appetizers were good too. Tried the Khubani Koftas upon our server’s recommendation. Where were the apricots? Just 4 tiny balls of Besan dough in a creamy sauce. Maybe others like this dish but it was a bad choice for us.
Their Bhuna Gosht & Dhaba Chicken were not as good as our previous visits. Maybe the chef was having an off night? Couple of people in our group were feeling queasy soon after eating.
And the desserts were so disappointing. There was no carrot halwa in the cake. It was mostly cake with a tiny taste of halwa. The gulab jamun cheesecake was so-so but the real disappointment was the Kulfi. For what you’re charging, the portion size should be a bit larger. This Kulfi was a flat disk just a big larger than a Toonie. 👎
The quality of food was very good. Staff was quite nice and friendly. The environment of the restaurant is also very energetic. Overall it was an best experience of dine in. Recommended to others.
Definitely recommend. Great service. Great ambiance. Delicious food.
It was good overall . Just wanted the right sitting for 2 but choices weren’t enough
Great food with exceptional service. Everything was served and explained. Probably best staff in terms of service.
We went to Anokhi for a fine dine and the experience was more than what we expected. We ordered Dal Anokhi, karahi chicken, butter nan, lacha pranth n moong dal halwa. Food was fresh n tasted excellent. Absolutely authentic. Presentation was great. Service was awesome. It’s definitely our favourite place now.
Food is awesome. However the service is very slow. Overall good experience. Definitely recommended 😊
Worst service ever. Waited 1.5hr and left with no food.. Hated the experience and will never recommend any
Service was very bad waited 45 minutes for dessert and 15 minutes for wine
Poor service on valentines . No kids menu . Forcing us to just have their personal menu.
We 10 people had a booking for 9:30 , got table at 10:20 , got snacks at 11 pm , dinner was served to only 4people at 12:05 am and that too was cold , no one picked up the empty dishes , we left hungry from there at 12:20am ,
There was a group of people sitting next us , they came at 11:30 and they were served very well , to me seems like they were owner’s family, but the guests were treated very badly
In short our valentine day of 5 couples were ruined
Went on Valentine's Day and it was a fixed menu. Food wasn't worth the price. It was a bad evening
Anokhi has always been a restaurant that fits the phrase - overpromise and underdeliver. Ambience of the restaurant is top notch and the food is a little over average, but the problem is with the staff and management. They call themselves fine dining and operate like a dhaba (roadside eatery), customer service is horrible, servers are substandard (mostly students that don’t understand English that well but will still converse in English even with Indian patrons). Anyhow, I would suggest readers to dine at other places like Avani & The Maharaja, they at least live up to fine dining tag and have decent customer service. My comments are not based off a one off experience, I’ve been here multiple times, each time a bad taste is left in the mouth and I’ve always come back thinking maybe this time service will be better but how wrong have I been.
Food was amazing but service was decent. Waited 10 minutes to get the menu’s but once we got the menu’s everything else was nice.
Pretty good try for one time. Food was really nice. Lamp chops is a must try. Nalli Roganjosh was out of the world and is a very good combo with keema rotti.
Must try fine dine restaurant awsome food quality
Compared the price of food, the quantity was less. The service was slow. I guess due to short staff. Paneer tikka was good but it came cold. Hare bhare kababs were good. Main course was good as well.
Among the best North Indian restaurants we've eaten in in Canada. Excellent food and service, light music at an acceptable volume, beautiful interiors. Highly recommended, would return.
It was the second time i went in and really liked almost everything and appreciated the high quality but the most unprofessional thing was the server letting us know after we had the appetizers that we have to order fast becuase there is another reservation which makes it look unfair, low standard and cheap of the restaurant to force the customers to eat fast and order fast and then leave..No matter how great the food was and ambience but behaving like this especially on new year’s eve when i had already made my reservation was completely deplorable.
Excellent food and service !!! We will definitely go there again
The food was delicious but i think it would be much appropriate if they could do something about the flies as that was the only annoying thing which was spoiling the mood and frustrating while eating.Overall it was a great experience.
Really poor service, manager scared to come and talk
Great food and service
Best Indian restaurant with high standards in brampton... great services... and the food is just soo good... one should definitely give it a try
Delicious food, going again and again, completely different test than others.
Ordered paneer tika masala tastes like eating paneer with only tomato purée
Great meal. Loved that they started with an amuse bouche and helped us decide on what to order from their extensive menu. Delicious curries...I liked the Lamb vindaloo the most and my in-laws had a wonderful time celebrating their birthday here.
The food was absolutely delicious, the service was nice, and they had a really nice touch in having a live guitar player. We were able to have a really nice conversation with some beautiful ambient music.
Great food and service
Nice spot but probably will not go back. Food was mediocre unfortunately.
Wonderful experience. Loved the food. Enjoyed live music in patio. Amazing hospitality.
Very nice food and service.sunny done great job and friendly atmosphere
Went for a family birthday on a Thursday evening and it was a great experience. Heavy cutlery, diffused lighting and bold murals set the stage for a classy Indian dining experience.
The Paneer used in our appetizer was very tender, juicy and the presentation was unique. The entrees were a bit creamy but that was more because of the mild choices we made. The chef did a great job. The naans were the right kind of crisp you need to enjoy the curries.
While the servers were great and mostly on the ball, they were held back from quicker response as only one head server could take orders from all the tables. That caused some avoidable delays.
Overall a great experience.
