   Steaks were quite tough (bone in NY strip and filet mignon) even though cooked medium rare, was just not good quality meat. Also they did not appear to be seasoned, and were flavorless. Sides (au gratin potatoes and asparagus) were good however. Waitress did not seem to want to be there at all. Was recommended by a friend who lived in Omaha a few years ago, and we were really disappointed in the quality of a fairly expensive meal.

   It wasn't the quality of food or service that we expected (but our recent visit to Sullivan's may cloud that). But the steaks were average, the service from the hostess to the server was poor, our bill was wrong...since they're closing, skip it.

    We had a great time with our friends, however it was bittersweet. We were one of many that had our wedding reception here (in 2017). We had compliments on the food and location for a very long time. We are glad that we were able to get in one last time.

    Anthony’s prices are much higher than most other steak houses in Omaha, and you would expect a quality of food to be representative. My steak was under seasoned, though it was properly cooked and the size that I ordered, I’ve had much better flavored steaks at many other places in the area. To the amount of money that I’m spending it, I would expected a better steak. Also, service was slow, although that is probably because of short staff. All that said, it’s unfortunate that Anthony’s is closing, because it was a great place to have dinner, special events, and go to see a band.

    I ordered the Prime Rib it came out very fast, which I was surprised. It usually takes a little bit longer to come out but when I got my food, it was cold! I also noticed when I was cutting the meat, the meat was sticking to my knife. I have never had that happen in my life! My husband's steak was cooked medium but he had to keep chewing and chewing. The drinks were so over poured I couldn't drink mine! I am not sure why but we were sat on the bar side, no band was playing, not sure if its because they are closing but it was a Saturday night and it was dead. The wall we sat next to was dirty and had paint missing. I felt like I was at a hole in the wall bar but paid 5 times the price! We have never been here before but wanted to try it before they closed. I guess all I can say is at least we tried it...

    From the moment we walked in after being ignored for a few minutes even after having a reservation we should have taken that as an omen. The food was not worth the price we paid. I would have rather cooked it myself. In fact after 1 bite we boxed our food up took it home seasoned it and cooked our steaks a little longer. The best thing about my dinner was the dinner roll and butter…that’s not saying much. Wanted to support before they closed but if this is how their food and service has been no wonder why they are closing. Anniversary dinner do over is definitely in the works.

    My filet could not have been better. My husband’s salmon was larger than portions elsewhere. Soups which were part of the dinner were marvelous on a very cold day. Italian sausage soup had the option of various spiciness which was a welcome choice. Cream of asparagus soup was great for vegetarians.

    I’m sad to lose an Omaha favorite & excellent choice for steak & cocktails. We ordered prime rib & ribeye and shared, which I appreciate because I can never choose which cut I prefer. We drank an Uncle Nearest 1884 Manhattan (okay two) and a house margarita, both made perfectly, our salads were Caesar and wedge (Thunderbird is also an option). If you have time to get there before they close, go for the ribeye & the wedge. While the prime rib is very good, the ribeye is stellar, rich and flavorful with a perfect char-crust. We finished with the classic & delicious crème brûlée which is just the right size for two near-full tummies (we both boxed half our steaks & sides). Service was as expected with a full house and light staff. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and checked on us frequently. Wishing all the best to the owners in retirement & the staff in finding new employment. We’ll miss this place!

    We have been going here for over 30 years. We won’t be returning. The food was room temperature and lacked taste flavor. For what they charge for a meal I expected so much more. We happened to go to charleys a couple days later as their food was so much better and cost less. So disappointed in Anthony’s quality and value.

    Six of us got together for our monthly gathering. We try various places, and Anthony’s was our choice this month. We were seated when we got there although we were a bit early. Our waitress was extremely competent and pleasant. The food was very good.

    It has been a while since I last had dinner at Anthony's. Our 4 attendee's 3 had steaks and 1 had salmon. The steaks were juicy and very good, the salmon seemed a little dry, maybe over cooked. The vegetables were not very good so I should have had the pasta side or something else. I like Anthonys and probably will go back but the prices do not match the value.
