Service was excellent I had the fish cakes and the pork. The pork tenderloin was excellent, the pork belly was too fatty. The scallop appetizer was quite small & a bit rubbery, the salmon was excellent. The feature dessert was quite good.
The food is exceptional here with lovely presentation and a great view. This time we found the food a little salty and the waiting time between courses excessive. They were busy but not crazy so I am not sure why the service was so slow. The soup and bread is my favourite part of the meal and I am not a bread lover. Excellent choice and we will be back.
Wonderful atmosphere. Sunday evening was a little quieter, beautiful view of Kingston harbour and historic sites. We were welcomed quickly and staff paced everything very well. Food was excellent with good selections, enjoyed beer selections. We would return for a special occasion event.
This was our visit time at AquaTerra and I must say everything was fantastic from the amuse bouche to the final bite of desert! We will definitely be going back!
Great experience. Moraccan chicken was a touch dry. Pork dish was amazing.
Aqua Terra was excellent in every way. The food was so good I would have had more if I had room! The drink menu was very good as well, lots of different cocktails to choose from. Our waiter was very good and was always right there if we needed anything. We had a window with a view of the water which in the summer months would’ve beautiful. I would definitely go there again if we are ever back in Kingston.
Excellent service and food
Exceptional service, relaxing atmosphere and good food! Desserts are delicious!!
We went to this restaurant in the late Spring and had a great experience. This time, however, it was a tad disappointing. The food was a little overcooked and presented warm. It didn't seem to have been freshly cooked. We also had the misfortune of being seated at a table which had a bench seat. We found this seating to be very uncomfortable ... no real back support. The waitress and staff were excellent but I'll think twice about returning . After spending more than $200 for three people, I wasn't impressed this time around.
Our meals at Saturday brunch were very good. It did seem a rather long wait for food to arrive, but we were not in a rush. It seemed a bit strange that bread was provided only moments before the food arrived. As always, great waterfront views.
The food was delicious and our server was attentive to just the right degree. We were there for an early reservation (5:15 PM) and it was very quiet. The noise level rose as the evening progressed, but it was still easy to have a conversation.
Excellent food! Loved every bit! Great service!!!!!!!!!
We enjoyed our brunch very much. Good food, good setting, excellent service. We'll come again.
Nice view. Pleasant service. Average Cesare salad.
Seafood ravioli was so heavily salted it was almost inedible. Whatever fish was inside the pasta was rather old- frozen- oily .
We were on vacation in Kingston and staying in this hotel - our first night's dinner was in Aqua Terra and it was a real treat - beautiful views of the harbor and marina - an outstanding server and excellent food - I had the blackened salmon which was absolutely terrific and my husband had the Cioppino, which was also terrific. We ate in the Vu Lounge in the hotel other nights where we could take advantaged of a lighter menu or the menu from Aqua Terra, which made for a great experience. I would highly recommend both places in the hotel
Always wonderful service and amazing food. Had to wait a little bit even though we made a reservation. We understand that some people just take a while to finish. But it was definitely worth the wait. Ordered from prix fixe menu and had the scallops, buttermilk fried chicken and the dessert. Husband had salmon ceviche, bavette and dessert. All delicious and very generously portioned mains. This is one of our absolute favourite restaurants in Kingston. You will not be disappointed.
I booked this restaurant based on the both google and opentable ratings plus the fact that we were staying at the Delta. The food was hit and miss - my husband's beet salad was okay, my onion soup was oily with bread that couldn't be cut without removing from the bowl; my steak was quite good and much better than my husband's beef tenderloin. Dessert, whipped peanut butter cheesecake and chocolate hazelnut gateau, were both excellent.
Service was also not the best. Our waiter, while friendly and helpful, seemed overwhelmed with the number of tables (it was quite busy). At this level of restaurant, I expect that we wouldn't have to top up our wine glasses ourselves.
With so many excellent restaurants nearby, I would say go elsewhere unless there's reason to not venture outside. Or perhaps just have dessert.
Great ambiance. They celebrated our anniversary in a very special and unique way! We were both very impressed for a first visit!!
A very nice meal at this convenient, upmarket restaurant within the Delta by Marriott. Service was good, we had a nice table by the window. It wasn’t cheap, but neither was it overpriced.
Had a wonderful time food was amazing as was the service
Wonderful, fabulous, memorable menu. Fabulous service.
Good lunch menu at reasonable prices. Service was friendly but a little slow.
Great views, food and staff
We've been there before and the food was better. This time it was waste of money, the food for the cost was less than average the chicken was very salty, the halibut was not anything special, the portions are so small for the price.
Not coming back for sure.
Sercice was great though our waitress was very accomodating, this has nothing to do with her.
This was the second time we had the pleasure dining at this wonderful restaurant. We arrived early to enjoy some drinks before dinner in the lounge. Excellent service was provided by a very well informed young gentleman. We then went to have dinner where we experienced a wonderful evening of great hospitality and food prepared exactly the way we prefer. We were treated as a person and not as a customer. We will most definitely return next year for another great dinner. From start to finish it was excellent.
Perfect setting to enjoy your food. Staff and food were great!
We chose Aqua Terra based on the reviews we read and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the presentation was a visual delight, and the service was very good. Dinner there was one of the highlights our visit to Kingston. We definitely recommend dining there if you consider yourself a lover of fine cuisine.
Staff were friendly and attentive. Meal was fabulous.
The menu did not however match what was displayed on Open Table.
One of my favourite restaurants!
it was my first visit with my daughter and friend visiting from out of town. It was one of the most pleasant experiences we have had the pleasure to enjoy. we will definitely be return guests. Chantal our server was dynamite and her recommendations for the wine was excellent. All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
The food was quite upscale and pleasing to the tastebuds and our server James was very professional and attentive. The restaurant was full so a little lively in terms of noise.
Very nice atmosphere.
Very good service and excellent food!
Excellent service. The prix fixe menu was delicious and a great value. Nice view of the harbor
Great place for dinner for 2 or a family. Server was good and attentive. Food was very good. No complaints
Cannot have enough to say about the best restaurant in Kingston! That's a big statement, even bigger.... The best in Ontario for my taste pallet! Obviously amazing food... Hands down the best staff, so knowledgeable and very attentive. Can't find better!
We went for lunch and had a short window. So we checked out sat. lunch menu prior to our arriving as well one of us had diet restrictions, to save time. The lunch menu is no longer and only a small brunch menu that was mostly eggs. So at 2 we were over eating eggs. It was good but not what we were hoping for. So maybe change your web site.
Nice restaurant, ambience not outstanding. Food very good, service a bit slow. Overall, with visiting for view and good food.
A lovely setting overlooking the gently rocking boats moored in Confederation Basin on the St. Lawrence River. Delicious and beautifully prepared courses to tempt your palate...wonderfullly flavored and presented in style. Terrific service from Sue and Cam made the evening extra special. A well thought out and plentiful wine list with a reasonable price range as well as specialty cocktails can tempt you even more! We will be back for sure!
The service was outstanding, the meal delicious and the portions very correct. Highly recommendable
We went as part of a bachelorette party, and our waitress really went out of her way to make sure we had a good time and enjoyed our meal. The food was good, serving sizes were good, overall nice restaurant and really great service!
