Kingston's choice for waterfront dining, AquaTerra offers picturesque waterfront views and a menu that focuses on the freshest, and whenever possible, locally sourced ingredients. Mentioned in "Where to Eat in Canada" for over a decade and recommended by HuffPost Canada Living, AquaTerra offers Sunday Brunch, an extensive wine list and private and semi-private dining options for groups large and small. Take a seat at the Lobby Bar or in The Vu lounge and enjoy a drink, small plate and live entertainment (select days) before or after your meal.
Brunch was excellent. A great selection of classics plus interesting dishes like Shakshuka with a lentil base (which I had and would definitely recommend).
We have never had a bad experience here. In fact it's my favourite restaurant to go to, ever.
Temperature of the food is always perfect, the staff always gauges our pace and knows what we need just before we ask, and the place is always so clean.
There isn't a bad table in the house, although I always prefer a window seat since I'm a huge fan of the river views.
Every other meal has been exceptional, so will assume this time was an aberration. Food was just okay; dessert was awful.
Variable service, for instance, multiple requests for water refills ignored & slow dinner service. Some dinner items great with others substandard especially sides. Scallop appetizer very good, salmon & Duck entrees good but side for duck horrible with very bitter greens with bitter dressing & could hardly find the sugar snap peas. Green salad ordered ahead had similarly extremely bitter dressing. Both of these inedible.
Nice view. Interesting recipes but not all are good. Service was very mediocre
I love the location and the service is always great. They should really try to step it up with the food though as it is mediocre at best and not good value or what one would expect at the Delta.
Amazing dining experience. The food is stellar and the house made sparking water is a must!
The 4 star is because we found a glass of wine at $19 was a tad steep; get a bottle like we did.
In my many years of dining at Aqua Terra, this was my first disappointment. Besides my Ceasar salad the meals weren't enjoyable. The lobster in the pasta was rubbery and the sauce flavorless The duck leg was the same. Items that I've enjoyed over the years that kept me returning are no longer on the menu. The pork belly, duck breast, braised beef.
Food quality is not good. I ordered a dish with avocado, and they are all with ugly big black spots. Complained to the server, they just take them off the plate and returned back. Also the tea pot is dusty on the lid.
The pasta was under seas
It would have been better for me if your menu was 'Keto Friendly.' I ordered a Beef Kebob expecting steak not ground beef. There are no substitutions, potato chips and bread products and not included in a Ketogenic Lifestyle.
The food tasted good but for me the dinner menu is more suiting.
I will come back but not for lunch.
Surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. Our waitress was amazing and the view over the water was very nice. My wife had a mushroom Bolognese that was just ok. My chicken was very good and my daughter had Salmon that was amazing. The deserts were very good as well. It was a very nice birthday dinner for us.
Celebrated my wife’s birthday
Great service and food.
Great dinner, service and environment... Great first-time visit. Hope to be back soon!
A lovely restaurant for a get together of old friends and celebrations. Great views and even better eats.
Our dining experience was fabulous. Service top-notch and our meal exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this establishment!
The menu is very poor
Nothing to mention
Service very Warm And friendly
Amazing staff ! Especially front desk and introduction service!
Anniversary. Food was outstanding, little noisy, would’ve been nice to have had been seated somewhere quieter.
Amazing service and food
The menu had been changed to a very brief brunch offering or breakfast. This at 1:30pm. Their excuse was that it was a holiday, despite the masses of tourists, and citizens in the area, likely one of the busiest days of the year.
Despite few people in the dining room we waited over fifteen minutes to be acknowledged. After ordering cocktails we again waited close to 20 minutes, still no sign of them and we left.
The service was atrocious, the offerings dismal, and there was no mention of these changes on their website.
All in all and absolute disaster!
Very good table, excellent service, we really enjoyed our evening!
From the Amuse-bouche to my pan seared shrimp to my chocolate pave, it was flavor on top of flavor...excellent meal start to finish! Would recommend and go back in minute...and a special thanks to our awesome server James🤗and our friend with her broken wing💕
Nice view of the lake. Service and food very good.
Always enjoy our visits to AquaTerra.
Even though it was brunch weekend (I was hoping for the fabulous soup and bread starter that I always have) we were still able to find tasty selections for all 3 of us, everyone liked what they got, and compared it favourably to a disappointing brunch the day before in Wellington. We have never had a bad meal here, yes the prices are a touch steep but you get what you pay for frankly. We will be back!
The service was awful. The food was good but nothing special.
It was a great view of the harbor from our table of 4. The ambience and the service were very good. The food was nicely presented; however, the lobster fettucine lacked the presence of much lobster. This was disappointing as it was not worth what we paid. Would we come back? Yes and would hope for a menu with more variety which gives more value.
Fantastic food and a wonderful waterfront view. The service was fantastic, very attentive.
Overall great visit. Not very noisy so can have a conversation without yelling. Good food. Reasonably priced for a restaurant in a hotel. Good brunch selection.
Spectacular. From Karen(A+++++ hostess) greeting me at the front to the amazing server, Ethan whom welcomed me by name as he handed over a menu. Food was slow, but was also peak rush hour for all breakfast orders and a few large families were in attendance. Overall a good and welcoming experience. Daniel
Great location overlooking Confederation basin and Lake Ontario. Very attentive and professional service. Food was as usual excellent. They do a great job.
Surprised that my OPENTABLE confirmation number did not show up in their booking calendar. They were kind enough to take our word for it. Not sure I am comfortable using the app again.
we wanted to celebrate a birthday and they forgot, when the dessert arrived after a long time, the candles and eveything.
they apologized for the wait by giving us the desserts for free, but no mention of the candles. When we asked the waitress why no candles came, she just said that they couldn't be put in the type of cake that we chose. She wasn't going to mention the candles by herself, we had to ask her, and she acted as if it didn't matter, but we went to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday!!
Superb restaurant. The quality of food and presentation is second to none. Our server, Sean, was excellent. It was a special occasion and the right choice. Thank you
The server forgot about my reservation. He told me to go to the bar for a bit so he can prepare my table but ended up forgetting about me. Then, a couple came in and they were seated first and was given a nicer table than me. I was seated near a group of very loud people. Forgetting things here and there is fine if it is busy however, when I went there it was not busy at all.
Great service for booking, server very good. Meal excellant. Yet diiffernt and tastey . Restauant faciloty above & beyond - terrific.
Great meal! Was treated well for my birthday dinner and the meals were fantastic. Would definitely recommend!
As we were staying at the Delta, the Aqua Terra restaurant was great for breakfast.
