Take a seat at the Lobby Bar or in The Vu lounge and enjoy a drink, small plate and live entertainment (select days) before or after your meal.
Excellent view. Foodies will enjoy this find. A+ overall experience in Kingston Ontario.
Mother’s Day dinner. Had the full meal for special price. Scallops appetizer melted in your mouth. Pavlova dessert one of the best we have ever had. Server there just when we needed her and hostess always checked that things were going well.
Very poor service. Food was below par for 2 of the meals. The other 2 was good. Had to wait too long even to get water refilled. Even after spending 2 hours for dinner server did not come around to give us the dessert menu. One of the meals included dessert but had to leave without. Cannot wait another hour for that. For $50 per dinner I expected a better experience. I will never go back to this place.
I had booked a reservation and hoped asked for a nice table as I was surprising my hisband. When we walked in there did not seem to be a table prepared for us? I think we were 5 mins early? We were told were could sit at this t,able or that table.. Would have been nice to sit by the window like I asked. the food was really good but cold. my soup was luke warm and husbands lobster tail and dick egg were cold, my halibut was delicious and hot but the veg were warm, the sauce was very cold. Maybe it was supposed to be did not leave me wanting it. On the other hand my husbands veg were very hot and his steak cold. They accidently over charged me 40 dollars but went through great lengths to contact me to correct it which I appreciate! Overall it was an interesting evening. very loud place though. I would try it again as the food was very promising if they can just get the temp right. Server was great, very kind and helpful!
We were there for brunch. Interesting menu. High quality ingredients. Had reserved and received excellent table with harbour view. Very solicitous efficient service.
I have been going to AquaTerra for years but this is my first time since they renovated their space. I went for brunch and had the Classic Eggs Benedict. It tasted exactly as it should; creamy poached eggs, real Canadian bacon, tangy and smooth Hollandaise sauce with perfectly cooked home fries. My mom had the Aqua Eggs Benedict which was potato latkes and smoked salmon, she said the flavours were wonderful.
The service was friendly, attentive and very polite.
We sat at a great table with an exceptional view of the waterfront. The table was great and tucked away however the only draw back to the meal was have to sit next to a very loud, obnoxious family. Not the restaurant's fault but if I am rating the overall experience, that was the only downside.
I truly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Kingston area for an excellent meal, with a great view and phenomenal service!
Favourite place for special occasions. Great food and service!!
Staff and service were excellent as was the food and wine. Setting on the harbour is picturesque. Highly recommended.
Hostess, waitress and cook. Excellent!!!
The burger was the best ever!!! My husband really enjoyed his steak and Frits 😊Will return.
The food is always very good. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. We generally attend a couple time during the winter for dinner and at least a couple of times in the nicer weather for brunch/lunch. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
Requested a window table but we arrived early and were seated in a very noisy back room and when I complained I was to,d nothing available, but once seated many tables became available within a short period. The two young gentlemen greeting guests could have done a better job accommodating the request. The small room was so noisy my guest and I could not hear each other across the table. The server was fantastic! Food was great as usual which is why we always choose this location.
Seafood pasta was disappointing, not what I expected. Too much of peanuts flavour, very little of actual pasta and some seafood (only shrimps)..
Great service, excellent food, and a gorgeous view!
The table we were given was excellent. We were seated by the window with a view of the water’s edge and the historic sites n clear view. The service was first class. However, the mild Virgin Mary served to one of the guests was very spicy, and the medium rare steak was medium at best. At times the heavy saces overwhelmed the food they covered, especially the sauce that drowned the mushrooms and escargots. The pasta was just al dente and a little tough at the edges.
We were offered a free dessert to take home which we very much enjoyed. Thanks to a very fine waiter!
Staff and service were excellent. Our waiter was attentive and personable. The seating was excellent as we were overlooking the waterfront. The only slight negative was that the main course food was very salty. However, the cuisine was top notch. A most enjoyable evening.
I used to believe that a good meal required bacon. I can tell you and my past self I was wrong! This was easily the best meal I have had at a restaurant. The atmosphere, food, and staff are all fantastic.
A specific thanks to our server Emily who made our first visit even better when her suggestions and exceptional service.
If you're looking to drop some well earned money on a meal, look on feather.
The best restaurant in Kingston, you absolutely can’t beat the food.
I had a late birthday dinner with my husband here. Two years in a row and I can see this being a tradition :) Great location, food, and service! So happy
It was my husband’s birthday. As always at AquaTerra, we had a great meal and excellent service. It is our favorite restaurant in Kingston but we tend to go there only on special occasions, because it’s a bit expensive for our budget. We highly recommend it.
Our daughter and son in law recommended this place to us. We usually eat at the Amadeus resturant but didn't realize they were closed for Easter. We really enjoyed our dinner with a gorgeous view and an amazing server. Food was delicious! Thanks so much!
Love the view on the harbor front! The setting provides a pleasant ambiance for conversation.
Great restaurant for dinner. This is certainly a fine dining restaurant, not just a typical hotel restaurant. Fantastic view of the lake. Service was great...friendly servers and great balance of attentiveness and dining privacy. Food was also very tasty and certainly lives up to fine dining standards. Loved the sous vide pork belly and the "pot roast", which was braised beef cheek. Will definitely dine at Aqua Terra when I'm in Kingston again.
One of our favourites in Kingston; one meal was delayed so it was removed from the bill without us even asking; food always excellent; service, too.
Great lakeside seating, quiet ambiance and delicious fresh food make this a favoured place for a business breakfast or lunch. The setting is spacious, staff courteous and it's not so busy that you feel you need to rush the conversation.
Overall all food items were overly salty. Nice bread and amuse Bouche, complimentary. Great and knowledgeable server.
The lamb (was a special) was amazing. Great spot to ear and close to the downtown core.
My husband and I had some extra travel points and we thought it might be fun to have dinner and stay at the Delta even though we live 15 minutes away. We enjoyed a cocktail before our diinner reservation at Aqua Terra. The view from the lounge was appreciated. Dinner was even more memorable with the best Rack of Lamb I have ever expirenced. My husband enjoyed his perfectly cooked Ribeye. Vegetables cooked just past crisp, just the way we like them. We topped the dinner off sharing a chocolate bread pudding. The accommodations were great. To our surprise we were upgraded to a king size bed. Very comfortable. Finished our visit with a breakfast of French toast and the Aqua Terra Eggs Benidic. Thanks for making a great Friday out. Mary and Blair.
My husband and I often visit Kingston for a romantic getaway. We usually go to Greco's for supper and never disappointed but decided this time to go to Aqua Terra as it was close to The Frontenac Club, where we enjoy staying. We were greeted by a friendly server and were seated by the window. I ordered soup and pot roast . My husband ordered steak. While waiting, we were served a basket of fresh bread. Unfortunately, the appetisers of bland bread and chewy tuna did not appeal to me. However, my mulligatawny soup was delicious. We waited quite a while for our main dish. The pot roast was black and dry and looked like an old shoe. The mashed carrots were good but cool. The meat was so over cooked and dry, I couldn't eat it. My husband's steak was also just as unappetising, dry and tough. We didn't finish our overpriced meals and asked to take my dessert with us. I took one bite of the 'almond tart' and threw it in
the bin, it also was dry and tasteless. Needless, to say we were totally disappointed and will not return.
Rib eye steak was very chewy and very difficult to eat. Striploin steak on special was also not as I presumed it would be quality wise. Was not impressed by the quality of the steaks at all, especially considering the price. I would not recommend this restaurant based on this sole experience.
Insanely delicious food and great atmosphere. Also love that there are vegan options on the menu. Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had a great time and it was worth every penny. Service was excellent - waitress was attentive and helped us with our wine selection.
Everything was perfect, great experience
Me: Steak tartare was good but I wasn't sold on the marrow bone included. Agnolotti had wonderful flavours but was oddly watery.
She who must be obeyed (and loved): Loved the scallops, highly recommended. Braised Wallace beef cheek was amazing, so tender.
Good wine list, lots of choices, including glass, half- and full bottle.
Always amazing food and the best steak in town. The servers are as exceptional as the food. Highly recommend!
My wife and I had a lovely lunch. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and loved the food. Our service was unbeatable - everything was perfect.
Booked table over One month in advance didn’t get seated until 55 mines after our booking, waited 20 mins at the bar before anyone even asked if we wanted anything, after 40 mins we were offered a free appetizer on the house, which was nice but hardly made up for our inconvenience of eating 55 minutes later than we wished to.
We would go back but not if we wanted to eat at a reasonable time compared to our booking, luckily we didn’t have further plans for the night as they would surely have been ruined.
Had diner here Sat evening it was my second time there in 3 months. Once again the food was fantastic and the service exceptional. Very convenient free validated parking in the hotel's underground parking lot . The wine list is extensive and runs from inexpensive all the way up to "don't tell my wife'. My sole criticism about this place is that it is very noisy. I will go back.
Very disappointed in the food breakfast menu I️ had eggs Benedict food was cold not very tasty back bacon not cook home fries good and cappuccino good
Consistently good food. Menu always updated with new and interesting dishes. Service is the best around - personal, great attention to detail. You never feel rushed.
Beautiful presentation of dishes.
Server was very knowledgeable.
Nice quiet atmosphere. Great for conversation.
Delicious food and great service. Will definitely be returning and will recommend.
