Good experience. Was misquoted price of meat of day and charged for wine that was out of stock. However waiter was very apologetic and adjusted the bill. overall food was excellent and birthday celebration went well.
Amazing! The food was excellent and the service was super
This was the worst dining experience I have had in 10+ years. Service was terrible. They do not honour your reservation time. We arrived 5 minutes early for our 8:30 reservation and were promptly ignored for 30 minutes while 3 tables for 4 sat empty. Once seated we were then ignored for another 30 minutes. For a dinner that cost nearly $100 a person the experience was awful. The only thing worse than the service was the rude and unapologetic owner who couldn’t seem to care less about his customer’s experience. You will have a better time at Terroni and spend half the money.
Good food, but bad service. The second he handed us the reciept from the machine after we paid we were kicked out of the restaurant because they needed our table..... wouldn’t go again.
Pasta, pizza or one of the mains, you can't go wrong.
Try it all, but I highly recommend either the octopus or carpaccio as a starter. Pasta and fish specials for a main. Cocktails are refreshing and wine list has something for most.
One of the wait staff is sub par. And we are always in that section
This is my 6th time at the restaurant and I took two clients who were very impressed with the overall atmosphere and the mentioned that the food was the best Italian the they’ve had in Toronto. My guest already had an up coming dinner and he is taking his guests to ARDON
Authentic Sicilian. Their olive oil is very special but you do have to love extra virgin olive oil to appreciate. Pizzas are in the long flatbread shape; crust and sauce are both very good. Can’t go wrong there.
Their pastas are excellent. We’ve tried their anchovies pasta and their Pasta with sausage.
Wine list is not huge but it has good selections.
It’s a small restaurant so reservations are highly recommended.
Great meal, wine and excellent service. Will definitely go back and recommend to my friends.
We've gone to Ardo many times and it never disappoints. The staff are exceptionally accommodating and pleasant.
very cool and hip decor; with excellent service and delicious food. what a neat little place and a real find. everything was delicious and the ambiance was energetic and even chic. I didn't like having to pay for the bread before the meal, though it was something that the waiter asked if we wanted, so I could have guessed it would be charged for. nevertheless, the food and cappuccino were excellent and service was great. I'd definitely go back.
My new favorite Italian restaurant in Toronto! The food was authentic and absolutely delicious. We started with their homemade organic sourdough bread and a salad and we then split a pasta dish and a flatbread. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was perfect for a special Friday night dinner. We will be back!
Lovely cosy restaurant with delicious food and service. A great addition to the area.
Best place we ate on our 6 night stay in toronto
Thanks Roberto and company for a wonderful meal. Only our second visit but we will be back for another amazing dinner and some more olive oil!
It the best Italian restaurant for dinner . The service was excellent . Cannot wait to go again
For our girls night out we enjoyed the duck ragu x2 and gnocchi. All homemade pasta that really showed its amazing quality and freshness. We split the chef's special white pizza which was AMAZING! Happy to go back anytime because the prices were totally deserved if not a steal.
Great variety of options for any appetite. Food is amazing!
The patrons tend to be older here, like this is where you bring your parents for a fancy dinner, so I wasn't really dressed appropriately. Great pasta though. Bread was good although more bread would have been better (you have to buy it). Wish the list of wines by glass were more extensive... they had a good bottle list but we weren't buying bottles.
My favourite Italian, the food, the service, the ambiance . Incredible
Beyond the beautifully executed homemade pastas and pizzas, Ardo is a must for those who love authentic and unpretentious Sicilian food. Be prepared for true Italian hospitality. The wait staff is attentive without being overbearing and you'll see Chef Rob visit most tables over the course of the night. Reservations required... don't miss out.
Whenever we are In Toronto we make a point of dining at Ardo. As always the anchovies and the pulpo were delicious. And the gnocchi were outstanding. Another fine evening of wining and dining. Thank you Roberto.
Food was outstanding. Service was not. First course utensils were put on our side plates and reused for the main, server tried to remove guest plates before we were all finished eating the course, water was not refilled without asking, and we had to wait too long for the cheque which was uncomfortable because second seating guests were waiting. We shall certainly return.
Food is authentic Sicilian, creative, and delicious.
Wow. Fabulous food. Great service. What a new found gem in TO.
Wished the fish baked in salt could be a regular item on the menu!
Wonderful, I will be back with a date!!! The server was super cute and friendly and the food was delis!
Ardo is one of the best restaurant on King Street. The food is outstanding!!!
We haven eaten here several times.
On this occasion, it was my wife’s birthday.
Once again, we were not disappointed.
The food and service was stellar.
Looking forward to our next visit.
Great food and great service. Truly a gem! The service is great and the quality of food is excellent! Haven't had a bad meal here yet - and the portions are just right.
The barley lobster risotto with clams was excellent. Always enjoy the bread and fabulous olive oil.
Food, wine and service were all excellent. One item we ordered was not available as they were in the process of changing the menu so they comp’d a martini, which was not necessary at all but an indication of how they try to please customers.
We loved every minute! Fabulous ambiance and food. We felt very welcomed and the service was friendly and attentive.
The fresh homemade pasta with cod was absolutely amazing - the best thing next to being in Italy!!
It is always a great experience to dine at Ardo.
This time I brought another two couples (Italians) of friends
The staff and the chef/owner have been very welcoming and put everyone at ease, even the 4 kids who were with us.
Food and wine was excellent!
Everybody was very satisfied from the experience (and my friends are not easy when it comes to judge Italian food.
Definitely recommend Ardo.
Excellent flavours, fantastic service and talented young chef. Servings could be a tad larger. A wonderful gem!
Only disappointment was the salad i ordered as it wasn’t nearly as interesting as the description- in fact i think ingredients were missing.
Calamari special my friend had was very salty.
Starters, dessert and cocktails were great.
My second time at Ardo and it was even better than the first. First rate Sicilian/ Italian cuisine from a fine chef, Roberto, and his kitchen. Of special note was the Perlina eggplant appetizer and my truffle pasta special of the day.
Food very good . Crowded but not surprising. Knowledgeable wait staff.
