Good food but the prices are very high for what is offered. I wouldn't say the mains were super memorable given their high prices. The eggplant toast and the oysters were both incredible! The restaurant was very tightly packed full and EXTREMELY loud, honestly sounded like I was at a loud and busy pub which was unexpected given the pricepoint here.

Nice discovery for us after hearing about Arlo from several friends. We ate inside but I look forward to eating outside in the future, the space looks lovely. Nice short and well designed menu, great wine list, especially for full bottles. It gives the feeling of a restaurant that dares to be what it wants to be, with a unique style, fun Arlo plates and glasses, creative yet unfussy food, and good portions. The duck brochettes were especially good! And the service was professional and friendly, well done!

the strawberry appetizer was a little underwhelming however the steaks (vegetarian and beef onions) entrees were incredibly flavourful and delicious. the staff was attentive , courteous and kind. our server went out of his way to ensure that our daughter's birthday was noted and celebrated. thank you so much

Arlo has become one of our favourite dining experiences in the city, from the casual atmosphere on the beautiful back patio (the best in the city!), friendly service and exceptional food, we always feel incredibly well served. I also rented the private apartment room last Summer for a 40th birthday party and was absolutely blown away by their skill & ease in creating such a lovely vibe for guests, everything was seamless, delicious and myself and my guests had a great time. Arlo has well earned its spot as a must visit in the city.

Service was extremely slow and really brought down the experience. We didn’t enjoy the strawberry appetizer, which was highly recommended by the server. Mains were good. The experience didn’t live up to the hype at all. Overall one of the worst dinners out I’ve ever had.

One of the best restaurants we've dined at in a very long time. The staff were perfectly welcoming and friendly. Our server had great suggestions and the owner/sommelier recommended an amazing bottle of wine. We will return. You should go. 11/10.

An outstanding evening on all levels. The combination of great food in a laid back atmosphere was perfect. We had heard it could be noisy and opted for the back patio. The 4 of us had no trouble chatting away. For 4 people we shared 4 appetizers and 2 mains followed by 3 deserts. It was the perfect quantity for us. Knowing that Alex is a sommelier with a great rep we asked him to just pair our choices. We really enjoyed the wines and appreciated that they were not crazy expensive. Pricing was about what you would expect for a high end restaurant. We can hardly wait to go back and have already told friends to go!

Wonderful dining experience. Interesting food and drinks menu. The mint & rhubarb lemonade was quite lovely. I had two appetizers as my meal which was quite sufficient. The Arctic Char tartar was amazing and the summer squash salad was also very tasty. The flourless chocolate cake dessert was divine. The service was excellent. Will definitely be going back to this restaurant.

Arlo is really something special. My husband and I have the same birthday so we celebrated together with friends with an unforgettable meal. My favorite bite was the eggplant toast, but the lion's mane steak was a close second. Although the wine list was equisite and plentiful, I had a ton of options as a non drinker. Thank you for an unforgettable night!

Absolutely amazing to eat and wine and chat with Alex about the incredible wine selection. Brought astute wine family members and they were really impressed. Had a funky bio red and we loved it.

Nothing spectacular for thr price point. Thought the Noma apprenticed chef would have more interesting dishes but fairly standard. Would be run of the mill in Montreal. If prices were half what they charge, it could be a smash.

Oysters pretty good. 2 varieties, PEI. Very good homemade hot sauce, fresh horseradish, nice mignonette. Squash/artichoke dish very nice, umami taste. Arctic chat tartare tasty, but a bit fishy, mostly just lacked acidity. Very cozy ambiance, service good not great, perhaps due to busy Friday evening. Very accommodating and kind. Good wine list. Will come back !

Food was excellent however the rhythm and overall experience of the night was impacted by our server. She did not have a deep grasp of the menu or the experience to help pace a dinner. Not sure if this is both the restaurant and the server but the menu presents oysters at two prices $20 and $40. We ordered the $20 - she brought us 20 oysters which we then interpreted as possibly they had priced them for $1 an oyster (we thought was a great bargain!) Unfortunately it cost us $60. This is a huge mistake. She offered to take it off but we were worried she would have to pay so that didn’t sit well with us. We ate them so paid but the mistake was clearly on the side of the restaurant when we ordered. That left a bad taste in our mouth in regards to the experience overall. It’s important to be very clear with the staff when you order oysters. Also it’s quite loud so important to know that based on what you are looking for. The food itself was excellent

Ambience was very good, we loved the space. The food was perfect, well prepared and presented, though the Menu selection is minimal, only 4Mains available to chose from. and the Kitchen closes at 9:30, however the restaurant stays open till midnight; so we had to rush our order before the kitchen closes.

It is no wonderful that Arlo has been named one of Canada's best restaurants in 2023. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service top notch. Our very knowledgeable server, Simon, was of great help in choosing a wine from Arlo's excellent list and in explaining the various menu choices. I will definitely return!

Good ambience and service. However, the food quality was only average and the food was considerably overpriced. The duck breast brochette was undercooked and chewy while the halibut, though properly cooked, was plated on a bed of greens and vegetables swimming in too much butter sauce. A small piece of pound cake with mixed berries was priced at an astonishing $17.00. Not likely to return.
