   It was horrible they were terribly understaffed for Mother’s Day dinner service. Everyone was moving around without a sense of urgency. I had to go find my own menus.

   It wasn’t busy, but we had to get up and ask for menus 3 times. We waited over an hour for food. When the food finally arrived, they had to give us sweet potato fries, and tater tots, and when we told them that we had ordered fries, they just said oh yeah we’re out of fries, so we’re giving everyone sweet potato fries.

   Terrible experience - the restaurant was under prepared for the crowd that they had reserved. Didn't have enough food for a buffet and ran out but we were unaware of this until after we started dishing up our plates of what was left. The people who came in behind us were given the option of ordering off the menu while we were asked to wait 5 minutes (then 5 more minutes and so on) until someone got back with more food. None of the staff seemed to be communicating with each other, it all was very chaotic. Very loud. Tables were over sized for the seating. One of the wait staff was practically running and jumped onto the lower level and startled many people.

   We went for Mothers Day and we made Reservations two weeks in advance. We never got seated and just decided take a table. There were no plates at buffet, food was cold, no one to bring drinks, started serving on pink paper dessert plates, not one person waited on us and we had to go to bar to get sodas for kids, dishes everywhere and they had none of the food available. We paid $25 pp and they offered us a free soda. It was a horrible experience.

   I made a reservation for a party of 6 for 6 pm. When we showed up the kitchen staff was outside and they told us the kitchen was closed until further notice. I thought they were kidding. When we entered the front door we were greeted and shown to our table. There were only two other groups in the restaurant when we we’re seated. We waited about 10 minutes before a waitress brought us water and menus. At that point there was no mention of a kitchen problem. The waitress left and didn’t return for another 5 minutes. When she came back a manager was with her and he said the kitchen was having a problem and that it would take a minimum of 30 minutes to resolve. I understand when problems come up but the kitchen issue was known when we walked in. We should have been told right away there was a problem, not seat us and wait 15 minutes to tell us. We left and had dinner elsewhere.

   Our party of 3 arrived for our reservation and there were two people waiting at the hostess stand in front of us. The hostess finally came over after about 5 min. and seated the two people ahead of us. We waited another 10 min while we watched her visiting with other staff and wondering around. There were several staff members who passed by us as well without acknowledging we were there either. We decided to leave when the hostess made her way past us again without as much as a hello and after waiting over 15 min. past our reservation time.

   Service was a little sporadic and not well coordinated. Food was ok. Roasted Brussel sprouts were really good but a little too oily when I got to the end. Thyme chicken was ok, risotto was good but chicken was a little dry. Server was very nice but missed one of the appetizers we ordered. We probably won't go back. For the money, we've found other restaurants that are better.

   At 8:30 the music was blasted by a DJ and it cleared out the entire restaurant. It was great until then. The service was a little slow, but servers were extremely friendly.

    The food was excellent and served right away. We were eating dinner very late so I’m guessing staff was a little lower and that’s why getting drink refills was sometimes difficult. However, we will be back because the space is so welcoming and the food was really delicious.

    Ambiance is nice. Drink prices are reasonable. Sunday brunch food was just okay, even as far as buffet quality goes. Staff didn’t seem to have any idea what they still needed to wait on us for drinks, silverware, etc. Maybe we were the confused ones?

    We have been to Aspen several times, generally for lunch, so this was only our second dinner visit. I was a little concerned with the line at the door, but we were quickly seated by a wonderfully happy hostess who later became our server. The restaurant was very crowded with two very large celebration groups, and we were seated in a more quiet area just off the main dining room. We both wondered about the timing, but we were greeted by the manager who took our drink order. Shortly after, the "hostess/server" took our order. My Fish and Chips were good and something I have enjoyed there in the past. My wife had the shrimp risotto. Her dish lacked an appealing presentation--basically pretty light brown--but the flavor was very good. I recommend this restaurant but also suggest a reservation.

    The Caesar Salad was average and made with soft iceberg lettuce, a light dressing & some small croutons. It was not a salad I would order again. We had Bang Bang Shrimp & the breading was so thick we had to cut it off. Our waiter was nice & helpful as were the staff that greeted us. It isn’t a place we will return to though.

    We were there an hour and only had one drink because we never got a chance to order another or order dinner as planned. Way too few waitresses, it was way way too loud, and we love live music. Had to leave to go get dinner elsewhere & they charged us incorrectly $77.00 for our two drinks!!! Now we have to deal with getting that corrected. We were hoping to find a fun neighborhood bar but it was a frustrating DISASTER!!!

    The 1 and 2 star ratings are not deserved. Our food was good, the service was good, and the ambiance was great. They had a real nice solo guitar performer and wasn’t overly loud. The 4 instead of 5 stars on food is because the salad came somewhat warm and wilted. Rest of the food was good. Will go again

    First time at this restaurant since it opened in a great venue, which has housed many businesses since changing from its status as a church. Salmon with lobster sauce was outstanding; my date ordered the shrimp cous cous, which was good but not amazing. No bread service, which is disappointing, particularly when you have to wait quite a while for your food. Our server Judon was delightful and tried to keep us updated on our food prep. Apparently a couple of cooks didn't show up that evening and the place was packed. We totally understand there is still a shortage of good help for restaurants so we were pretty patient, but starving by the time we got our meal....bread would have helped :)

    Wonderful service from Joey and Alex. From previous visits during Happy Hour we anticipated food from the full menu would be good but the Filet and Salmon we ordered totally exceeded our expectation. Salmon was cooked to perfection and the steak was buttery tender. Best dinner we have had in a LONG time. We will definitely be back again as we would rate it above even some of the higher priced steak houses we typically go to, Great job Aspens!

    This was our first time at Aspen and we really enjoyed it. We had the Cajun pasta and the shrimp risotto. Both were very good. Our server was super busy, but he did a great job as well.

    This was my first time at Aspen and it was horrible. The cheesy bread app was cold in the center and cheese wasn’t melted. It took nearly 2 hours to get our food. Our sever told us it was on the way but it wasn’t. Then we were told there were new employees - in training and the server blames the kitchen why it was delayed. A person we thought was the manager finally showed up at our table and said they would comp the dinner. When the dinner arrived one entree - the baked chicken was a very small portion of meat. A chicken wing and small thigh. When we left we were stopped by a young lady that asked if we had paid and we said no but left a tip, because we were told by our sever and the man we assumed was the manager it was comp’d. She said she was the manager and didn’t know anything about it. A bigger problem - where had she been all evening? We hadn’t see her at all while we were at our table waiting for most of the time. Wow! She offered a gift card as we left. NO THANKS!!

    Nice choice of items on the menu. Our food arrived quickly and hot. We enjoyed our meals; and our server was attentive and fun. It is worth another visit. The only negative was it was cool in the restaurant. Be sure to dress warmly.

    The appearance is super cute/trendy, they had fun board games for us to play while we waited for our drinks & food and live music. Bang Bang shrimp are huge & delicious, so was the Lobster Club. My only complaint was the waiting...we waited at least 15-20 min before anyone even came to our table, another 10 minutes for water, another 30 min for our actual drinks, another 30 min for our appetizer and then another 30-45 min for our actual meal. They seamed a bit unorganized as they tried to deliver us 2 items that we didn't order. But, I'd give them a 2nd chance :-)

    Terrible experience! I had made a reservation for 7:00 pm on Friday evening. When we arrived to the restaurant, the hostess told us they were running behind about 15 minutes and invited us to take a seat at the bar. We gladly went to the bar for a pre-dinner drink. As we sat there the two bartenders passed back-and-forth in front of us, never acknowledging us until about 15 minutes later, while dirty drinks and napkins from the previous people remained on the bar top in front of us. When we finally placed our drink order we asked the bartender to take our credit card and close out our tab immediately because we expected our table would be ready soon. He did not take our credit card and we waited for our drinks. Another 20 minutes went by and we still had not received our drinks nor had we been told our table was ready. After waiting 45 minutes total without being served anything and not getting a table, we decided to leave. I stopped back at the hostess stand to let her know that we were leaving but she was nowhere in sight. We also experienced the bartender being rude to the customers next to us while we are waiting at the bar. They kindly tried to check on their food order. The bartender told them that wasn’t his job and that they had food runners. So I guess it’s the customers job to track down food runners and ask them about their food order at this restaurant… as my friend and I decided to leave and were putting on our coats, then the bartender finally decided to acknowledge us. I told him, “Sorry, we’ve waited way too long. We’re leaving.” He acted annoyed instead of apologetic.

    We visited for restaurant week, as we’d been wanting to try this spot. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived. But all faces were friendly. They were apologetic as they were a bit behind in getting reservations seated, but within 5 minutes we had a table. The decor is fun and engaging! A bit different than most JoCo restaurants, I loved the deep blue colors and the whimsy! The menu was amazing, three courses for $20! When we were seared, the hostess let us know that we needed to allow about 15-20 minutes for each course. We appreciated that, as usually, places seem to bring courses close together to get the table turned. We both ordered and, bang shrimp for our starter. Presentation was on point, the shrimp was crunchy and flavorful and the sauce had a delicious sweet spicy taste. For mains, I ordered the 1/2 Buffalo chicken sandwich on brioche with fries and my husband ordered the lobster avocado club on a split roll with fries. We both loved the sandwiches, fries were cooked perfectly and the ingredients in the sandwiches were fresh and perfectly balanced. Our dessert choices were white chocolate bread pudding, and lave cake with ice cream. The perfect ending to an amazing meal. We didn’t check out the cocktail menu as we did have an appointment following our lunch but we will certainly return to this jewel of a restaurant!

    Came here for KC restaurant week and loved it! Highly recommended the bang bang shrimp. Service was a little slow, but I think they just weren’t prepared for the amount of people. The workers were very kind and fun. Would for sure come back !!

    Visited for restaurant week. We had decided to come to try the brunch, but unfortunately it was canceled on our visit due to staffing. We were pretty bummed because that why we came. We went ahead and got the #KCRestaurantweek lunch menu. Very delicious all around from the appetizer to the dessert. It's a very fun lounge vibe with cool decor and seating. Service was good.
