Birthday dinner for my wife. 40 course, enjoyed every single item. This was my 3rd time dining here, it keeps getting more and more impressive. Service was impeccable, Mandy was knowledgeable and sincere, well worth the cost of dining here.

Unique experience with amazing food, along with unique serving plates and bowls. You could tell there was a lot of care into every dish and the meal made you feel immersed into Chef Marc Lepines art. The staff even went beyond and invited us to the kitchen to meet the chef. Great experience all around!

The food is unbeatable - the taste, the variety and the presentation. However, the music upstairs where we were seated was very loud. Also, the AC was so high, we had to put on our coat/sweaters even after they had lowered it when another customer complained. The service is polite, informed, and attentive. This is the third time I've eaten at Atelier. It is definitely a wonderful eating experience and unforgettable night out.

Very fun evening, staff was fantastic, good pace, fun creative foods, very tasty. A few servings where more fun and creative than tasty but with 40 servings that is perfectly fine. We took the full wine pairing which was also interesting though I'm not sure we'd do it again as it brought our total to over 1000$ for 2 people (including well deserved tip), and I'm not sure the quality of most wines we where presented with made that bill justifiable. All in all, a very good evening. Highly recommend.

Why is Atelier only ranked 88 on 2023 Canada’s best 100 restaurants and only 5th in Ottawa? 40 courses is truly a unique sensory experience like no other. When Michelin finally make their way to Ottawa, Atelier will be worthy of 3 stars. I believe chef Lepine is truly under appreciated in Canada. This restaurant should be a mainstay in the top 10.

First time at a tasting menu + full wine pairing of this level and I have to absolutely recommend this to everyone! The food was amazing, felt the perfect level of full afterwards. Each dish was explained and unique. Bernard, who was our sommelier, did a wonderful job explaining each pairing and challenging our taste buds. Truly outstanding experience!

The food was the highlight. So many different tastes and courses to discover. However the service took forever, we waited 90 minutes to get our first wave of courses. Total time for the meal was 5.5 hours. Also the music was random, mix of 90s pop, Latin, adult contemporary. Felt like someone put their iPod on shuffle. Lastly there were quite a lot of fruit flies and 1 ended up in our wine. The reaction from the staff was swift and appropriate though. Overall a memorable experience, just a few hiccups.

Amazing food presented beautifully. The service was stellar. The wine pairing was terrific. Not cheap, but still feels like a great value for a tasting menu this large. Definitely worth a visit.

It was a fabulous evening and a wonderful experience. The food was interesting and paced in a way that keeps you engaged for the 5 hours without thinking about anything but the experience. My wife tried the half wine pairing and I tried the placebo pairing. We shared and found both really well chosen to compliment the dishes. It a really rewarding and a good way to experience both possibilities and still drive home afterward. There is really only one seating that is slightly offset from table to table. This has the advantage of building anticipation for the next flight as you heard the introduction at your neighbour’s table while you were winding down from your own but it did, at times, mean that the servers were speaking over each other and it got a little noisy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants an intimate and unique dining experience and has a few hours to indulge themselves.

Overall very impressive and a wonderful dining experience. Pretty much an unforgettable evening. To manage expectation: Don't expect hot dishes to be super hot (temperature). The decor is modern so nothing plush to dampen the noise from the music or other patrons. I made the mistake of eating a garnish (oops) and it literally left a bitter taste in my mouth--honest mistake by me since even unlikely items were edible. We shared sips of the cocktail pairing and it was enough booze for us both (5 cocktails in total). The staff are super accommodating with food preferences and allergies so don't be shy. Dining at L'Atelier is a gastronomic theatre experience.--an experience of art, science, geography and culture getting chewed up over a 3 hour period. Highly recommended and will definitely go back.

This was our 3rd visit to this outstanding restaurant. We were celebrating our Ruby Anniversary and we're not disappointed in the least. The 44 "course" shared plate tasting menu was delicious. This was high-end tapas and then some. The chefs (I was told there were 5 working on this night) produced plate after plate of inventive dishes - each one in a "flight" married to the others in some way or another. Truly, this is delicious fare and was admirably directed by our server, Tristan. We paired our meal with a perfectly selected flight of wine tasting of such elegance. Each glass enhanced the food we were eating. Pick an occasion (or don't) and go here to eat. Don't eat lunch...or perhaps breakfast. Prepare to be wowed!

This isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience. And an amazing one at that! Every single dish is so meticulously thought out, and they take into consideration anything you might not like so long as you inform them beforehand. It does take about 4hrs but they will fly by as every wave of dishes comes to you. Each more delicious and intricate than the last. Some even with interactive elements! Our waiter, Nick, was wonderful! We both felt a little out of place somewhere so high end but he really made us feel comfortable and enjoyed chatting/joking with us along the way. Highly recommend getting the cocktail pairing.

Highly Memorable. The most creative meal we have experienced. Amazing taste experience presented by superbly knowledgeable staff and highly informative sommelier who suggested wonderful pairings. Our dining experience at Atelier was outstanding from beginning to end! This was our second time dining at Atelier but our first time experiencing the 44 course culinary experience and my, what an experience. The team is attentive to your every need, quietly replenishing water, straightening your chair when you leave the table to go to the restroom and seamlessly orchestrating the waves and wine pairings to align with the pace set by the diners. As for the food, Chef Lepine and team, continues to impress, and just when you think that you have seen and tasted it all, the next set of courses renders one speechless. Also worth noting is the wine pairing experience - the sommelier is mesmerizing - from the sound of his voice to the incredible descriptions of the wines being sampled - all perfect accompaniments to the courses being served. I would most certainly recommend the wine pairing with the food and for those wanting to keep their consumption in check, Atelier offers a half pairings. Atelier is the place to go for any major celebrations. Alternatively, why wait for a reason to celebrate - embrace life and let Atelier be the celebration.
