Having finally dined here, I understand why Atlantico has only 3 stars on Yelp. It was for a birthday celebration. It was the only place on a Friday night that could fit 8 people. The food was so salty that we had to send it back. The first was the salad which was like eating spoons of salt. Then the two lobster paellas came and both were really wet and salty. We told them again but instead of taking it off the bill, we were brought two “complimentary” desserts (had I not checked the bill, we would have been charged) that I tried to send back. Then we were served port that no one really wanted. Atlantico is trying to be upscale but they are far from one. Any upscale restaurant would have immediately brought a new paella and taken it off the bill. We barley touched it. Service was mediocre. The waitress was more interested in making sure the bill was large so she got her 20%. No manager cane by to make sure things were ok at all. Would not dine here again. Also there is a 3% operations charge, again acting like the restaurant is upscale when it’s not. Had Barcelona not been full that night, we would’ve have been paying 1k for a party of 8 for food we could barely eat. So no, we will not be dining here ever again.

Loved the ambience. The staff were attentive and friendly. Most of the tapas were very good specially the mussels, hamachi, scallop crudo, pulpo, and mushrooms. The paella which i hoped was going to be the star of the show, was very disappointing: rice was mushy and had a off taste, no soccarat, and the slices of seafood were arbitrarily placed on top.

Our third visit to Atlantico. Raw items were exceptional. Cooked items were disappointing, mostly due to presentation and preparation. Cauliflower unevenly roasted; meatballs (lamb, veal, pork) were bland compared to past visits. Realize post-covid that focus is more on take-out (rapid bags going out for pickup during the meal) compared to tables with clients. Bar was full, Rose recommendation was excellent. We will come again because the potential beckons us! May just have been an off night in the kitchen or perhaps fall will bring some menu enlightment changes.

I went in with low expectations because I have tried other Spanish restaurants in the area, but I was very surprised by the food. All the tapas plates and main plates we ordered were extraordinary!!!

Made reservations while in Boston and it was the last day of restaurant week so we got a really good special meal. That was delicious! Sangria was the best I’ve had so far in Rhode Island since being in Spain and Portugal. I heard their paella was really good and need to come back to try that for sure.

We had their last night with cousins that were in from Washington State. We needed to talk for hours while we shared small plates, Sangria (fabulous), and lots of laughter and memories. Thank you for taking wonderful care of us and helping to make the evening so memorable! We can't wait to come back. Everything was so delicious and my cousin paid for dinner! A wonderful gift.!

Group of 4 visiting for the first time during Dine-Out BOS. Excellent options, appreciated flexibility to accommodate allergies, food was outstanding and the setting was fabulous. Service was great (perhaps a bit too efficient as plates were removed while other members of the party were still eating). Please note that a 3% plus an additional 20% is added to your bill (pretax) as gratuity for kitten and wait staff.

Food was good, portions were small and it was overly expensive, to be that expensive, while the service is nice, is not upscale. A dinner for 6, 2 alcohol drink and no other beverages (water only), 3 special menus, a paella and 2 appetizers was over $500 and a 20% default service fee was included, we usually leave 22-25% tip, but it was aggravating that they already added it so we left it at the default 20%. The food was good but not worth over $500.

Wonderful experience for a low-key birthday dinner. Service was attentive and good, yet unpretentious. Cocktails and mocktails were perfect. Food was delicious. The seafood was all very fresh and expertly prepared, and paired nicely with seasonings and vegetables so we all left very satisfied yet not overly stuffed! This is just splitting hairs, but the timing between courses could have been better. But that is very minor in the light of an outstanding experience!

We stumbled into Atlantico earlier this spring while attending an event near by and had to rush through dinner. I never stopped thinking about the Calimar. When talk of my birthday dinner location started I knew I wanted to come back! We got the calimar again, perfect in every way, also had the sardines, delicious and spicy!! I had the halibut, if I die, I want to drown in the creamed corn. My husband ate all except maybe 9 bites of the paella and had to be rolled to the car. I had flan for dessert. Everything was perfect. Service was excellent. Never had a dirty dish in front of me, never had an empty water glass. Service staff was all friendly, smiling and proud to serve your food. We will absolutely return!!

Hands down the best seafood version of a Paella we've had. A lot of attention to detail in every dish and even the drinks. Nothing was overcomplicated, which makes you focus on how the seafood was treated. No weak spots in their seafood lineup and for once I am on board with 'pricier' seafood options.
