Our 1st visit to Atlas Steak & Fish was a very pleasant one, our server was awesome. The manager also switched me to a different table, at my request, which was greatly appreciated! I would most definitely recommend you to family & friends! The food was amazing!
Our server Laura was wonderful and the service manager was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, highly recommend the charcuterie board, and the ambience was perfect for date night with the piano player performing in the background.
We were lucky enough to have reservations for the prime rib Sunday and enjoy the atmosphere and very accommodating and pleasant staff! My friends enjoyed the prime rib and I had to have my steak oscar. This is the second time I’ve had my favourite steak and it was not hot. I will not give up as the restaurant is so pleasing to go to, staff always wonderful and will try again for a hot Oscar, the flavour is always good! We will be back and bring our out of town guests there whenever we can.
Had an amazing Valentine’s Day date night! Service was amazing!
My husband and I loved our night out at Atlas. Leigha, our server was amazing. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. I had the beef tenderloin with the Oscar topping and it was cooked perfectly just true way I like it. We had the wild mushrooms and Brie whipped mashed potatoes which was more than enough to share. We were so stuffed from dinner that we didn’t have any room for dessert, but Leigha gave us a free dessert anyways. Thanks so much to the great staff!
I love this place so I went for Valentines day dinner on Feb 15th and was super dissapointed with the service. The food is always great though but the service this time was lacking. The manager was soley focused on the tables on the outside section of the room as their parties were bigger and he felt that revenue would be more at those tables I guess. So the tables seated in the center of the room were neglected. We waited 20-25 minuites just to get our wine glasses re filled and then the food took almost 40-35 min. Im not going to blame the waitress as she was taking orders from the manager and was trying her best while he told her to focus more on those outside tables so we were very dissapointed with the service. In addition, we asked for the table side cesar salad as we always did and they brought the salad already made so no table side experince. Then the manager and waitress brought out the table side salad for the table on the outside and they got the full experience so Om not sure what that was about. The food is always great though as a result of their awesome chefs and the waitress also bought us dessert because she knew that we were being neglected so she definatley tried. However, the manager on duty was not professional at all and neglecting people because we were only a party of two is unproffesional and not wise to pass judgment as although we were a party of two we are always looking to spend money on great food and quality service.
Very delicious steaks here!!
Quite pricey for what you get. Long wait for food, although was quite busy. Serving size very modest, but food quality very good.
This was our 2nd time dining at this location. The chefs are exceptional and the food very high quality. The service is second to none. We especially appreciated the table service Caesar salad option ... very classy and well executed. The ambiance was lovely however we have one minor complaint to report and that is the so called "casual/smart" dress code. We witnessed people being allowed in to this "fine dining" establishment in t-shirts and unkempt hair who obviously just came in from the casino and must have won big to be able to afford the dine here. I realize that the restaurant has a somewhat obligation to allow paying customers into their establishment, but then in my opinion do one of two things ... either develop a strict dress code and follow it! or drop the "Casual/smart" tagline on the website to then allow "anyone" into this establishment because that is the impression we had now for the 2nd time at this fine restaurant. As I said earlier that this was a "minor" complaint and probably won't affect us coming back again as the food and service are superior... however this observation should not go unnoticed as this could prevent some from returning here.
This was the best experience by far From the Greeting and the amazing staff to the open kitchen which on its own I was pretty impressed on how all the chefs where so insink so relaxed on such a buzy night and the food was so good.Even the design and interior was so nice very relaxed you dont feel rushed to finish your dinner and enjoy it .Thank You for a wonderful nigh
We Had to wait to be seated, even though we had a reservation. There appeared to be some confusion in who was responsible for doing what. We were then served by the person who was behind the bar, received our soup quite timely, then waited for a long time to receive our entree, which was the wrong one. Did not appear to have an assigned waiter. Then had to wait forever to order tea and dessert, the tea came on time but the cheesecake took forever, had to ask 2 x where it was. Noticed people who arrived after us were getting their food in a timely fashion and leaving and leaving Then we were told there was a hiccup in the kitchen, so please excuse and we would not be charged for our meal. What a pleasant surprise, as we had decided by then not to leave a tip!! This totally changed our picture of whether we would return or not, as we enjoyed the food but not the experience.
Looking forward to the next time and hoping the hiccup in the kitchen will be fixed and a waiter assigned a set of tables, he is responsible for.
Great service. Music too loud for conversation. Steak heavily spiced, tomato bisque great. Lobster bisque was ok. have had much better. Maître d more concerned about tending his friends than ensuring the experience of others was satisfactory
Went there on a snow day with my husband, mom and sister. Two of us had prime rib (though it appeared cut from different roasts) and it was very yummy. I had to take most of mine home because we had the gorgeous bread with blue cheese butter, the grilled calemari and the steak tartar. The potato was so creamy and the yorkshire pudding was so large! Crispy and not overcooked, with a tender inside.
Mom had the grilled salmon, which was a tad overcooked, but she said the flavour was good. That is the reason for the four stars as I couldnt give four and a half. My sister had the mushroom risotto and the soft shell crab add-on. She had some crab when we were there the time before and was wanting it again. The risotto was so creamy and flavourful. We also had the vegetable add ons. Yum!
Needless to say, we didnt have room for dessert. Caroline took great care of us and even packed the leftovers attractively, unlike other places that basically scrape your plate into the box. Glad to see the paper box and bag for the leftovers that can be composted.
Did their Sunday Night Prime Rib dinner and it was delicious, especially as we had a 2 for 1 coupon. Good complimentary bread was also served, but would have liked to have seen some veggies with the dinner, even if only to provide some colour to the meal. The ambiance was very warm and comfortable, yet the music was a little too loungy for us.
Loved the food, pumping music on a saturday night, was excellent experience and we will most certainly do a repeat. Lobster spagettini was delicious. I'd love to see a more robust wine list, and better seating options for parties of 2.
We found the food was a little overpriced with small portion, but the food is definitely delicious, if you guys can upsize a little, it might be better
Good food and good service. Only thing my husband and I didn't like, when we sat down the hostess told us we have to leave by 830 because there is another reservation. We wanted to take our time to eat and have some drinks, since it was our date night without our kids but we felt we we're being rushed. Other than that, food was amazing!
Food was great, and out Waitress was very attentive but also very discreet.
It's our 3rd visit. The first and third were 5 Stars experience.
We'll plan forward for the
4th, hopefully soon.
Optimal price point for quality of food and service
I love Atlas Steak，last year i enjoyed my dineout with my girlfriend in Atlas, they make me day.And this year i invited my clients to Atlas, i complete a big business in here.
Beautiful setting and food was amazing! Service was outstanding!
This was our third time and I think the service has declined significantly. The food wasn't as good either.
I tried Dine out menu! Every single dish was delicious! One of my favorites was Baked Alaska! I was mesmerized how it tasted but also how it was baked. It was really entertaining! Definitely worth trying!
Food was delicious and server was super attentive and nice.
Kevin and his team are awesome. The service is professional, heart warming, and very friendly. The food is delicious, from appetizers to desserts. We had a great post wedding dinner here and will definitely come back again! Thank you!!
Steak was chewy and had a lot of fat. Service was slow but waitress was good. Four people serving one table yet sevaral other tables sitting and waiting for their next course. Ceasar salad was very very basic no parmesan on it. Drink was substituted with no acknowledgement to that fact. Presentation is average at most. Dessert was the best part. Overpriced for quality and portions, would not return or recommend. Disappointed.
Great service! There is never a problem at Atlas. Staff is the best, and amazing too! They need to be thanked for there great work.
I Will definitely be back with my friends. One of Burnaby’s best Restaurants. Food, Service, and the night is always full of good laughs too!
Food was really good and the service was also really good, except our server told us the they ran out of the drinks we ordered and recommended something similar that is not a similar price, but never disclosed that.
The restaurant is good amidst is next to the Gran Villa Casino in Burnaby.
The food was good. The service was excellent. We looked at the normal menu and would not eat there but the place was full not only because of Dine Out.
It really noisy because they accommodate large parties for birthdays and special occasions.
Overall, I would recommend it if they want to eat in an expensive restaurant.
Not too shabby
Server are good initially but after the manager intervened service is not there anymore. I have been a customer of the restaurant at least over 10 times for the past year and tonight is the second time in this year. I found this new manager sarcastic and a bit of racial discriminated. The first time in the restaurant this year they have chopstick ready for us on the table. This time when we told the server we required bowl and chopstick the manager came and said the restaurant do not have chopstick and then parade at least 3 or 4 different shape of bowl to our table as if he enjoyed doing it. I got chopstick from the noodle shop inside the casino and he seemed to be offended and said this restaurant is not a Chinese restaurant. We have always been bringing orange to eat in the restaurant and over the previous visit no one ever tell us that this is not allow. This manager is surprised that we did that and over an over again telling us this is not allow. I appreciated him telling me only once is enough and he really did not need to repeatedly saying so.
They have great ambience and awesome food service. The server explained everything well and her eye contact with the others was great. Food portion was also good. It was an awesome night.
What a wonderful experience! Excellent service and food was great and priced right. Would definitely recommend.
I love this restaurant. Good quality, good taste. and i like the bread so much.
Went to Atlas for the first time as part of the Dine Out Vancouver campaign. Our server Hayley was incredible....attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly; Atlas has a gem in her! Had the Caesar salad, striploin steak, and Baked Alaska. The salad was good, although very light on dressing. The steak was well plated, with a tasty chimichurri sauce and warm potato salad - steak was done perfectly, but the potatoes were a little bland. The highlight though was the Baked Alaska, flambéd tableside — to die for! Will definitely be back to Atlas Steak + Fish.
This was our second time eating here. Whilst the food and service were lovely, we really did not enjoy where we were seated. It felt like economy class on an airplane. We were too close to other tables. Even though we told them we were there to celebrate our anniversary, because we were only 2 people we were seated in the area where a bunch of 2 seaters were lined up really close to each other and we could hear every word of other people’s conversations and they could hear ours. This was in spite of the fact that there were many other, better tables vacant, and our reservation was for 5.45 pm on a Wednesday evening. Although the food and service were excellent, the fact that we could not have a romantic dinner because of where we were seated spoiled the experience for me.
We have ordered the steak. The steak do not cook to our standard. My wife and I pieces were overcook. My children pieces were undercooked. However, they did offered us a bake Alaska without changing.
Went there for dine out with my friend. We enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. The baked Alaska was delicious. Would definitely go there for dinner again!
My favourite steak house in greater Vancouver area!
We had a large party of 11 on a weeknight, in the middle of DineOut Vancouver. Not everyone had the dineout, and we had five different bills, but the server was wonderful and patient, answering our questions and addint to each couple's request.
The food was great, with not one error. The steaks were done as ordered, the seafood was perfect and not overcooked. The drinks and sides were also tasty and good value.
The desserts were really good, with the baked alaska flamed tableside. We had two birthdays and the restaurant provided each birthday girl with a dessert plate.
The restaurant was full but we were not rushed at all.
We will be back. In fact, we already have reservations for tomorrow!
