A mild winter with a dry, warm March caused early bud break. Colder temperatures and light rain in late spring stunted cluster development which ultimately led to smaller grape clusters and berries. Summer temperatures were mild and ripening progressed slowly and steadily with intense flavors developing early. This vintage exhibits concentrated aromatics and deep color

Unusually prominent pear and lime fruit aromas and flavors are brought beautifully into focus by a tight line of bright natural acid and a long, dry minerality. An elegant, yet textured and intense wine with a strong personality of both place and vintage

The diversity of Sonoma's vast coast allows us an amazing opportunity from the start to blend subtle with supple, to unite bright berry tones with luscious brambly pie filling. The wine is aged eight to nine months in French oak barrels, melding exuberant sweet spice tones with berry fruit and velvety smooth tannins for a soft, supple wine. It has a long, dynamic finish that carries on the same flavors from the nose. Really a triumph

Made in an unabashedly rich and concentrated style, it is an excellent effort. Only the imposing tannic structure of the vintage keeps the score from going higher." Wine Advocate

This 2010 hallmark wine is similarly composed of four grape varieties: Merlot 40%, Syrah 20%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%, Cabernet Franc 20% John Simes, Mission Hill Family Estate's chief winemaker, has carefully crafted the 2010 vintage of this exquisite wine. The grapes were selected from the best blocks within our estates in Osoyoos and Oliver. They were hand harvested, hand sorted, and gravity filled in small lots to French oak fermenters. After extended maceration, the free run wine and a portion of lightly basket pressed wine was aged separately in a selection of 100% French oak barrels for 12 months. VINTAGE REPORT: While the 2010 growing season posed some significant challenges, the estate vineyards on the east-side of Osoyoos Lake and Black Sage Bench overcame the late bud break, cool conditions during flowering, and an unusually cool summer, eventually yielding some exceptional fruit, albeit at moderately reduced yields. Tight pruning regimes and careful vine and irrigation management all came to the fore in allowing the relatively low-yielding "Quatrain blocks" to reach desired maturation levels with optimal phenolic ripeness. TASTING NOTES: The 2010 Quatrain is an elegant wine, boasting red berry, black cherry, eucalyptus and cedary spice aromas and flavours. Syrah adds a juicy-fleshy texture to this uncommon blend, lending a seamless profile of ripe fruit, dark chocolate and spice to the gutsy structure of the three dominating Bordeaux varietals. WINEMAKER'S NOTES: 40% Merlot, 20% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc Hand harvested from Osoyoos & Oliver vineyards in October 2010 Fermentation & extended maceration in small French Oak Fermenters Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months Alcohol: 14% | Total Acidity: 6.1 g/l Bottled on September 24, 2012

Nose opens with chocolate and black currant, cassis liqueur and blueberry pie. The wine has a wonderful balance of power and elegance, with layers of chocolate and fresh red and black fruits. The finish is long and supple making this wine approachable now, but the acidity and tannin to go the distance and will reward with significant cellaring

Irish Whiskey, Jameson Distillery. Nose: There's still cut grass and some fruit alongside delicious oily pot still character, but things are different here too. Is it sweeter A different sweetness perhaps, more wood spice plus chocolate liqueur. A shift of emphasis. Palate: Orchard fruits, great mouthfeel but the vanilla cream is less prominent, it's more fragrant (hoppy?) and floral on the palate with a touch of bitterness. Finish: Again familiar, but different, that different complexion of spice with chocolate from the nose lingers briefly

Rye Whiskey, Seagram's. Pristine, bright gold color. Vanilla jumps out with the initial sniff. Further air contact leads to dustings of cocoa and whispers of spice. There's a delicate freshness to the nose but overall it comes over as more barrel than grain so not a distinctively rye aroma by any stretch. Entry is light and gently sweet followed by a relatively hollow mid palate. Finishes with a surge of soft spice, vanilla and mildly anise-like, fruity cereal flavors. Warm, dry, spicy rye aftertaste. Fades rather quickly but is clean and light. Flawless mixing whisky, though not if you're looking for a rye with character

Single-malt Scotch Whisky, Oban Distillery. The nose is rich and smokey. The medicinal notes are quite evident with notes of the sea; seaweed, tarry ropes. There are notes of cut hay and wood smoke rising with a gentle estery sweetness. The palate is thick and full. Notes of citrus with smooth sweetness. The smoke wafts with notes of seaweed. The oak is quite rich with grist and cereal and malt. The finish is of good length with fruit and dry oak

Blended Scotch, Johnnie Walker. Nose: Smooth, silky cereal, syrupy flapjacks, polished oak. Desiccated coconut, then other nutty notes: unsalted peanut, brazil nut. Palate: A silky caress. Unexpectedly strong spicy entry, but always honeyed and rounded by some toasty oak. The honeyed malt is beautifully interwoven around the venerable grain, which must be absolutely ancient. Finish: A perfectly-integrated slow fade of the palate. Mouthwatering grain, and the honey and spices dwindle

They served bread that was hot and yummy right out of the oven. We tried the happy hour lobster roll and it was delicious. We ordered duck, salmon, and the others all had steaks. I added a lobster tail and it was cooked to perfection. We all shared a Baked Alaska for dessert and 1/5 was just the right amount as we were all "stuffed". We would certainly recommend the Atlas Steak + Fish restaurant.

Last year i took my in laws here for a dinner prior flying back to Sk. Our server that night was amazing! Gave them a plate of dessert, w/ a lit up sparkles&bon voyage written on it. This time it was my parents 40th anniversary &i was hoping to make this night special but i just got disappointed. Our server Laura was not enthusiastic & barely chatted/looked at us. She only made conversation w/ my partner who was Caucasian & ignored the rest of us Asians like we couldn’t speak English(we took videos of her flambeing the peppercorn sauce. She was only looking/talking to him & ignored the rest of us). I dont get it why she made the sauce at 6:40pm. It sat there for 30 minutes since the Tomahawk came out at 7:10. I ordered tomahawk in the past&sauce was done almost the same time the steak would come out. It was cold by the time we had our steak. SAD! I communicated w/front desk that this was a special occasion. Its their 40th anniversary & theyre leaving Canada next week. I asked if they can write happy anniversary on their dessert plate hoping they will get a complimentary dessert cos it was a special occasion & our bill was also expensive but oh my god! She literally just gave my parents a plate with a lettering on it. Thats it! No dessert! Just a plate with happy anniversary written on it! I dont understand! Cos when i took my in laws they were given a nice bon voyage dessert plate! I was hoping they’d do the same for anniversaries. This is a server’s initiative to make it special but she was not nice to us. She was just doing her “job” by serving but no initiative to do things extraordinary for diners celebrating. She never even said happy anniversary! Good thing i ordered baked alaska&we put it on my parents plate. We ordered coffee w/ dessert but it took so long! We had to finish the dessert first cos it was melting. I feel bad for choosing Atlas for this occasion. It didnt feel special at all! =(

Place is nice, food is good. Waitress came in rushing us to order, forgetting drinks, seemed like she was in a rush to get us out. Not completely satisfied since we spent over $700.00 this time. Not recommending if this is what the service is like.

Food took a long time to come but when it came it was amazing. Love the smoky flavour of meat and sides coming from the Josper oven. Would go again just wished the service was better.

There was disappointment when Atlas did nothing to recognize it as we've seen with others. Food was great. Service was a tad slow - took us 2.5 hours from start to finish. Atlas needs to improve their desserts though; they aren't on par with the rest of the menu; desserts are small and not that tasty. Perhaps add a chocolate dessert of some type?

Great food, delicious drinks, and amazing service. For the experience, and all things considered I wanna say the price is adequate. Make sure you try their Old Fashioned and the Tomahawk steak. I will definitely come back!

The seafood platter included a couple large deep fried crab portions and squid legs. I’d say over 50% of the food was heavily deep-fried and felt very greasy, although it was tasty. I wouldn’t get it again given home much of it was deep-fried and unhealthy. But if you’re into that kind of thing then I would recommend it. The steak tartare was nice. Overall the Decour and the ambiance was pleasant and I would return, but I’d order a different dish next time around.
