Not sure if I would recommend. Very crowded although service great. Food good but pricy.
Really quite a delicious dinner, with a nice wine and cocktail selection. Good vibe; trendy but not pretentious. Would definitely go back!
Our group loved the plant based options on the menu. Restaurant was busy, but excellent service and food was great. Highly recommend.
Everything was good. Not spectacular. Food items were quite small for the price. Drinks were good.
The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic! We will definitely return!
I ordered the fettuccini Alfredo. I did not find it hot enough. Too many mushrooms and not enough alfredo sauce.
Fried. Olives. What’s not to love??
We are regular downtown diners, but we've been away from Atomica for about the last two years. On a recent visit, we were impressed by how much the restaurant has improved. We had a halloumi bruschetta appetizer and two pizzas, all of which were very good. We will definitely be back, and have already recommended Atomica.
I love this place and have been going here with my family for years. The last couple of visits gave great food and really poor service. The servers appeared inexperienced and unable to manage a couple of tables at a time. You have to request bread once you have ordered and you wait for drinks. I asked for a non-alcoholic beer and the server said no we don't have it. I requested she please check because I have gotten it before. She came back and said yes I can get it from next door. The point I am trying to make is that she really didn't wat to bother or take the time to get one.
We started off with a glass of wine and a mojito which was great. We had arancini which were really good as well. The pizza we went with was good. I was a little reluctant to try , but my wife talked me into it. It had an apple butter for the sauce , speck , pear , arugula and cheese. I wasnt overly impressed with the arugula that was just thrown on after the pizza was cooked, it seemed like an afterthought. Over all tho great supper and I would definitely come back.
Accommodating staff, interesting menu and super presentation! Excellent Manhattan really enjoyed watching the service team work so seamlessly while serving with enthusiasm & speed!
The ambiance was great. The food was mediocre ( chicken was dried out a bit). The waiter reminded us there was a reservation after us but then took 45 minutes to bring us our bill. 💁🏼
Great food friendly staff. I will recommend and can't wait to go back
The food was very good, the atmosphere was nice. The service is where improvement is needed. I dont know if it was because it was busy and she was overwhelmed but the waitress was not very friendly. When she first approached the table there was no "Hello how is everyone". Her first words were "Would you like some drinks" I would still recommend this restaurant and give it another chance as the food was excellent.
Congrats to you for experimenting with lots of plant-based items. The spiralized zucchini noodles with pureed nut sauces were amazing. Keep exploring the possibilities! Well done.
The only suggestion: noise level could be addressed:)
Love the addition of the plant based items on the menu! Our service was great. We sat near the window which was drafty and the noise level in there is always quite loud which makes it a little difficult to enjoy the company. The food was amazing though and I highly recommend eating there.
We arrived for our 8:30 reservation and the restaurant was very full. We could not be seated for about 15 minutes - the restaurant brought our party some drinks, but it's fairly awkward standing in the entrance holding your cab sauv while people eat their dinner at your elbow. None of the wait staff or the hostess seemed very concerned about our large group (and several other groups of varying size) just milling aimlessly in this small restaurant - there was no attempt at apology. We were offered complimentary dessert when we were standing, but our waiter's shift was over and on handover, they neglected to mention this to our new waiter - we never did end up with dessert. Once seated, service was quite slow. This is not the first time that we've had issues with reservations at this restaurant. On a positive note, the pizza is quite good (but I would stay away from the pasta).
Service was slow but the place was nearly empty, like 3 other tables. We weren’t addressed by our server for 20 mins after seating and the kitchen was very slow as well. Food and drinks were great which made the wait more tolerable.
The food was fresh, delicious and well presented. Drinks were good. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely worth the return visit.
A fun restaurant with excellent pizzas! Vegan and GF options are nice too.
Fabulous! Delicious food. Wonderful service. Funky atmosphere. We were there early so noise not a factor
Excellent as always!
Family dinner while traveling- very accommodating and kid friendly. Also vegetarian/vegan friendly. Delicious!
Great food. Quality seems to have gone up since last year. Cocktails were well made. Bit on the loud side but not too much that we couldn’t hear across the table.
Atomica is one of our favourite spots in downtown Kingston! We absolutely love the service and menu... I usually go for the autunno pizza but recently tried the new carbonara--OUTSTANDING... As was our server, Tash. Thanks for another fantastic evening!
My sister and I both work in the service industry and were appalled at the customer service at Atomica. We went on Saturday for their happy hour, which is very clearly advertised on their sign out front. “$6 Signature Cocktails and 30% off appetizers from 3-5pm daily”. When we sat down, I asked the server which appetizers are included in happy hour. She showed us the list. We ordered 4 Signature Cocktails and 2 appetizers before 5 o’clock, and when our bills came, we had been charged $12 per Signature cocktail that we ordered. I pointed this out to the server politely saying I think she forgot to discount our happy hour drinks. She responded by saying that the cocktails we ordered are not included in happy hour. She said that their Classic Cocktails are the $6 happy hour drinks. I picked up a small sign that was on every table in the restaurant advertising their happy hour, and pointed out that it says $6 Signature Cocktails. I pointed at the drinks we ordered under “Signature Cocktails” on their menu. She said she would go talk to her manager. We saw her go to the manager and come back, saying “your drinks are not a part of happy hour, and the best my manager can offer you is 20% off your drinks.” I asked if I could speak to the manager. When he came over, he said he didn’t know that we were here for happy hour and that we “should have asked” before ordering our drinks if they were part of the deal. I told him I thought the sign out front and on every table was very clear in addressing that Signature Cocktails are the drinks that were included, and did not think further questions were needed to clarify that. Little did we know, these signs were all false advertising. The manager again offered us 20% off our drinks. I told him that we would not have ordered 4 drinks if we had known each one was $12. After an unnecessarily long discussion regarding the poor advertising and customer service, the manager finally gave in and took two drinks off of our bill.
Great food, great service and a good vibe. My wife and I had a great time. Only comment would be regarding the small plate chicken skews, make the street corn with chorizo it’s own dish. The chicken was unnecessary. Also, use some dark meat to with some fat to keep it from drying out.
Nice outdoor seating area! I was able to add extra ingredients to my pizza
Atomic Kitchen is extremely vegan friendly and main menu includes a number of plant based options. We particularly appreciated the waitress Helene who was very knowledgeable about the menu options, and did everything in her power to ensure that we had a very positive dining experience. She is a tremendous asset to the restaurant.
We have eaten at Atomica a number of times now, and keep returning for the reasons mentioned above. Highly recommend the restaurant for vegan and non-vegans alike.
I'm a fairly regular patron (usually for lunch) & have NEVER been disappointed. The menu is always interesting and reasonably priced. I've introduced a fair number of friends to Atomics as well.
This is now an awesome restaurant for vegans and nonvegans alike. The plant based menu rivals many top end vegan restaurants in Vancouver, which is a known vegan haven, where we were visiting from. Highly recommend. Service is also always perfection. That is what has kept us coming back multiple times every time we’re in Kingston visiting family.
Our server was very polite and "on the ball." We enjoyed sitting on the patio with a nice cold drink.
We were coming over on a ferry and late. 7 phone calls and no answer. Emailed and fb messaged w no answer. not sure how one communicates with these folks. Got there and realized the place was only ½ full and were easily seated after being told they were crazy busy. Service was friendly but painfully painfully slow and inefficient. Appetizers arrived after an hour. Finally informed the wait staff that we would have to leave and get food boxed in order not to miss the ferry back. I had to leave without finishing the cocktail that I ordered 15 minutes before, and no main. People who arrived after us got their food first. Staff was apologetic as to the slow service but the discount offered was negligible. When my family met me with all of our boxed dinners there was no fork for my food. After fetching a fork from Tim Horton’s, I found the sausage and rapini pasta dish astringent and unpleasantly sour. This was such a disappointing experience. We visit the area every summer and always come to Atomica. I don’t think we will be back.
Great pizza and beer selection. Very pleased.
We always enjoy experiencing restaurants like this and not chain restaurants. Great food and great expert
Great drinks. Food was hot and delicious, our server was excellent proved just what we needed in attention. It was a great evening, would recommend for anyone to try and we will go back again for sure.
I have been to Atomica before and enjoyed the food and nice ambiance.
This time I found the menu / food choices poor.
There only seemed to be four interesting dinner entrees.
The rest was pizza - seems like this is now become an upscale pizza restaurant.
Overall quite disappointing , the person I had dinner with told me that in no uncertain terms would he return.
In a city with a great many excellent and nearby restaurants I don’t think I would return either.
Great drinks- especially the sour beer and pear sangria. The pizza tastes like wood oven pizza should and the pasta is so good- 2 things that can be hard to find. Service is good and the atmosphere is nice too
Excellent food, great service, good drink selection. One of my favourite places in Kingston for pizza or appetizers.
