The food was fine, it was a good dinner but nothing crazy. Server was lovely. It’s inside the hotel so the ambience also isn’t great. It’s odd for open table to list this as a restaurant when it’s inside a hotel.

ATX Olive Company is a restaurant across from our hotel with a cool vibe. We literally just walked across the parking lot from our hotel. There was live music, great drinks and delicious pizza.

We went for Valentines day and were seated with a dedicated valentines day menu. A quick evaluation showed it was not an option for us as we are vegetarian and the menu was steaks. They did not complain and handed us the regular menu. We ordered, the food came in an appropriate time and was good. The jazz duo playing was entertaining without being intrusive. We had a lovely time. It was not inexpensive but the price was appropriate for a V day dinner.

WOW!! This restaurant is located in the Marriott hotel. Great concept and is a hidden gem. The food is top notched and you can tell they make things from scratch. Well designed menu! Service was pretty ok. The staff is really friendly and attentive. You can tell they are close to putting it all together. The only down side was the foosball table. It is extremely loud and doesn’t fit in the restaurant. Seems it was just an added last minute adjustment. The pool tables almost take away from the dining experience as well.

On Christmas Day, as we were traveling through town, we came for Christmas dinner. They apologized for having a reduced staff, and also offered a minimal menu. Fortunately, all the food we ordered was very good. I had the Texas Baby Gem Caesar with the top sirloin, very tasty. My husband really liked Ricotta Meatballs and our son loved the 50/50 burger.

We did not eat here. We made a reservation based on the menu (small plates) and the 5-star reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately, it was not what we expected. It is located within a Residence Inn on the frontage road of I-35. When we arrived there was no one there to greet us at 7PM on a Saturday night. We sat ourselves but a server never came to our table. There was a loud group of rowdy men watching sports, and the overall ambiance was blah. We left and went somewhere else.

Everything about our meal was pretty unacceptable. We were hoping for a nice, relaxing Italian meal. Instead, while he seemed like a nice guy, our waiter was totally untrained. He really didn’t know how to serve people, let alone supposed casual dining at a Marriott. We didn’t blame him - it’s a management problem. We weren’t properly greeted, had to ask to turn the loud music down, the bottle of wine (which I had to pour myself) was opened at the bar and brought to the table, glassware was dull and spotted, the calamari was terrible, it took forever to receive the brisket rigatoni (dry, way over-cooked) and chicken Parmesan (actually not bad), weren’t offered dessert, and the waiter brought the check long before we were finished eating. My sense is the waiter could become an attentive waiter if someone just trained him properly - or trained him at all. Poor kid. He tried, but didn’t have a clue. And it was an expensive meal. As Marriott members for several decades, although not staying at the hotel (we live locally), my wife and I both were embarrassed that such a premium brand could operate such a terrible restaurant. We tried it hoping for a nice meal. It was memorable, but not because it was a good experience. Marriott management needs to fix this - or sell the franchise. It’s way below standard. Won’t be back.
