It was a sad event for me given that it was 48 hours prior to the closing of Aujourd 'hui, one of Boston's finest restaurants. And given that it was my final meal there, everything went as I had experienced in previous visits. As always, the service was impeccable. Of course, the meal was outstanding, all three courses. The wild salmon was succulent. The crab salad was flavorful. And the chocolate souffle was as good as I have ever had. A fine Boston institution has come to an end. Your culinary delights will be missed. Au revoir Aujourd 'hui.

It is a sad time for Boston when a restaurant like Augjourd'hui closes. The last of the truly great elegant dining experiences - superb service, elegant refined atmosphere, food over the top.

The restaurant is closed for dinner by now but even that it was thair last weekend when we dined there it would not be excused for "whatever-you-order-is-fine" waiter. He didn't care and gave not any personal recomendation. Even if he did not like any food or is unhappy that they are closing he should add some personal touche. My halibut was toatlly overcooked and I did order it undercook. Food was very fair, not as should be for this level of the restaurant.

The decor was nice, the food was OK, the waiter was excellent.......there weren't many choices for meals and worst off not many side dishes to complete a meal such as potatoe, vegetables etc....

Best dining room in Boston, regretfully it closes June 27, 2009 due to economic conditions. That is a real loss as it is not only the best brunch in the entire town, the ambience, setting and service are lst class. It's definately a real loss to the dining scene in Boston for those who appreciated excellent service and excellent food.

Our dining experience at this restaurant was outstanding!!! Impeccable service, careful without being interfering...delicious food, beautifully presented, and lovely atmosphere with tables nicely spaced. We eat out quite often in the Philadelphia area, and this restaurant was definitely in our top 10 list! Thank you for a lovely evening, especially since we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.

My husband and I were celebrating our one-year wedding anniversary, and we were each offered a complimentary glass of Veuve in honor of our celebration--a wonderful surprise. Our appetizer (a raw fish medley, don't remember which fish) was delicious, as was our lobster bisque (decadent) and beet salad (vibrant and fresh). I ordered the rabbit, which utilized the meat in a pasta and rillette as well as sliced over carrot puree. The rillette was especially good. My husband ordered the steak, which arrived as prepared, with delicious mustard greens. We ordered the hazelnut napoleon dessert to share, but they generously offered us a second dessert as part of our celebration. These special touches made our evening memorable and romantic.

Everything about our meal from arrival to departure was bang on target! It is pricey but you wouldn't expect to get the food, service, ambiance and lovely wines we had for a bargain. Now, early summer, is the time to go as it's the slow season for Boston eateries. Aujourd 'hui is absolutely on our BOS list for future visits ;-)

All was superb except for one thing. We were informed that the restaurant is closing at the end of June 2009. Another victim of the economy although on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, the restaurant was quite busy!

I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday. I noted it was her birthday via open table and she was wished happy birthday by 3 different staff members when we arrived. The lobster was a bit plain, but the rack of lamb was one of the best meat cuts I have ever eaten in my entire life. My girlfriend ordered a chocolate souffle, which was very good and was brought out to her with the words "Happy Birthday" spelled out in chocolate. On the way out, the mater d' bid us a wonderful evening at the theater. How he figured out that's where we were going next I don't know, but it was a nice touch. The view is of a beautiful park. The ambiance is appropriate for an intimate evening. One irritation was that parking was $24. Most Romantic in Boston.

I took my husband there for his Birthday. Very nice response from both all the staff, wishing him a Happy Birthday. They even wrote it in chocolate on his dessert dish! Food was very good, presentation very nice.

Not much of a crowd early Friday evening, so staff was very attentive. Ordered a la carte and enjoyed a wonderful goat cheese and baby beet salad. Our entrees were slow roast Atlantic char (which was quite good) and beef tenderloin that my wife described as a little above average but not the best she's had. My dessert of peach souffle and strawberry creme glace was outstanding and I was glad I ordered it at the start. We had a nice evening.

We went to Aujourd'hui for the Easter Brunch and it was fabulous. The dining room is beautiful and we had a great table overlooking Boston Commons. The service was excellent and the food was consistently above average, especially for a buffet style. We felt welcomed by all the staff and they genuinely imparted the feeling that they were happy we were there. This is the 2nd time we have been there for the Easter Buffet and I think it would be hard to top as a place to spend this special day.

Even with an early reservation we were kept waiting for them to set up the table. The waitstaff was very inefficient. The drink order was mixed up twice and dirty dishes were not removed promptly. This restaurant has a tired look and overall overrated.

My wife and I are 'foodies', and enjoy fine dining for special occasions. I took my wife her for her birthday, and we really enjoyed the meal. We had a 5:30 dinner, before a 7:30 show, and we had great seats with a view on the Boston Gardens. The service was fantastic, a perfect mix of attentive but not annoying. The food was very good, albeit a bit pricy. I must say we enjoyed the food at L'Espalier a bit better, but it's pretty close. Highly recommended.
