Aux Vivres Plateau
Portion small and lacking variety on plate (although other plates obsereveed were well-portioned...I think it was just my plate and order was lacking...).
Only 4 choices for brunch. WOuld have liked to have a few more options.
Service was good, but really really slow to get our food and bill. Wanted more water and attention, but impossible. Otherwise, would maybe try again.
Restaurant sympathique pour le brunch à un prix raisonnable.
Food was awesome but unfortunately service was quite slow.
Main course meal was good but did not like the appetizers
Super tasty! I love coming here for brunch. Was thrilled they could accommodate our party of 11 for brunch. Thanks, Aux Vivres!
Good vegan food....very hefty portions. Their wine selection is very limited and the price is too expensive for what you are getting.
This was the first, and is still one of the best places in Montreal to get Vegan food. I went with a friend and we shared 4 appetizers as our meal. It was great! So was the Apple cider-tonic-ginger drink. We shared the un-cheescake for dessert, and it was delicious.
I went with my parents to celebrate and the food and service was excellent. This restaurant is a favorite of mine and I’ve been there more than 10 times. I’ve never had a bad experience. It is not quiet but not too loud for a conversation. I highly recommend!
Happy they accommodated my raw vegan needs! Would love to see a fully raw salad come into play. Maybe Thai with a raw peanut sauce or tahini inspired?
Amazing experience, would recommend to anyone. The best of the best.
The first thing we noticed was how amazing the food smelled when we arrived and sat down, and it definitely tasted as good as it smelled. Highly recommended.
The food was very good, the service was fast and the server was very kind. The table that we got was very small for 3 peoples and not confortable. They couldn't move us somewhere else witch was annoying considering that we had a reservation. Otherwise I recommend this place for the vegan experience and the quality of the food.
The food here was absolutely astounding. We were both amazed at how fast the service was, but we were really sold on the food that was equal parts creative, filling, delicious, and beautiful! We don't live in Montreal, but if we did, we would make Aux Vivres a weekly spot.
Got badly sick after our vist. We reported the problem to the admisitration the day after. They were very comprehensive. But still, we need antibiotics to clear our gastro-intestinal problems...
Just advise the restaurant if you are affected yourself as well. And maybe order cooked food for your safety.
Amazing prices for the quantity of food you get ! One of my favorite vegan places in MTL.
C'est bon et on aime. Cependant, ma conjointe qui est végétarienne et aime le végétalien, et nos amis, mentionnaient qu'il n'y avait pas assez de légumes verts au menu et/ou dans l'assiette.
Peut-être en suggérer davantage.
Very good, tasty and healthy vegan options from brunch to sandwiches and bowls.
I had heard so many great things about Aux Vivres (and I absolutely LOVE their tzatziki), so I was disappointed to walk in and find it to be more of a "diner" than an actual "restaurant". It's definitely more of a casual place for a quick bite than somewhere I would go on a date night. Sadly, there are not many other vegan options in Montreal yet, so despite our trepidation, we stayed to try the food.
Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. She knew the menu well and was able to suggest a great organic beer for me and a smoothie for my husband that he practically finished in one gulp it was so good. She also suggested a delicious curry soup that both my husband I and I loved - the Chana Paratha appetizer did not go over as well. After that, we opted for burgers, my husband choosing the seitan burger and I took the Aux Vivres burger. Both were under-cooked and mushy and the roasted potato wedges they were served with seemed like they were yesterday's leftovers; coldish and soggy. I bet they would have been delicious if they were served fresh & hot from the oven.
Tables were TINY and very cramped - we could barely fit our food and drinks on our little table for two, so I had to keep using the empty table beside me. I would have liked to try some of the delicious-looking desserts, but we were feeling claustrophobic in our tiny cramped booth, so we skipped dessert.
Probably won't be back :-(
Efficient service. One of my go-to restaurants for vegan in Mtl.
Always a pleasure to eat at aux vivres, one of our favorite vegan restaurant in Montreal, we drive 45 mins to get there and its always worth it
I was very disappointed I am a big fan of vegan meal and this was not what I would expect. Shredded carrots, beets, daikon, cabbage each in his pile or heap. rice at the bottom of the place an small bowl holding sesame dressing. I was going to forget that included with the salad was either tofu or tempeh as your protein. For me and my fried a disaster.
Unless you are satisfied with a plain shredded vegetables also you have to pay 4$ to have their Chapiti Bread with vege butter.
Lov, Mandy's, Venice are all so much better even Poke Bar
Very tasty food. I am not a vegan but everything tasted great, fresh, unusual.
Aux vivres experience was very exquise !
We liked the food !
The experience was fair. I expected tastier food, I can do better at home.
Excellent! A little loud, but otherwise fantastic food and service
AmaZing vegan restaurant. Great selection of food and reasonable prices.
Took my daughter and her boyfriend for dinner at Aux Vivres. Was expecting more of a fine dining experience for vegans but it is more like a fast food option. We may have made the wrong choice as far as the food was concerned . We all ordered tempeh burgers because we are big tempeh fans. it was very disappointing. The potato wedges were good but the burger was not.
The desserts were ok. If I go again I'll definitely try something different. I'd like to give this restaurant another chance .
Perfect ! The service is fast and the quality is outstanding.
The food was fresh, plentiful, and nourishing . It was creatively displayed and provided a satisfying dining experience.
Excellent déjeuner! Le service était super. C'est une place à essayer!
Loved the blt. Thai bowl had too many turnips which overpowered the dish
Would definitely return
The food is fresh and tasty. I always HAVE TO get the coconut bacon so this time I added it to the Mekong Wrap- super fresh and yum! The sandwiches are big so 1/2 is perfect to share or take home. I also shared the chilli pouting which has roasted potato wedges and a lot of yummy chilli (personally I'd like it a bit spicier).
We split a huge salad (can't remember...something like the Jumbo or the Imperial) and a channa roti or channa paratha appetizer. I also had a "tonic" drink, which was apple, lemon, ginger. All the food was delicious. The roti was a sort of chaat thing, with tamarind paste on top of the channa. It was lovely. Peas, channa, crispy paratha. We'd had a veg curry at another good veg restaurant in Montreal the night before and this was far better. No reckless use of chili powder, good blending of spices.
The salad was fab. Great dressing, very fresh ingredients. The veg lox was unbelievable. I've never had that before, and it was addictive.
We finished up with a chocobanana pie. That was just off the charts. Super rich, super dark, very smooth, and with a lovely coconut crust. The drink was great too, but everything else was just nuts.
Sweet servers, nice ambience, if a bit cafeteria.
Aux Vivres is THE place-to-be for nutritious vegan/vegetarian delights.
Generous portions. Fun to share.
We are intrigued by the coconut bacon and veggie lox, which are winning concoctions!
I live in San Francisco and we are spoiled with vegan cuisine there so I was excited to try Montréal's 1st vegan restaurant! I brought an omnivore friend who lives here for Sunday brunch and we shared the Tempeh Satay, Hercules Salad w/Tofu & Huevos Rancheros. We each tried two juices. Then we had our own desserts (I'm gluten-free): carrot cake for him and chocolate banana pie for me. The meal was wonderful. It was Frank's 1st time having tempeh so I was happy to find out your artisan tempeh was made locally. I loved the tzatziki that came with the salad (I'm Greek!). So creamy! The desserts were amazing! So happy I tried you all out. Highly recommended for casual dining.
