Angelo creates the most amazing, delicious dishes! The main courses, the distinct, well known fantastic sauces & the well know desserts…award-winning Tiramisu and my ultimate fave…FLAN!!!! Angelo greets everyone, like we are his family, not to mention his charm & wit. Sergio serves us, like no one else can, gives us “the Royal treatment”. Thanks for our PERFECT dinner! 💙💕💙💕💙

My husband and I dine out quite frequently at fine dining establishments, and have been wanting to visit Avanti for quite some time. Restaurant week seemed like the perfect opportunity. Well, we were extremely disappointed to the point of not being able to either recommend it or return. We opted to have dinner at the bar in stead of a table in the main dining room. Initially we were greeted nicely and presented with menus and our drink order. Off to a great start....but after that, it was as if we didn't exist. No one came back to check on us and we were left alone in the bar without anyone coming back to take subsequent orders. After about fifteen minutes, the bartender showed up and we were able to order both another round of drinks and an appetizer. The shrimp cocktail was delicious, but again, we were deserted by any servers. No one asked if our food was good. We ordered our mian courses. I had the Seafood Risotto and my husband, the lasagna. Both dishes were excellent, but again, no one came to check on us. Very odd, as the dining room was only about twenty-five percent capacity. We finished our dinner and again, waited for someone to check on us. I had food left over and chose to have it boxed to go. Finally, a server came in and asked us what we would like for dessert. We chose the canneloni. Imagine our surprise when the server came back with not only my leftovers to go, but our dessert was boxed up and quite securely wrapped in cellophane! We did not ask for dessert to go, nor were we asked if we wanted coffee or an after dinner drink; just given our food with our check. Really, we felt like they couldn't wait for us to leave! It was a very uncomfortable feeling, and no one was waiting for our seats, nor did any other customers come into the bar area while we were dining. I hope the management looks at how we were treated, because it was unsatisfactory and we won't return, regardless of how great the food was. Our dollars are spent well elsewhere.

Whenever we go to the Celebrity Theater, we stop for dinner here! All around EXCELLENT service and food! Jeanie was great and the owner always stops by to say hi! If you like old school decor and authentic Italian, GO!!!

We made mother's day brunch reservation for 2:15. That was towards the end of the buffet type 1/2 the food was gone. The whole place looked like a mess zero service it was crazy. We spent five hundred dollars and we would have been happier at mcdonald's.

Tried to do too much I think. A graduation. Regular dinners in the other room behind a curtain Got off to a slow start. Chicken was dry by the time we got the main course. No Caymus for sale. But appetizers were great. And mood was good. Will do again.

Overpriced cocktails. $16 for a very simple drink. Creme Brule was cold and poorly made. Waiter brought tiramasu, soggy (not with rum or brandy) awful. Used to be a favorite place. Not going back.

Easter Brunch has been go to for many years. We are done. The food wasn't really very good at all. The salad display was good except the shrimp was "floating" in cold water. Made them very mushy. They did not serve prime rib this year. The steak they did serve was not tasty at all and very well done. The server behind the steak area was rude. The lasagna was burnt. The pastas were just not that good this year. Very disappointed. Just was not the same at all. Was really what we would call "filler food". The deserts were all delicious. That helped. But for $79 it was rated an "F" in our opinion.

Excellent food, service, and ambience. Minor complaint is that server kept asking my guests if the wanted refills of coffee and soft drinks, but failed to mention that the refills were not free. Not a big enough deal to make a fuss, but a little tacky.

Sat us in a back corner with card table chairs. Was a little dissappointed. My seat and my brothers seat were both on an incline next to the back wall. Every other table had dining chairs. Food and service were fine.

Food was ok/decent. Our server was terrible. He forgot our appetizer, kept forgetting to bring a glass of wine (which he left the bottle of white sitting on a table next to us), It was not busy but for some reason he ignored our table of 5 with average age mid 50s. Very disappointing after all the good reviews.

It has been a few years since a visit to Avanti. It is amazing that a restaurant can maintain quality of food and service for over 40 years. My husband swears that Avanti's risotto is the best in town and he wasn't disappointed this visit. Granddaughter loves the fettuccine Alfredo. We started with the calamari Florentine appetizer. It was fantastic - redolent with garlic and very fresh calamari. GD had the shrimp cocktail - always perfect with large cold shrimp and tangy sauce. It wouldn't be a visit to Avanti for us without the chocolate mousse for dessert - again - as good as ever. The service is what it should be at an upscale restaurant - friendly, but not your buddy, they anticipate your needs and answer any questions. The other wonderful thing about Avanti - if you would like something changed they are happy to accommodate. It won't be years before we visit again!
