   Great discovery not far from the Arsenal. New resto that opened during the pandemic. Beautifully cooked food and beautifully presented. Quality stemware and plates. Nice lighting, cool chairs and tables. Obvious care taken with the design and space. Good and friendly service. A little pricey but worth it for the overall experience. Very nice meal. The kitchen knows what it is doing. Will go back.

   Food was excellent - we enjoyed all courses. Great balance of flavours and nicely executed. Cocktails were also very good. The kitchen was a bit slow but the service and communication from our waiter was very good. We will definitely return.

    The food was excellent as usual. Ayla serves the most amazing Middle Eastern food in town . The service was very good . Servants and managers were doing their best. But it was not a good New Year’s Eve experience. First we had to wait forever to get seated despite a reservation. The noise level was too high we couldn’t enjoy our conversation . They started distributing party blowers very late and the bubbly that was part of the deal was half a glass Prosecco. And most importantly if it wasn’t for the people next to us who started shouting the countdown to 2023 we would have missed the most important tradition of the New Year’s Eve. The restaurant should have initiated the countdown. Ayla opened during the pandemic and This is their first NYE event so hopefully they will improve in organizing these kinds of evenings!

    Superb Mediterranean Cuisine. Open, friendly setting, with abundant staff- all who know how to serve and are very energetic. Have the Eggplant as it is delicious upon delicious. It’s suggested that the portions are ‘tapas style’ - don’t believe it. All the plates are large portions even to share. Enjoyed the hell out of this wonderful Montréal restaurant.

    The dip platter; great, smoky eggplant; great, short ribs and polenta; great, lamb chops; great, asparagus; overpriced and just normal. Too many waiters serving the same table, causes a bit of confusion. If you have food allergies repeat your needs several times and ask before eating as once the place gets busy, messages got lost in the shuffle. Appropriate level of noise at 7, became more raucous as the evening progressed, hard to hear each other by 9. On a Wednesday night. Overall a lovely evening, I would go back. Dinner for 3 including dip platter, eggplant, asparagus, two main courses and 5 cocktails was $350. Add the tip (with sole options at 18, 20 and 22 percent!!) and the total was $411. A bit pricey, but there was enough food for 4 people, we took some home.

    Très bon mais trop cher et trop bruyant. Parfait pour les Botoxé.e.s riches de 30 ans qui veulent voir et être vus tout en mangeant bien. Very good but too expensive and way too noisy. Perfect for rich Botoxed lips of 30 years oldwho want to see and be seen.

    Ayla has become one of our favourite restaurants in the city. We have come many times with various groups of friends and have never been disappointed. Latifa is the best and her wonderful staff go above and beyond to make sure their guests have a wonderful experience and are well taken care of. Saturday night we had almost everything on the menu and every dish was perfection! Can’t wait to come back! Save me a date pudding!!!

    The food was cooked to perfection and very flavourful. I highly recommend the kebab. Our waitress was fine but our experience was ruined by the manager's attitude. She was very condescending and talked to us like we were stupid borderline insulting !!

    Everything was perfect. From the start (free valet parking) to the end (late evening sipping on delicious marocain tea), everything was just perfect: warm welcome, cozy seating by the kitchen (at the bar), our hostess/waitress was discreet and “attentionnée”, helping choose gluten free meal (and making some needed accommodations, thank you!), tasty and delicious food (don’t miss out on the lamb kebab). I will go back. I will definitely also recommend to my friends to go!

    Fabulous mediterranean food and wonderful staff. One of my favorite places to dine in Montreal. Now that I live here (from NYC) this is a neighborhood go to for a special night out. My only criticism is the level of noise. I love the music selection, but combined with the amount of folks that fill the large space, it becomes challenging to converse. Nevertheless the food and the graciousness and warmth of the staff makes up for that concern. My personal recommendations although you can't go wrong with anything you order; The chopped salad with tahini vinaigrette is an amazing salad. Also the giant lamb kebab is perfection.

    My experience at Ayla was fantastic. The service was amazing, super friendly staff, we weren't sure what to order, based off what we like they helped us choose some amazing plates. The service was quick, the drinks were fantastic and the food was top notch. I absolutely loved my first time experience at Ayla and I can't wait to go back!

    Everything was perfection. The food, the service and the ambiance. We were 6 so we ordered a large variety of items from both the appetizer and mains menu. Each dish was delicious and perfect in flavour and presentation. For dessert don ’t miss the steamed date pudding!!! Our guests loved Ayla. It’s not our first time and now our friends can’t wait to go back! Latifa and Alli took fantastic care of us! Easily one if the best restaurants in Montreal.

    Food was outstanding, had the mezzo platter and the dips were delicious, the cauliflower is a must order and had the whole branzino, with superb crisp skin and delicious flaky meat. Great experience. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Lovely evening
