I hadn't been to Aziza in a few years even though I live nearby. Friend suggested we go there and I'm glad she did, everything from our cocktails to our appetizers to our mains and even dessert were absolutely delicious. Service staff was top notch, almost too solicitous.

We have enjoyed Aziza over the years. It was still quite good, particularly the favorites, but was not as exceptional as it used to be. It is a trek that used to be worth making, but unless one is in the Sunset there are superior options elsewhere in the city.

Food is very good, extremely flavorful, Moroccan inspired but really all over the map. The lamb was extremely tender and the basteeya was on point. The desserts are extremely creative and delicious. It's got a romantic ambiance but is a bit noisy. Also the price point is about 20% higher than I'd expect for a place like this, so get ready for your wallet to take a pounding.

The food was great, as was the service. However, the entrees were pricey and small. For $32, I got four little cubes of chicken! The noise level was very high, sadly, due to a noisy group of three men sitting at at table behind me. Would not go back.

My family came here a couple years ago and had a delicious tasting menu. This time the food was just very average and there was no real tasting menu. Instead they offer a selection from the a la carte menu to create a family-style tasting experience but you are at the mercy of the chef..

Yummy food and fantastic mixed drinks, but the drinks were the most memorable. The place is small so you can hear everyone, but the crowd was not loud this evening. The windows were tinted blue except the front one, making the room very bright. We shared the hummus spreads and they were all very good. The short ribs were tasty but were not hot. I had the pastry with the duck inside. It was my favorite. The pastry was nice a flaky, and the duck stuffing was hot.

This was sixth or seventh time here and definitely the worst. I was really excited to have my bday dinner here based on my past experiences with the restaurant. Not sure what happened, but the food was average and the service was bad. Pretty disappointing for a place of this caliber. I don't think I will be back.

The bastilla is sensational and the food is very fine. The portions for the price are a bit small, and the wine by the glass pours are very light. That is my only complaint as the flavors are bold and creative. If the wine pour were normal, I would raise the rating to five stars.

Not all I remember. The basteeya with duck was better years ago with chicken - more flavor. The spreads were sumptuous, and the beet salad delicious. So we had an excellent meal, with great service, but probably even better years ago. But then my memory can be fading . . .

Best characterized by expensive without any value. Their fancy drinks were closely associated with Kool-Aid! The plates appeared interesting but had little taste, not to mention very small servings. No bread or any little "extras" were offered. For these prices there are many restaurants in San Francisco that offer superb food, this is not one of them. There are also many, many San Francisco restaurants that are at least 20% cheaper that offer far better food. The restaurant itself has become seedy, for example, the flooring in the main dining room saw its prime years ago, it is simply worn out! Never again!

Food was sooo dilicious, out of this world. But only problem is that being an upscale restaurant the serving sizes are too small. All fancy but small helpings. Or may be it were just us because we loved the food so much that we were looking for a lot more. On serious note yes we were not very happy with the servings but this is a place I would recommend to my friends to go at least once.

Took my girl to Aziza and honestly was a little bit let down -- the portions were small and overpriced. Food was quality ingredients and cooked with skill but I was disappointed in the lack of menu options and ultimately in the lack of flavor in the meals we received. We got the spread plate which was tasty but my entre of lamb was really bland and disappointing.

Have dined at Aziza a few times. The latest experience was the least excited. First, we ordered two cocktails, all named after vegetables, are very sweet. The syrup shadows all the ingredients of the cocktail. The menu of Aziza is very limited, 5 entrees. Then, the server told us one of the entrees was not available. It was 8pm on Friday night. I don't know what would they serve at 11pm. Two of us shared an appetizer and each of us had the entree. The spread had three spreads plus the flatbread. The flatbread was crisp with the aroma of the herbs. The eggplant spread was smooth but lack of the smoky favor from the eggplant. The yogurt-dill was refreshing and the tahnin was the best amount all three. The spread was smooth and sweet but not overpowered. The nutty finish elevated the spread perfectly with the flatbread. The short rib was not available so I had the chicken roulade and my friend had the cod. The chicken was tender but very bland. It cried for some S&P. The baby kale and the herb butter did not provide enough help to the dish. The cod was perfectly cooked but the dish was also on the bland side. This experience indicated that the owner put the origin restaurant to auto-pilot and it hurts its performance. The service was impeccable. I will give Aziza another shot since I had so many good experience with them. I hope the owner will be able to find a good help to run this place. However, they really need to jazz up the menu. Otherwise, people will forget this poor sister of Mourad.

7:30pm rez. Our hostess initially tried to seat us in the front room next to a couple with a small child. We quietly objected and asked to be reseated, but the doting parents got openly huffy. The hostess handled the situation expertly. Peace reigned. The food was very good -- delicious, attractively presented, and well described by servers. Great variety of appetizers, short list of entrees. Pleasant ambiance, though nothing special. It became very noisy (de rigueur in SF) as the evening progressed. Note: $25 corkage. Enjoy.

High quality ingredients, expertly prepared. Wasn't a single thing we ordered that we didn't enjoy. Portions are perfect, if you are looking for healthy portion sizes - i.e. Not the standard oversized American portions that are truly more than you should eat. Place is quiet and service is very good. We had questions about ingredients we didn't know and the server was extremely well versed in how each item was prepared and what all the ingredients were. Would highly recommend!

The cocktails were very fun. Well balanced. I never had a cocktail made with Laphroaig, and I was pleasantly surprised. The pastry with the duck and raisins was very delicious, and the cod was very tender and well flavored. I will definitely go back, for cocktails and/or dinner, both were equally satisfying.

Food is wonderful: very creative food inspired by Moroccan roots but developed into something completely different and refined. A true modern re-invention of some traditional classics of Moroccan cuisine. Everything is extremely well prepared; every course a surprising mix of flavors. Highly recommended.

My husband and I went to Aziza with our friends and were greeted and escorted to our table quickly. The experience went downhill from there. We placed our order within the first 10 minutes. The portions were extremely small and we had to wait for almost an hour after the appetizers to get our main course. The rest of the tables were also sitting without their food for a very long time. In a nutshell. I was embarrassed that I suggested this place and then a bad service and long waiting time ruined our evening.
