Our server seemed to be under the influence of something. Spoke very slow and could not focus. Adult beverages were not as ordered and food was not what we were used to as regular customers. Probably will not return nor recommend.

Great food as always. The service was a little slow today (St Patrick's Day) and it was early (5pm), so maybe more servers were working later. Our waitress was great, but in the weeds for a little bit as she got sat with 3 table within about 10 minuters (not her fault). We had to wait a short bit for drinks, but no biggie as we weren't in a hurry. This location is always busy so it's kind of expected. Overall, it was great dinner.

The server (DEAN) was amazing, but the food (flavor wise) was not worth the money (in my opinion). Super fresh seafood but the flavor was a 2/10 on the flavor scale.... very disappointing. The cocktails were very good but that was the only high light. I ordered the redfish that came with the sherry cream sauce super super bland). i had fried green tomatoes (nothing to write home about), my Fiancé had the salmon (he didnt say anything about it... he usually comments if he really likes it. it said it was just ok. we had high hopes for the food because someone recommended it to us, but i know we will not be returning.

I reserved a table for 7 on New Year's Eve to celebrate my Mom's 73rd and Grandma's 93rd Birthdays. There was a very brief acknowledgement of Grandma, but not Mom. The waitress didn't really seem to into her job tonight. Not much smiling and kind of meh. The food, as always, was outstanding. The place wasn't very busy considering that it was 12-31 at 7pm. 2 complete strangers made a bigger deal out of the Birthdays than the staff did. I'll be returning to Babin's again, just not for a special occasion.

The quality of the food has really declined in the past few years. I know that it is a chain but it used to be decent. Now the gumbo was watered down roux with a few shrimp floating in it. Even the kid's mac and cheese tasted flavorless and watered down. Disappointing. I get trying to increase profit margins but you've ruined your product.

Thanksgiving special was just adequate. Dressing had little flavor and gravy was not good. Waitress was very attentive. Seafood dishes were good. I was very disappointed that there was no child price for the Thanksgiving dinner. $30 for an 8 year old is too much. I will do Thanksgiving at a different restaurant next time but we did enjoy the seafood and the drinks.

Great location (right in front of Main Event). Excellent staff. We had 3 different people look after us (our server, a manager and someone how previously served us on a different visit). Food was delicious and the drinks a tasty. It was our 5th wedding anniversary and we decided to come to Babin's instead of our usual anniversary spot (Del Frisco's Double Eagle on Westheimer). Babin's is closer to our home and a really great value. They comped our dessert, which was really awesome of them. Fun and memorable night and experience.

I celebrated my birthday there and I was greeted by our server Theresa who was superb! My family enjoyed the food!! It was our first time dining there. We plan to come there again. Great atmosphere, wonderful service and delicious food.

First, there was a water leak when entering the restaurant that was all over the main corridor. The service was good and our waitress was friendly and attentive. I had a Diet Coke that tasted off. I had reviewed the menu online before going and it said that they have the lunch menu every day until 4pm (we went at 11:45am). But we were given the dinner menu and dinner menu prices. I had the crawfish half and half and my guest had the shrimp and grits. Both the shrimp and crawfish were tiny and disappointing. I understand the hard economic times and cutting back and rising prices but the food was disappointing and sadly I will be reticent to return anytime soon.

The food was not good at all, everyone from our 3 party table was feeling quit ill afterward. The green beans tasted like rubber, the red beans and rice were the worst we had ever tasted and the crab cakes were indescribable, my husband actually spit his out it was so disgusting. Our server was very energetic and very talkative, almost too much as we couldn't hold a conversation without him interrupting. But he was very prompt and helpful with the menu options. However due to the poor quality of food we will not be returning to a Babin's restaurant again.

Table for four all eating from the Houston Restaurant Week menu. One couple got their appetizers and waited for us to get ours. We told them to go ahead and eat. Soon after, all four entrees were served. Where are our appetizers, I asked. The server said, "I didn't know that you wanted any appetizers". While the food was good, that experience was not. We ended up getting our appetizers bagged to take home. There was no compensation offered for botching the order.

They seem to be going along with the 'raise prices and cut portions' trend. Several in our party ordered fish (which most have ordered the exact same before here) and we received significantly smaller portions. Excellent service with a large party though.

It was our anniversary, and it was great. Everyone was very friendly, and our waitress was great. Everyone helped each other so our turnaround time was excellent. Food was hot and tasted amazing. I could go every day and there are so many menu selections, you will not get bored. It was very clean and not very loud. Thanks for making it a great night.
