Like the bustling taverns of Venice, Bàcaro Urban Pizzeria is all about making our clients feel at home or, shall we say, in our home, Italy.
The Venetian bácaros have always been a unique meeting place for friends, usually a small humble restaurant serving simple and good food, young local wines- the ideal place to drink a glass of wine and grab a bite to eat while chatting the day or night away. Patrons of the bacaro enjoy an 'ombretta', a glass of wine, with some homemade Italian specialties such as wood burning oven pizzas and baked pastas.

    Highly recommend the burrata appetizer with focaccia. Lori was an excellent waitress, and the pizza was Neapolitan style as I like it.

    Même si nous avions une réservation, quand nous sommes arrivés, aucune table n'était disponible. Nous avons dû attendre qu'une table de libère (environ 15 minutes). C'Était le cas aussi pour 2 autres groupes de 2 personnes qui avaient aussi des réservations.

    They confirmed my patio reservation at 4pm & somehow lost it by the time of my reservation (7pm) service was terrible & how the owner addressed it was, we had a large last minute group & donated 50 pizza’s which set the stage for a 3 hour event. It took them 35 minutes to come back after seating us to take our drink order which only arrived another 30 minutes later, so sitting there without any water or bread to nibble on with a hungry child. Then when they brought the wine they didn’t bring the Shirley temple for the child & when asked about it, they said the drink came from the bar!!!!!! 🤔 last I checked, wine & grenadine are both bar products. Took them another 35 minutes to bring out 2 cesser salads & 1 calamari & anther 35 minutes for a side of bacon. The owner came out 3 times to ask a group of 6 elderly ladies if everything was ok, but my table, right across the way & facing him, he never paid attention to. Our waitress never even came around to ask either. Honestly the food was good but everything in respect to service was very McDonald’s. I e been to way cheaper restaurants with way better service. A friend of mine who is a regular referred me & also noticed major changes in the menu & service, so it’s looking like they ran the sprint & not the marathon.

    Bouffe et service excellents! Mon seul bémol, musique trop forte mais la gentille serveuse l'a fait baisser un peu. Quelques changements au menu cette semaine, bien hâte d'aller essayer ça!

    J’aime vraiment beaucoup ce restaurant! Bon choix de vin au verre et de bières, bon choix d’entrées excellentes, option sans gluten disponible et excellent service. Comme partout la facture a augmenté mais on y va tout de même, juste moins souvent.

    Always good ; we love Bacaro. You know the food will be good, you know you will get outstanding service, you know the manager will pass by to check on you. Ewe adopted that place not so long ago and now it has to be a weekly recurrence. 💕

    The food there is pretty good, we order often. We went in for lunch and the service was pretty slow though. We asked for a glass of rose wine, which was really warm. When we asked to make it colder, we received a bowl of ice cubes. Our water glasses were not filled often.

    Went there for the first time since I moved to south shore. I was delighted by the service of the waitress and speedy food delivery. The restaurant was not too noisy and we had a superb time. We will be coming back. Thank you! 😍

    Sachant qu'il n'y avait presque personne dans le resto, le service a été extrêmement long. Lorsque nous avons demandé à notre serveuse elle nous a dit que le resto avait beaucoup de commande pour emporter. Nous avons donc été très déçus de voir que la cliente sur place devaient attendre pour cette raison. De plus, de voir et d'entendre le proprio frapper sur je ne sais quoi et faire du bruit alors qu'il se fâchait contre un cuisiner.... Pas très agréable pour la clientèle. Surtout que mon conjoint m'a mentionné que ce n'était pas la première fois. Il a déjà été témoin de d'autres épisodes dans le passé. Nous avons donc décidé de ne plus encourager ce restaurant. C'était notre dernière visite.

    Our second visit; we are very happy to have found Bacaro. The ambiance reminds us of a big family party, the staff is very friendly and attentive to everyone’s needs. The food is always delicious, and we love all the little complements (the bloody Cesar is served with a pizza bite, the pasta comes with garlic bread, the pizza comes with spicy oil and spicy bruschetta topping…). In the restaurant, There’s a banquettes section, a group section, a nice counter/bar area, a gelato serving station, a super busy to-go prep station: it’s a tiny place but it is so versatile. We are Definitely going to become regulars !

    La nourriture est délicieuse! On a pris l’arancini, bruschetta, cannellonis, pizza margherita et gin et tonic a la framboise c’etait tres bon! Le bruschetta est sur un panini avec fromage grille et tomates en tranches.

    No one greeted us when we walked in, waited for at least 5 mins at the door without being acknowledged before one of the staff came and asked how many we are. After that, service was okay. We waited quite for a while for our food, we saw the table next to ours complaining about it and even though they came sat down after us. Food was just okay.
