    We had a lovely Chef’s choice but no service after that at all. Staff having a drink at the bar and vacuuming. It was only 9pm. We wanted desserts and tea and coffee and presumed you did not serve those things. Left around 9.30 after waiting 1/2 hr for further service. Figured Manager away for the long weekend and staff did not care two hoots. Will probably not be back.

    A great place to share an informal meal with friends. Tapas serves generous. One dish a dud - braised lamb should be reviewed by chef!

    Bar Amelie has the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the great food they serve. We particularly enjoy the duck but there are no bad choices. We love having lunch here before walking around Subiaco to visit some of our favourite shops.

    The vegetarian food was disappointing! But everything else was lovely. The music, vibes, open space & service was all great. I’d go back for a drink rather than for dinner.

    Food was great, the main food came at the same time as the dips and bread and we would have preferred to have time to eat that first and then have a gap before everything else came. The food was not very hot as because we waited to eat it after the dips it wasn’t hot at all. Lovey experience overall thank you

    Delicious food. Great range of options on the menu, all simple and really fresh. Will definitely be back. Lovely ambience and feel. Wasn't overly noisy or crowded.

    This was my third visit to Bar Amelie, and it did not disappointment. The staff is always attentive and very knowledgeable with both food and drinks. The food is delicious, with a great selection. I will definitely return.

    Service was prompt and very friendly and coeliac and gf aware Main courses lacked creativity and generally the product didn’t live up to expectations We were unsure how you are supposed to share a duck leg as the restaurant advised us that the dishes were meant to share The side given for the food were too small Overall we enjoyed our night but wouldn’t return

    One of our favourite spots for a delicious, convenient meal out ... so much so that we want to introduce Bar Amelie to friends by holding a family celebration there in the not too distant future. Staff are always welcoming and accommodating and you can hear yourself think – one of our pet hates is eating in a venue where the music overwhelms all attempts at conversation.

    Had a lovely Sunday morning brunch with friends. Seating in the booths was very cosy and atmosphere relaxed, staff welcoming. Well chosen range of brunch dishes, something to suit everyone. Recommended!

    Love Amelie, it is a regular meeting place for myself and our eldest son who works in Subiaco to have lunch. Lots of gluten free options (I'm coeliac so very important). Lovely setting, super friendly helpful staff. Food is delicious but it is quite expensive for such tiny portions. Nice wine selection and great coffee. Will definitely visit again.

    We had the Chefs choice for $40. Heaps of food-all delicious! Stand outs were the arancini and the lamb with lentils. Tempura batter on the whiting was incredibly light and crunchy. Service was casual, friendly and efficient. Music was at a low volume to create ambience -not noise. This is my second meal at Bar Amelie in 2 months (first was high tea) and I can’t wait to go back for a third!!

    Well priced menu, mocktail was $16 which is steep. Food was great. Service was polite but team was busy so we had to catch their eye a couple of times. Give the brûlée a miss. Too small so gets overcooked. Duck and smoked chicken mains were amazing.

    Excellent food and great service. It was our 2nd visit and it was just as good as the first. The Chef’s selection is fabulous and more than enough for 4 hungry people!!

    The ambience, food and wine list was good. Our wait staff were helpful. Our biggest issue was our used plates weren’t cleared before our next course of food came out. They couldn’t put the food down until they had cleared the tables. Then they had to get us clean plates and cutlery to eat the next course with. Our used wine glasses weren’t taken away either. The staff were good, but could have been better. Otherwise I would recommend Bar Amalie and I’ll go back again sometime. When it was Bistro Felix this was our favourite restaurant. The head wait staff Liezl always made us feel very welcome and would remember what we liked to drink and would remember our names. Even after we’d only been there a couple of times she started welcoming us as if we were close friends or family. One of our group of 9 on Friday had been there a few times and had bot the name of one of your staff but there was no welcome or recognition from the staff member. Perhaps some extra customer service training would be worthwhile.

    Great night out at Bar Amelie!! We had the chefs special and the duck fat potatoes. The food was delicious and we all walked away full! Service was fantastic, couldn’t have asked for more - helpful suggestions, super friendly and very efficient.

    Great venue. The grazing platters and drinks were excellent, service outstanding. Only negative was the noise level, maybe too many hard surfaces..maybe they could look at the acoustics? Will try again another time.

    High tea was delicious. Plenty of Prosecco- didn’t have to ask for a refill. Chef catered for gluten free, vegetarian and pescatarian dietary requirements. Staff were friendly and polite. Booth seating was very comfortable and private. Would recommend and will definitely be going back!!

    We loved this restaurant and will be back. Prawns were perfect. Potatoes and pumpkin were delicious. Cocktails and mocktails were excellent. The ambiance was good. Service was outstanding. Only tip was that the trio of Creme Broulee could be smoother. Thanks for a lovely evening!

    A huge shout out to a member of staff who noted that our party had gluten free diners and ESPECIALLY pointed out that a dish we had ordered contained gluten. Sadly, the menu incorrectly indicates it is GF! It was our much anticipated second visit. The food wasn't as amazing this time. Still a good place though.

    My partner and I had a wonderful last minute dinner last night. The food was fantastic and the waiter service friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. My only suggestion is more coffee in their tiramisu.

    Started out fabulously, with someone ringing in the afternoon, saying “can we please seat you inside as rain is expected?”- amazingly considerate and great service and my expectation was that, that level would continue, however, we were seated with menus and tap water and not asked for our order for another 15 minutes- missed opportunity for serving drinks. The tap water was revolting and I requested sparkling… ( capi soda water arrived- not mineral water) it was delivered and was plonked on our table. I then had to ask for fresh glasses, as the tap water was still relatively untouched in our glasses. I then had to ask for the tap water bottle to be removed, as it was a tiny table and there would have been no room for food. The food was good, but I was disappointed that the salmon, which was cured nicely in beetroot, was topped with store bought seaweed and pickled sushi ginger- chopped iceberg with dressing would have been preferable. The drinks however were amazing and had the service been a little better, we would have cheerfully drunk our way through the menu.. The icing on the cake, was that because the tables were so close together, the body odour from the adjacent table was assaulting our noses and took away our appetites, we elected not to have dessert. This apart from the tables proximity was in no way the bar’s fault! The dessert menu looked good, and reasonably priced. I’m hoping these are teething problems and would probably give it another go, for the drinks, if nothing else.
