We hosted a dinner for friends from BC who have travelled with us to Barcelona and Mexico. We were amazed at the quality of the food and ambience. The octopus was so good, and perfectly charred. The cauliflower and Brussell sprout tapas excellent. Shrimp dish was plentiful and delicious. The sauce was mopped up with home made artisanal bread.

Service was abysmal. Food was served late, and we had to ask what why our food was taking over an hour to get to us. After asking, we were given a pretty weak excuse. I work in the hospitality industry and it is common knowledge and practice to let your customers know if and when food will be late. Before this visit I ALWAYS left this place wanting more, it incredible. This time however was the opposite. I was left very disappointed..

I really enjoyed the food it was delicious and A LOT to chose from. I am celiac and the amount of gluten free food for me to eat was great!! Definitely going back.

We sat outside on a beautiful evening so that was lovely. Food was mostly great (steak, cauliflower, shrimp, beet salad) but the Brussel sprouts were a little over cooked.

Had and octopus and shrimp Dish price so over priced it was unbelievable. But if quality is there I don't mind to pay, but in this case the octopus was rubber shrimp dish for what I paid was a joke in the amount and service was brutal. Inside the restaurant had a horrible smell

I’ve been to Bar Catalina 3 times but my last visit was not as satisfying as the 2 previous ones. The paellas were too salty and was too hard for us to even swallow. My aunt didn’t finish hers after a few bites. I was disappointed cos it was her birthday and I was excited to take her there.

It was a Sunday nite 630 reservation. 6 people. Last four orders at 715. We wanted to do Taoas - try a few, order more but since they were closing. at 8 so we were rushed. Had to order all at once. Warm beer, lots of wine on wine list unavailable. Food was good - the servers were nice but def wanted us gone….

Had both the seafood and the meat (Valenciana) paella. Both were underwhelming. The paella was extremely greasy, with the rice seemingly fried without actually being cooked. Would also have been nice to have one on the menu with chorizo. There was a loud birthday party 2 feet from our table with screaming children, which ruined the ambiance. The churros were also greasy and too crunchy for my liking. Service was fine as was the decor.

Went with my family for my birthday dinner and we had a Greta time! Excellent service, the waitress was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great! My new favourite place!

The ambience and service was very good. We ordered the ham croquettes and the brussel sprouts (really a vegetable side) as starters and were happy with both. My friend’s Cornish hen was very good, but I was underwhelmed with the seafood paella. 3 shrimp and 5or 6 small clams on rice. Not sure where the monkfish was. The shrimp and clams were perfectly cooked - plump and juicy - but I did find the rice a little too salty for my taste. If I go back I would try the traditional paella instead.

Had a delicious selection of their tapas. The asparagus was phenomenal. The croquettes were pillowy soft. Really enjoyed the Toledo cocktail as well. A small venue with room for maybe 20 diners at a time but this kept the atmosphere communal almost. Would recommend for a nice night out with friends or for a special occasion.

The paella was a bit salty but was still delicious along with the other food. The grilled octopus was cooked to perfection and I don't think I've ever had a really amazing churro! Will definitely be back.

All dishes were cooked to perfection. Transported you to Spain without the cost of flight and hotel. Hostess and server was very helpful and attentive. Apps were excellent, especially the octopus was cooked to perfection. Mains and sides were excellent. We could not decide on dessert and ordered all 3 that were available. Each were a 10 on its own making very difficult to choose a favourite. Your taste buds will thank you for the meal.

It was our first time at Catalina’s despite the good taste of the food it took close to one hour for our dinner to reach our table! Not even biscuits or bread to nib to make it for the long wait! It could have made a difference. Cozy and small but if you want a more intimate setting that’s not for you once you can hear each other’s conversations.

awesome place. The Iberian ham was magnificent, and the compact environment gives you a comfortable atmosphere. Great place, our waitress recommended a cake that is off the menu, which was the perfect treat after the big dinner, the paella Valenciaga was a bit salty, otherwise a great experience

Great ambience and music. Paella was one of the best I ever had. The sour dough with tomatoes was very fresh but lacked flavour. Salt and pepper would have helped. Croquettes were fabulous. I’ll be back!
