   Great food, service and atmosphere. We loved it. We've eaten upstairs several times, but honestly, I thought the atmosphere and staff were far better at Centrale. We would definitely go back.

   Normally Bar Centrale is a nice place to visit and have a conversation (as opposed to Terroni which is always energetic, bustling and noisy). However, on this day it was very noisy and we were sandwiched in at a table between two loud groups. We should have asked for a different table. Otherwise we had a great lunch and terrific experience.

    The food was delicious. We really wanted to stay and order dessert and coffee but the service was extremely slow and we felt we had been abandoned. The server had been great but maybe had too many tables or the kitchen was slow? Either way, we would have appreciated a heads up or a check in. Not sure we will go back soon although it might just have been a bad night.

    When a couple of friends decide to meet for an impromptu coffee and bites, I knew Bar Centrale was going to satisfy. Our meetup was at 3, in a gorgeous sunny day and I had visions of a espresso macchiato accompanied by scoops of gelato. My friends were late lunching and the menu had lots to choose from for them as well. Quiet and special, the place is just a gem in a neighborhood that has its fair share of pretense. As usual, the attentive staff and the casual excellence of the experience made for just the perfect kickoff to a season of outings.

    Bar Centrale is the perfect "neighbourhood bar" where everyone will know your name if you go a couple of times. Fantastic bar staff, beautiful decor, laid back but fun vibe. Lots of different seating options - bar, tables, cosy booths, window seats. Highly recommend.

    I have come to Bar Centrale many times for lunch, dinner, and get a croissant and cappuccino. I am yet to try the brunch menu. I will be doing that shortly! I have not had a bad experience here. I would like to begin with the ambience. I LOVE the bar setting, live music (at times), and the cozy tables. My favourit spot happens to be the corner table, on the right hand, close to the street. The ambience is warm, cozy, romantic, classy, elegant, and fun. I love that the space is small. The food is always fresh, delicious, and authentically Italian. I do appreciate the Italian experience. One of the desserts to die for is the flourless, warm, chocolate cake! One bite out of that and you feel yourself melting into a special place! And the drinks are always made to perfection. I will continue to return to Bar Centrale. It has become one of my favourite spots in Toronto.

    We were lucky enough to be there on one of the Monday jazz nights! Perfect ambience with pizza and a glass of wine, post fitness. The place was packed (in a good way!) and I felt like I was in NYC.

    I have had meals for years at Terroni on Queen Street West. This was my first time dining at Bar Centrale. I appreciated the ambience with the bar and intimate space. The food was fine, but not outstanding. In all the years I dined at Terroni on Queen, I never had to ask for bread to be brought to the table. But at Bar Centrale I had to ask. Terroni/Sud Forni is the only place I buy bread and I live in Mississauga. I drive to Toronto for the bread. So it was disappointing that you did not bother to give us bread. The dessert came in the jar that I see at Sud Forno. It looked like it was just taken out of the fridge and placed on my plate at the table. I love the ambience, but I am not sure about the service.

    We were there twice this week - lunch and dinner. Their menue has changed and the food is fabulous. It’s always been a fun place with really good vibes and great service but now with the new menue it’s a five star for sure!

    The food and service were excellent! Everyone was attentive, the food was portioned and presented well, and, as a former bartender, the drinks were a delicious addition to the dining experience. Bar Centrale will become one of my more regular spots now.

    I much prefer Bar Centrale to the upstairs. The choices on the menu are excellent, really outstanding and original food and the wine list is fantastic. Waiters are all great. Very efficient, friendly and attentive. Ambiance is great. You can actually engage in a nice, intimate conversation and hear yourself talk. No hesitation in recommending Bar Centrale.
