They said they were open online I made a reservation and they were closed
Food was good.
Our table had a cold draft so that was a bit distracting.
Service was not welcoming, e.g. did not welcome us to the restaurant, did not talk about the dinner (the set dinner, when food was presented just said what it was and left), we received eyerolls at our requests, no one said goodbye to us when we left (there were 7 other people in the restaurant when we left so it is possible to at least say goodbye). This was somewhat off-putting as we were there celebrating and with bad service, we no longer felt to be in a celebratory mood.
This is my third time here and probably my last due to service (each time it did not feel welcoming or friendly).
It was a very nice atmosphere. I loved the dim lighting and the music. I had reserved standard seating but was seated at a high top table so that is my only complaint. The food was very good and the wine was delicious. It was pretty expensive, but I would go again and try a different appetizer and main course. I went on a Sunday so they were serving the bread and cheese dip, duck, and tart. The bread and cheese dip was underwhelming, it was my first time trying duck and it was really good but a bit in the salty side, and the tart was beyond amazing. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a peaceful relaxing fancy three course meal. It was a unique lovely experience I’m glad I went!
Menu was about to be updated, so most of their food items were unavailable.
Considering I had a reservation at dinner time, I think it's reasonable to expect advance notice. Cocktails were wonderful as always, but this was my first disappointing experience at Clementine.
Clementine is a favourite place for cocktails and lovely food. Excellent service, cozy atmosphere and fantastic cocktails never fail to please.
Fantastic cocktails! Great selection to choose from.
Place has poor ventilation so you will smell when you leave or get home... also was asked to leave due to a reso even though I was still buying drinks.
Going to Clementine I knew not to expect large portions which was ok as it was our first stop of the night. Hubby and I both had two drinks- a cocktail and hubby had a glass of wine and I had a glass of champagne. He didn’t love either of his drinks and the orange wine tasted and smelled corked. My cocktail was ok. A really bitter finish when I had asked for something sweet. The champagne was good.
We also had 3 appies.
The oysters were good but only came with lemon and hot sauce (kind of boring usually they come with some sort of vinaigrette or sauce) the potatoes were good and the sour dough flat bread was burnt. I actually had a bite and didn’t eat anymore. The portions were small which was fine and expected but the quality was the biggest disappointment.
The place is pretty though and the service was reasonably good.
The ambience is more bar like than energetic fine dinning
Very tiny space, poor menu, we had to sit on the high chairs for 2 hrs because not more then 10 people could fit at the regular tables. The cocktails were ok, nothing sensational!
As always, the food and drinks were excellent!
Yes for drinks & vibes but eat beforehand. "Charcuterie Plate" was just a little pile of deli meat and nothing else.
Mark was attentive and knowledgeable and took to banter with husband. Gorgeous and cozy but also it was not busy. Ordered the potatoes and the brownie so safe choices. Beautiful texture and freshness also bonus use of local jacek choc I. The brownie. Great glimpses of bar tend work
Super jazz music.
Food was awesome. Came here for a birthday and enjoyed awesome drinks. Our server was great at recommending drinks to try as well as “surprise drinks”. We wish there was more food options as it seemed to be limited in the repertoire options (6 snack options). Overall our experience was great and we will be back again to try more drinks!
Upon walking in for our reservation the restaurant smelled terrible like a "greasy spoon". We debated even ordering food considering the stench but had been excited to try clementine as we were visiting from out out of town and it being awarded #9 on Canadas top 100 restaurants. We were seated by the window which was very cold and drafty so we had to keep our jackets on most of the time.
We had 3 of the cocktails; they were awesome. The food was okay (tried 6 items).
The next day our clothes and jackets still smelled awful. We were very disappointed in our experience considering the restaurant award and the many positive reviews.
Clementine is a great spot for cocktails! Wonderful ambiance, creative bartenders, and a fully stocked bar including exotic options.
Delicious absinthe and cocktails. The crispy potatoes are a must.
We went on a Saturday expecting to have a r nice evening with delicious food. Instead we found out it was sandwich night. We were not told this when we made the reservation. We could choose from 3 types of sandwiches and a side of salad, soup or chips. No appetizers were available to have before hand. Not a typical Saturday evening meal! More a lunch menu or perhaps a Tuesday, Wednesday evening meal. Hard to pair a nice bottle of wine with sandwiches, especially when wine prices were $65.00 and up. Food was fine but not memorable. Cocktails were good and service was attentive. Not sure if I would return.
High end cocktails and tapas bar. Small, cozy yoo wont be disappointed
Wine and cocktails were exceptional, will absolutely be back. Gorgeous room!
It was lovely, intimate, comforting, and simply delicious. Thank you for a great service. We did no drink a lot but the selection and creations of cocktail and foods were nothing to complain about. We shall make our return shortly soon. Thank you.
I had a party here with around 20 people dropping in and out throughout the evening. The service was impeccable, even with that burden; the cocktails and food were delicious. I highly recommend.
Took a friend here Tuesday for her birthday - $9 cocktail specials with really great drink options - the Last Word was my favourite from the ones I tried! Menu is limited and plates are small, but was nice to share a couple plates with our drinks - the flatbread in particular was lovely though I'd pass on the charcuterie. When we got a dessert they brought it out with a candle in it which was a great touch, our waitress was fantastic throughout the night offering suggestions on drinks and food. The bar is also beautifully decorated and they have the music at a level you can easily converse. Definitely planning on returning! Parking is street and fills up fast, the bar itself also fills up fast so recommend a reservation!
We have been here a number of times for various occasions. Clementine is our got to bar for when we have friends come visit. It has such a cozy, relaxing feel with great personable service. The drinks always deliver as does the food.
The oysters were a fail. The mignonette had salt added and wasn't balanced with acid, so it overwhelmed them. Also, they came dressed so they were all ruined..
And it's noisy.
Otherwise no complaints, lovely food and good drink selection and execution.
The level of professionalism and consistency is second to none.
5 star is a really difficult to achieve rating, however this place is reasonably within that environment.
Great cocktail bar. The food is delicious and the cocktails are so yummy. I like the lively atmosphere and the staff is clearly very committed to unobtrusive but careful service. We always come on Tuesdays for the classic cocktail night.
Tough to top the excellence in craftsmanship of their cocktails
Great experience all together, food was great. Server had extensive knowledge and great recommendations.
My second time there and so much fun! We really appreciated the bartender using his creativity and making something for us :)
Some of the dishes were outstanding and one was a miss. Serving sizes were definitely on the small size. Cocktails were excellent!
The cocktails were fantastic, the appetizer we had was tasty but small for the price point. The place is cozy and welcoming, unfortunately you can’t hear the person across from you as it was VERY LOUD.
Excellent food, excellent service. Really great to go somewhere where people take passion in their work. Highly recommend.
Food was excellent, service was slow. Waited almost 15 minutes after we arrived before anyone came to our table. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived, only about 6 people altogether inside and out.
Waiters were helpful and friendly enough when they came around.
Appears like the menu was written by a chef who was practicing in culinary language skills. It was interesting to try and figure out just what they were serving in layman terms! We eat out lots and this one really was an eye opener......a little over the top in our estimation.
Great cocktails, snacks were very good, we will be back
The staff was super rude. We were a party of six and had drinks and ordered every single dish on the menu- the first waitress was ok but her shift ended and she left without saying anything and the fellow who took over was down right rude. The drinks took forever we had to go to the bar to ask for another round and the food was just ok. With all the awesome places to eat and drink in Edmonton I wouldn’t waste an evening at this pretentious place. They clearly need to learn some lessons in service.
Unique food and drinks and some of the best service in the city.
Selection of wine by the glass very limited and the prices seemed high
