    Went for breakfast. It's historic, beautiful decor and cozy. Had the salmon bagel (St. V bagel) and wife had omelette. Excellently prepared omelette. Everything was good. Went with our little one (1yr) old too - they provide a high chair and will store the stroller. Check out the 2nd floor for a ton of history on the mansion.

    The best part of the place what the maitre d’hotel Dimitri. My GF has lots of intolerances and he came to see us and created a perfect suggestion for her. The chef realized a perfect gluten, dairy and tomato free breakfast that tested delicious. We will be back for more.

    Excellent cocktails, excellent chips. Far too much lemon in steak tartare, and mushroom confit w/rice had no rice, although mushrooms were well prepared, DJ in bar spinning fairly loud music that seeped into dining room: offputting but not unendurable . Apposite for old wooden room full if charm. Good service.

    The food was perfect, the variety of sweet wines are not to my expectations. the ambience is great but too much noise it didn't feel too classy as it seemed in the pictures online and the ladies at the reception didn't even ask us if we had a reservation and yet we stood at the front for more than 10 minutes from the time of our reservation yet they were taking care of those that had no reservation. lastly the lighting was boring. all in all it wasn't what I expected honestly.

    There's a reason Bar George is one of my favorite places, and I keep going back again and again. Impeccable service, delicious food, and wonderful attention to detail. My only gripe is that they play their music way too loud - I'm more than willing to deal with it though because everything else is simply perfect!

    Décor et architecture spectaculaire. Accueil professionnel. Éclairage mérite amélioration’ un peu trop sombre selon nous. Pour un endroit aussi prestigieux, un code vestimentaire serait requis. Dans l’ensemble nous avons eu une belle expérience.

    I was truly looking forward to the inside wood work and such. However, The restaurant was too hot !!! I booked a reservation for the restaurant ahead of time and the gals kept wanting to sit me in the bar !! I did not want to sit the bar. Maybe I should have because the other side was so HOT ! I was sweating in my seat due to no air condition or broken air condition. The waiter was very pleasant and overworked . The beet salad was good and lovely presentation. However , i WOULD NOT recommend the chicken dish - . Hardly any spring vegetables and the chicken was cut weird - like half of a half of breast . The supreme sauce was weak at best . I did not enjoy the chicken dish at all. The negroni cocktail was very good. So maybe the bar is the best bet. And skip the restaurant

    A BEAUTIFUL OLD RESTAURANT IN OLD HOTEL IN DOWNTOWN MONTREAL. FOOD ALWAYS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN IT IS AROUNGD HOME, BUT ALL IS ALL WAS VERY GOOD.

    Our dinner was a first class experience. The vibe in this historic mansion and exceptional service sets it apart. Our order included their Beef Wellington and the Black Truffle Risotto both of which were excellently prepared. Certainly a bit more pricey but well worth it given the overall experience.

    This is the best spot I have been to in a while The ambience, atmosphere, service and food was outstanding. I had a wonderful evening It is very classy , just wish I made it into the actual bar before it was last call! This is a gem !

    Amazing food and service by Alonso. Had the Burrata with tomatoes and lobster linguine. Spouse had the Hamachi Crudo and Black Truffle Risotto. Shared the Tonka Bean Chocolate for dessert. Definitely recommend!

    It wasn't our first time at BG. I would be glad to say the service has improved. Alas! Very poor welcoming. The hostess was ignoring the incoming customers (there were few other couples waiting like us). She was busy texting! Be aware: BG has a very limited and expensive menu. Unfortunately, the food didn't met are expectations: the pasta were "steeping" in oil, and a "brownish" beef tartare was overdose in capers and mushrooms. The décor is awesome, and probably great for a drink. The restaurant is overprice and overrated. Not sure will we go back.

    Room was beautiful. I recommend the bar area. Service was slow. Cocktails were below average. Food was mediocre. Beef tartare was pre-built and was grey from the acidity. Oysters were a mess. The hot sauce was unbearably hot. Tuna hamachi had good flavour.

    Nice setting but very disappointed in the lobster linguine. Lobster was fine but pasta was not prepared correctly and was stuck together. Not great value on that entree. Service was good and the bottle of Chablis was very enjoyable.

    From the hostess to accompanying us to our table and the service throughout the evening, there isn't anything more to say then it was flawless and cordial. The portions of the dishes were perfect and the quality of the food was excellent as well as the preparation and presentation. Red wine, Valpolicella Ripasso was served at perfect temperature. The indoor parking, $20, is the same ate as external parking in the back [shady area outdoor parking] so I parked indoors. If you come in with a vehicle the size of an Escalade, do so if your driving and parking skills are sharp, very tight parking places as well as tight corners for large vehicles. The crowd was composed of all ages but mainly young adults. All in all, great experience. Definitely a 4x$, but worth it.
