Enjoy an intimate dining experience at Bar Isabel -- a cozy restaurant where creative Spanish-inspired small plate dishes are combined with craft beers, cocktails and an extensive wine list. The restaurant's elegant interior boasts an intriguing blend of soft lighting, curved walls and a beautiful mosaic tile floor.
Managed under the guidance of Maitre d'Hotel Alessandro Pietropaolo, Bar Isabel's menu includes a diverse mix of tapas, cheese, seafood dishes and entrees. Diners rave about the grilled octopus, the cheese platter and the oysters. Treat yourself to some Andalusian cured tuna, with almonds and citrus. For dessert, the Basque cake and sherry cream is a must-try. Bar Isabel is open until 10pm Sunday through Thursday, and extends its closing time to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Simply amazing. Been there several times and can’t wait to get back again ... with friends ... with a date ... everything. Love it!!!!
Absolutely loved the food and the service. They answered all our questions about the menu and provides great suggestions. This was my second time back and would happily go again.
Super great food and wonderful service. Real treat.
Loved the tasting menu. Great recommendation on the wine. Attentive service. Only issue for me was the noise levels, at times it was difficult to carry out a conversation.
One of our favorite restaurants in the world, hope to be back soon!
Amazing as always!
Amazing service, great food and a great experience overall
So much fun! Tapas and share plates, bring your loved ones with you! Thank you for the hospitality.
Amazing food and excellent service. I go to Bar Isabel every time I am in Toronto.
Amazing would definitely go back :)! Can’t get over the tapas
Great food and the service was really good. Would definitely go back.
food and service were excellent. Just was really loud :)
This is my favourite restaurant in Toronto. Always delicious food and the people there are always great!
Great food. And the service was on point! I would definitely return. The iberico ham was delicious along with everything else. But what a special treat that ham was! Omg. Delicious. Croquettes, ceviche, potatas bravas, butter leaf salad, bone marrow, were all great.
Service and ambiance was great. Chris our waiter was attentive, and helpful. However food was mediocre , it flew out of the kitchen and space was tight , 3 of us were dining on a small bistro style , along with multiple tapas. I felt a couple of dishes were so very generous with the olive oil... not in a pleasant way. Presentation needs work.
Food was great, service was great and ambience was great. Would definitely come back or recommend anyone to come there.
The food was great great, but it was not timed out well. The mains arrived while we where still eat our appetizers, so we felt a little rushed.
A culinary experience like no other. Will definitely be back. They also make the perfect martini
Been here more times than we can count and it never disappoints!!
This was my first Valentine’s Day dinner with the love of my life. I dropped off a bottle of champagne earlier in the day as the restaurant allows for a corkage few to be applied to outside bottles-their selection is fantastic, but my girlfriend loves her Veuve. Our experience was phenomenal with the service staff being second to none. The food was exceptional and we both can’t wait to return to try more of the menu. Thank you for an amazing experience; we look forward to celebrating many more memories with you.
Delicious food, excellent wine recommendations and attentive service. As long as you're OK with a noisy night out, I can highly recommend Bar Isabel.
Server would not honour the OpenTable cheque which states that it should be honoured at any OpenTable restaurant. Clarity would be nice.
May be the best tapas place in Toronto.
Food is not cheap but is delicious. Have them order for you and enjoy a tasting menu.
My first time here and with my girl friend. No complaints other than maybe the fact that their Portuguese port wines were special editions and therefore very expensive for one ounce. I would have loved to have a sweet shot of port with that amazing dessert. This is a really picky point though so overall not worth giving them less than a five star for my first time there. I usually do not even write reviews, so for me that says a lot as someone who works in hospitality. A friend recommended the place and I have to say it is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had and I love the combined Iberian style menu. Portuguese and Spanish food from Europe often gets over looked in comparison to French or Italian from my experience, and this place is a must go if you want the pricier but unique side of that area of cuisine.
Had a wonderful time. Great ambience, great stage, great food. We tried a few different dishes. Potatoes, mushrooms, olives, ceviche all of which were amazing. Wine, Isabel fashioned, barragana and ottos jacket... drinks were all great as well.
Unfortunately we did not experience any service. It took forever to get served and then they forgot something delivered it later but wrong - in sum a loveless experience....
My friend experienced it differently before she went many times and was very disappointed, too
Absolutely delicious. One of my favourite restaurants in toronto. Our server was completely non-judgemental when I told her I wanted to get a lower priced bottle of wine in order to order extra delicious food. The tomato on toast is the most underrated simple thing on the menu. Soooooooooo good. Will 100% go again.
Bustling restaurant with good and sometimes great food. Very loud which makes an intimate experience difficult. Wait staff were good if a bit rushed. We didn't order off the menu instead we identified what we couldn't eat and they brought us a nice mix of plates/tastes.
But...the rate of new dishes was seemingly a new dish or 3 every 6 minutes or so making it all a bit rushed. In addition, there were 3 of us at a table for 2 so if you need 3 seats I would actually book 4 so you get a proper table.
It was exceptional in every way!
The food was superb! Our server is very knowledgeable and took care of us. Cannot say anything bad for this one. Will definitely come back!
The food and cocktails have always been consistent throughout the years we have been there and we are thrilled to always go back. Keep it up!!!
The sobrasada and foie gras is our ultimate fav that we always order.
Always a delicious and fun experience. The vibe is on point and the fun is here! Everyone is having a blast. Loving the creative wines and cocktails. The food is consistently delicious. Must have Joselito Jamon and their ceviche was awesome.
Thanks all for a fun night.
Great wine and appetizers! Loved their ham and bread !
It was just ok. Spanish inspired food, nice enough place, decent service.
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambience. Tasting menu is the way to go. This was my second time opting for the tasting menu, what was especially nice was that they mix it up - the offering was different each time.
Consistently good! Outstanding wine list. Great servers. And quick service. What's not to love!
I’ve come here a few times and have always enjoyed the restaurant. This time Was different. At the start of the dinner a waiter spilled a drinks tray, shattering glass all over myself and the floor. I was cut on my ankle because glass got into my shoe. The whole experience was terribly handled and I won’t be returning again.
Bar Isabel was a very charming experience. The food was very good and the service was attentive. I loved the lighting and ambiance. It felt a little bit like traveling to a difference time and place...
It was the best experience and amazing service
