Enjoy an intimate dining experience at Bar Isabel - a cozy restaurant nestled between Toronto's little Italy and little Portugal, where creative Spanish-inspired small plate dishes are served alongside cocktails and an extensive Iberian focused wine list. The restaurant's elegant interior boasts an intriguing blend of soft lighting, curved walls and a beautiful mosaic tile floor.
Managed under the guidance of Maitre d' and Partner Alessandro Pietropaolo, Bar Isabel's menu includes a diverse mix of pintxos, conservas, seafood and meat dishes. Diners rave about the grilled octopus, the bone marrow and the ceviche. For dessert, the Basque cake and sherry cream is a must-try. Bar Isabel is open 5-11pm Sunday through Friday, and 3-11pm Saturday. Accolades include listings in the Michelin Guide, Canada's top 100, and 2013 awarded the best new restaurant in Canada by Enroute Magazine.

    Our experience at Bar Isabel was a 10 out of 10! We did the tasting menu and were not disappointed with anything brought to our table. My only complaint would be that the lights are so dim in this restaurant that we had to use our phone flash lights to read the menu.

    It was my first time here and it was absolutely fantastic. The service was impeccable and whilst some things on the menu weren’t cheap, when you take into account the quality of the food and how it was prepared you could argue that the prices are actually quite reasonable. Perfect spot for a date (probably not the first, but maybe the 3rd or 5th etc. lads) Will 100% be returning

    The best!!!! The service team is knowledgeable, warm, and on it! Saw my note to put a lil bday candle in the dessert :) vibes are immaculate, every dish incredible, loved the cocktails. My boyfriend has been living here for about a year and this has been his favourite dining experience in the city. Thank you for helping to make his birthday so special and being a part of a really great memory for us <3

    I have just returned from a month-long stay in Spain. Most of the menu items we had were like they were in Spain. The two stand-outs were octopus and the green peppers.

    Terrific. Kind staff. I ordered a drink to toast the bride, my daughter, but didn’t drink it. ( I took one sip- it was delicious). I can’t drink alcohol for medical reasons. The manager removed the cost of the drink when she saw a full glass and I explained. . Absolutely unnecessary and totally gracious. The dress shopping crew were touched as well. You are in all our good books! And the food was delicious.

    Always a great experience at Bar Isabel. Cocktails were delicious, food never disappoints. Definitely try the bone marrow and the pork with chorizo spice! And you have to get the basque cake to end it off :)

    First time here after hearing great things! Wasn’t bad but didn’t blow my mind. Would come here again for a birthday or to have drinks. Octopus was ok, didn’t really see the hype. The steak and mushrooms were delicious.
