    Waitress seemed a bit inattentive (might be due to staffing shortages), but it took a very long time for drinks to be put in as well as food. The presentation of the eggplant rollitini baffled our party, and we all moved the arugala salad to the side of the skillet. Very limited offerings for vegetarians.

    The food was so delicious! We got salmon crisp and tuna crudo and both were so fresh. The mixed greens salad and prosciutto burrata were chefs kiss. We got two pastas. Wine, service, atmosphere were all 10/10

    Opted to sit at bar. Steph served us. She was extraordinary. Took great care of us throughout the evening. Good was divine. Atmosphere was perfect. Just a great experience.

    A wonderful evening at Bar Mezzana. The evening started off a bit rocky as it rained on our plans to sit on the patio! The entire staff was wonderful in working to find a solution to seat us inside (we did have to wait a bit and I was a pain in the tush). Everything from the drinks to the food to the service was top notch. Highly recommend!

    I have only had terrific experiences at Bar Mezzana up until now. We were celebrating my son's college graduation with the family and my husband and I had talked up the restaurant. We were disappointed when the the service was slow. We sat a long time before our drinks order was taken and then to put in a food order. Also, the chicken was sold out leaving only a few dinner entrée choices. The crudo dish with the grapefruit was very good, the other completely bland. Mussels were bland as well. I liked my eggplant very much and the veal chop with ramp potatoes was quite good. Two ordered the Orecchiette and both thought it was just okay. The cocktails were good and the wine suggestion was good/reasonable. The outdoor seating was lovely. Overall it was an "okay" experience but I will not be rushing back anytime soon.

    Weird all around. Had a reservation but waited at the hostess stand for 10 minutes while others reservations were seated immediately. Waited 10 mintues once sat to get service? The orrechiette was so bland, like oatmeal. We had to ask for sale. An aperol spritz came in a tumbler… without a straw… and WITH an olive? The rosemary focaccia was drier than toast. Just weird.

    Great service and ambience, but the food was incredibly overpriced. Staff was friendly and fantastic, but I left upset at how little I ate and how expensive it was.

    Still, great food, as always, service was not very friendly nor accommodating. Outdoor dining nice option but they need to offer the bar menu on the patio as well. They act like it's a real extension of the dining room which it isn't.

    2:45 reservation - arrived 10 minutes late due to traffic. Our bad! We called and let the staff know, and they said no problem. However, when we got there we were told that we were going to have to order IMMEDIATELY to get the order in to the kitchen - like, before we sat down. One of us was still parking the car, so we ha to order for him. So, moral of the story - it would have been great to let us know when we called that we would be panic ordering when we got in, because we would have looked at menus in the car. So, we didn't get to order what we wanted due to the rush and paid $$$$$ for it. A bit disappointing for the money spent.

    Food was absolutely delicious. What a nice surprise. However, the AC was so strong, we couldn’t stay for Coffee and desert. My feet were frozen. And the music was a little loud

    The chicken under the brick was not what it was described to be. It was not crunchy and tasteless. The eggplant was awful as well. Very disappointed in our meal and would not recommend.

    My favorite restaurant in Boston. The best service, vibes, food and drinks. Both brunch and dinner options are fabulous. Do not sleep on this spot!

    Was expecting slightly larger portions in the pasta dishes for the price point, but the quality was excellent. The noise level was barely tolerable, however. I had to yell at my dinner companion to be heard. Not the most romantic notion. To be fair, the server made themselves heard clearly, but they were also yelling out of necessity.

    First off, you are required to get the pan-seared sablefish. Absolutely the best fish dish I have ever had. Buttery and smooth in flavor and texture with a divine parsnip purée and charred broccoli if I’m not mistaken. The dish comes together so perfectly I would order this every time. The beef carpaccio, grilled octopus, and bone marrow are all fantastic but the carpaccio stood out the most among the three as the true 5/5 dish for antipasti. Again a great balance of texture and flavor to start your meal off. The staff are very attentive and efficient which definitely upholds the reputation this restaurant group has from my other experiences at Shore Leave. I had one each of the non-alcoholic cocktails and I would recommend the Orchid Thief out of all of those. Delicious and refreshing. Finally, I got a scoop of the ricotta gelato which is exactly what you need to finish off a meal here.

    Ordered appetizers and salad for pre theater meal. We we warmly welcomed on arrival, service was attentive but not annoying. Food was delicious. Our time constraint was accommodated. Highly recommend.

    Loved the restaurant, food, vibe but was disappointed in our waitstaff. He was either not interested in serving us or not knowledgeable in food and wine. He showed no interest in explaining menu items or wine options.

    Great food and service! Delicious meals served in a timely fashion. My son and I enjoyed our beef carpaccio with focaccia bread, chicken under the brick, pasta, lamb shank and desserts. Thank you to our server, Alessandro!

    The food was very good but overpriced. The wait staff seemed a little confused and there were long breaks between a server stopping by the table to see if we needed anything. The noise level required you to speak in a loud voice if you wanted to be heard.
