The neighbourhood Italian restaurant you’ve always dreamed of, Bar Prima will feature a luxurious atmosphere that evokes a sense of timelessness and nostalgia. The restaurant design will capture an old-school charm with dimly lit ambiance, creating an elevated and elegant atmosphere. From Italian disco inspired music to vintage design touches, Chefs Craig Harding and Julian D’Ippolito have curated a space that feels as though it’s been there forever.

Bar Prima can at times feel opulent with its banquets and table lamps but can also feel relaxed and romantic. We seek to share our passion for food, beverage and hospitality, creativity and design with our open-minded guests!

    Pros: Food is delicious. Service is excellent. Ambience is fantastic, if you are seated upstairs. Cons: Wait times between courses are unreasonably long. We counted 50 minutes between finishing our appetizers and getting our pasta. The portion sizes on most dishes are too small. Still worth a visit! We had a good time.

    Wonderful experience. Shared plates with my friend. Apps were spectacular, as well as the lobster and the veal. Service was attentive without being overbearing.

    The restaurant is very unassuming from the outside. However, the interior can only be described by the feeling that this is where I want to spend my evening. Our server was very attentive as well as being excited to tell us about the menu. The food exceeded our expectations. The chicken liver pate was deliciously seasoned and as smooth as silk. The scallops in the Rockefeller were saucy, sweet, and succulent. For our mains, the lobster fra diablo was luscious in texture and perfectly spiced. The octopus was tender on the inside and still had those crispy bits on the ends in a sweet peppery sauce. I look forward to my next visit.

    The food and wine was on point and not overly large which was appreciated. A cool and chic vibe added to the overall experience. A must try restaurant

    My friends and I loved our dinner at bar prima. The vibes, service and food were amazing. We are definitely coming back! Our highlights were the veal marsala, lobster linguine, potato pave and scallop rockerfeller.

    Such a thoughtfully designed space. Impeccable but non-intrusive service. Exceptional food. We loved the martini side cars, the bread (!), the lobster pasta which we thought would be overrated but isn’t, and the crazy good cowboy steak we had as a feature. Highly reccomend!
