Great little restaurant in a fabulous waterfront ocation. Staff are friendly. The noise level is very high and makes it difficult to carry on any sort of conversation.

Great place for the experience. Drinks are pretty pricey if you just want a margarita or mojito, but if you’re willing to splurge for the pineapple or coconut drinks they are fun for the experience and the atmosphere is great in this bar.

This was our first time at Bar Sofia and it won't be our last. Our entire experience, from start to finish, was excellent. It seems like most dining experiences these days are underwhelming - whether quality of the food, service or ambience. Everything we ordered was both interesting and delicious. The atmosphere was great. Most importantly, the service was excellent. We never felt rushed yet the servers were all very attentive... and knowledgeable. We'll definitely be back.

Not suitable for older diners! Noise level (rap Music) not conducive to conversation. Food average, Waitress was doing her best, ran out of cutlery at one point. Had to ask for straw for my Spritz. Food arrived, still no cutlery or napkin! Will not go back!

Took a while for our waiter to come to the table. Once he toon our drink order he provided great service. Love the atmosphere. The tuna small plate was amazing! We loved the colour on all the plating. Our margaritas were good! Octopus was great squid was slightly over cooked. Corneta’s were great too! Churros we’re just okay and took a while to come out. Would recommend it to a friend and would return!

The ambiance is amazing. Beautiful interior with fun decor. Our meals were delicious, but extremely small. We ordered off the main menu not the small plates, and we were both still hungry at the end of the meal. Terribly overpriced for the size of the entree, $26 and $30 respectively. I would consider them to be appetizer sizes only. I would consider them to be appetizer size only. Great place but have dinner before you go there for dinner.

We had a great time. Started with margaritas, spicy mango and the spicy strawberry & balsamic. Both were fantastic, preferred the strawberry. Started with the Cassava Chicharrón, was nice and light for an app. Also had Bravas Brussels Sprouts, Scallop Aguachile, the scallop dish was nice and fresh and balanced out the heavier brussel sprouts. Shared the pork Carnitas Soft Tacos and the Adobo Roasted Cauliflower. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

The food was great except the guacamole had a bit too much Lemon which over powered the avocado. The atmosphere was great and I loved the choice of music. It was hard to know who our wait staff was cause we had multiple people bring us our food. I would definitely return though

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Halifax...the ambience is amazing, and the food is epic- everything is complex, well balanced and bursting with flavor...we wanted to lick every plate! Great selection of cool cocktails. Just go!

Went there for a birthday and to reminisce over Spanish food. The dishes were well prepared, looked beautiful, and tasted perfectly on point. We really enjoyed having Rebecca take care of our table - she was both fun and professional!

Bar Sofia is a must see spot in the Halifax Waterfront. Whether it’s a Sunday brunch with fam, or a ladies night out, this place has it all. An incredible atmosphere, with lively music and beautiful fun decor, not to mention the extensive drink menu and delicious food!

Service was great I ordered a beer and it took about 15 minutes which I’d consider good timing for how busy it was yet they still gave me it on the house which I thought was great customer service. The pulled pork tacos were the best I’ve ever had. 10/10 restaurant overall.

Chilaquiles were incredible. Service was outstanding. We went for brunch and it was great. I think it would be quite loud for dinner otherwise no complaints. Beautiful spot.
