Bar Verde - Nordstrom Eaton Centre

Sunday: 11:30am - 7pm
Monday - Friday 3pm-6pm
We enjoy eating at this restaurant and always ask for a booth beside a window. You can see people walking around the Eaton Centre on the inside. It is rather noisy and hard to hear someone who has a soft voice. The food is good and the service as well.
Perfect spot for lunch and a break from shopping. Worth making a reservation in advance as it’s a popular place and you may not get a table if you just walk in.
Great place for a quiet lunch! Hope to come again.
I always get the warm asian chicken salad at every location. It's delicious every time.
So far the best place to dine when at the Eaton Centre. The food is good without hurting the pockets and the ambiance is classy.
Busy place with business lunch meetings and shoppers happening but it’s still quiet enough to enjoy and not disrupt a leisurely lunch. Been a few times and salad portions are on the small side whereas portion of fries with burgers and sandwiches are decent.
I love the restaurant. Our steak salad was delicious however have found the Soups to be a little on the salty side.
Food was good but expensive and left me hungry. Glass of wine Very expensive
I had the shrimp salad and it was delicious. My only comment is that there could have been more salad/greens in the plate because I was still hungry afterwards.
Optimal Service, and Great food choices and preparation, will definitely return
Great service by a very knowledgeable server accompanied by great food!
In a word, disappointed. Var Verde came highly recommended and thought it would be perfect for a pre-theatre meal. Unfortunately my cod - which was one of the most expensive on the menu was overcooked and under seasoned. My daughter's simple kids pasta was unevenly cooked - some noodles were complete uncooked. All in all, very disappointed. I wanted to like it, but thought many items seemed overpriced and the food just didn't delivery in quality at all.
Bar Verde is a jewel in the Eaton Centre - an opportunity to get away from the mall and the crowds! Ambience and service are excellent and it is very enjoyable to watch the shoppers below if you get seated by the windows over-looking the mall. Food is priced well and quality of ingredients is excellent....just wish they didn't over-cook the fish! Highly recommend Bar Verde!
Food was outstanding and service was great! Window seat overlooking the Eaton Center is a must and great for people watching. My wife and I will be back.
Good food. Friendly service. Excellent value. One of our favourite restarants at all times of the year. We always take visitors from out of town
I was disappointed again that the wine I ordered was not available. This has happened 2x before at the restaurant
For a department store restaurant, it was very good, if over priced. However, it was quiet, and calm, which were the attributes we were looking for, giving us a well deserved break from the noisiness of the Easton Centre. We could talk and converse without having to yell over the crowd. The wait staff was lovely and the decor was calm. If one wants a calm, oasis from the craziness of the Easton Centre, this is the place to go.
Overall great experience with good service and well prepared dinner salads .... flavour plus. We enjoyed a quiet pre theatre dinner in a very nice environment without the noise of so many other restaurants
Mistake on reservation.
Too much dressing on the salmon salad. Drowning in it.
Brussel sprout starter good and bread too.
The food was incredibly good! Shared 3 amazing appetizers- Brussel sprouts, mushroom flatbread and calamari- so delicious! Main courses amazing too!!!
The only complaint I would have is a little slow service and it didn't appear very busy either. Otherwise food and ambiance was great.
Love the menu- very creative. Service was exceptional- given choices to personalize dishes. Great place for lunch with a friend
Food was delish! Just wish there was a plain piece of fish or chicken. Brussels sprouts are to die for!!
We had family visiting from London and all four of us had a different entree. Everything was prepared beautifully and just delicious; none of us left a scrap on our plate. Our server Natasha was outstanding, and helped make the evening even more enjoyable. Can't wait to go back!
Terrible beer selection. Out of 2 on menu. Salmon on salad nicoise very tough
I took my friend for lunch for her 92nd birthday. She loved the ambience, the food and the fact that the restaurant was not noisy. She had a great time and has told me she plans to go back for lunch with her friends.
have been twice. really nice presentation. priced quite competitively for a high quality meal. Perfect for pre Massey Hall or Mervish theatre. Ask for the window seats as they look out into the Eaton centre.
We really enjoy Bar Verse as an after work dinner spot. However, I do think it is time for a new menu. Thank you.
Bar Verde - Great food, great experience. Will be back!
Food was good. Waitress was OK. ...not as cheery as the one I had the last time.
The food is just okay, and it’s very overpriced for the quality and quantity provided. Service is good, and the pace are which dishes arrive during lunch is fairly quick.
It was OK. Underwhelming. Maybe it was just not for me.
SERvice was just ok! The server was amazing but had too many tables.
Service is always friendly and attentive, the food is excellent , especially the tomato soup! and the atmosphere is elegant and relaxed!
Salmon nicoise salad was ok. Nothing special. I think there were three green beans in it. Paltry. Salmon itself was a little dry. Noise level was loud because of a false fire alarm in the Eaton Centre.
This is the first time at Bar Verde and we loved it. We had seats overlooking the Eaton Centre which was really nice. Our server, Marianna we so sweet and attentive. The food was good too.
Service was a bit off. Food was average. Happy hour wine prices were good (however, selection slim). Overall, it’s convenient to work and okay for happy hour.
The food was fine but even though the reservation indicated hat it was for a birthday, the patron tried to put me at a corner table, he least desirable one, and when I requested a better one, threes were plenary of decent tables and we were seated something a bit better.
And then the next day I got a message from you guys saying that I did not honour my reservation with a tone that was rather complaining. It was so very unpleasant, especially after spending quite a bit of money on simple lunch.
Went with three friends. I have been before but my friends hadn’t. All will go back again.
Simple quick tasty and easy
