I really enjoyed the ambiance, and our server was amazing ! The food tastes good but very average nothing special in my opinion. Incredibly noisy tho as it was super packed. Overall an above average place.

There for a birthday….all plates delish. Can’t go wrong food wise. Seated behind bar, low ceiling; just not same ambience as front of resto. Service was on point; did feel rushed. And it wasn’t crazy busy (Sunday night), so….you be the judge.

Overall I think this is a cute trendy spot to have some drinks with friends but don’t expect much when it comes to the food/service. The food wasn’t great. We had the albacore starter which lacked flavour/seasoning. We had the tiger shrimp on beans and the mushroom pasta which was good but nothing special. I had a couple of their specialty cocktails which I really enjoyed. The service was pretty bad. The wrong drink was brought to table and the replacement drink took too long that we had to cancel. I also went up to the bar to ask for a paper napkin to dispose of my gum and the bartender looked at me and rolled his eyes. He gave me a look of “why was I bothering to him”. I think it was because he was the service bartender who busy making cocktails for the restaurant so I understand he was busy and I wasn’t his direct client but he could have handled that much differently. The restaurant itself was busy and had a good ambiance.

Beautiful space filled with beautiful people, the place to see, be seen and possibly not hear everyone! My only caveat is how loud it is but honestly it is such a cool vibe with great music that the noise level is acceptable. Great food and service was fantastic!

We went here before and loved the food and ambience. We were excited to take our daughter there. But this time it was on a Friday night and the music was very loud. Everybody in the restaurant had to shout at each other to hear. It was my daughter's 19th birthday and she suffers from epilepsy and chronic migraines so she unfortunately hated everything about the experience. It took a long time for the food and tea to arrive, but the server apologized and gave us free desserts (so good!). The place was hopping and there were long lineups down the street so I am happy for Barbarella. But I'm in my 40's now so feeling like I am at a rock concert or birdcage does not appeal to me anymore.

Tyler was a great server, friendly and knowledgeable. We were there for Happy Hour, which is the fabulous. All drinks were half price. I highly recommend the Ricotta Toast. But if your there for Happy Hour, the half price pizza is amazing.

I had an amazing birthday at Barbarella. The food was beyond fantastic, the service was amazing, the server was always timely and able to make great suggestions, a sign of someone who not only knows the menu, but understands it and peoples tastes. I would come back again and again.

Why aren’t more people talking about Barbarella? We went last night with another couple and here is what we collectively thought. Service was slow to start, but improved. Any of the servers will get your food when it is ready and bring it to you. 9/10 There are some intersting drinks and we were all happy with what we ordered. 10/10 Appies we shared: Tomato hazelnut dip with focaccia was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Hard 10/10 do not miss. Grilled halloumi was okay. 7/10 Calamari was delicious. Finished with heat - it takes some skills to pull this off. 10/10 Entrees: my husband and I shared a Caesar salad. Dressing is homemade and the flavour is a rich. 10/10 We also shared pasta with shrimp and crab. Their pasta is very al dante. I like it that way; my husband does not, but he went in for seconds and thirds. The sauce was light and very tasty. 10/10 My friends had plum salad. Very delicate flavour and not a big winner for me. 7/10 They also ordered truffle cream pasta and crispy chicken puttanesca, both big hits. Chicken was not greasy, sauce had some heat. My friend was literally scraping the polenta off the plate to finish it. The pasta with truffle cream and mushroom was *chef’s kiss*. 9/10 Dessert: the BEST tiramisu I have ever had (and I lived in Italy). I’d go back just for that. 10/10 The lemon tart is super zesty, so it’s perfect if you are a big fan of lemon. Caramel ones yogurt was like velvet. 10/10 Babarella makes all their pasta in-house and you can certainly tell. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Wife had the gluten free pasta which was really good. Fresh oysters were strictly marginal. Overall Barbarella is very good just not outstanding. I will go back and try the pizza next time

this was our first time visiting and it was fantastic! the food, the drinks, the service were all top notch, not to mention the restaurant itself is beautiful and a fun spot to sit and enjoy your evening. we will absolutely be returning!
