    Pandesal bun for the chicken sliders 🍞 was stale and dry. Otherwise food was great. Portions are great. Atmosphere is excellent. I recommend having them smoke the cocktails.

    The food was not good. 1. chicharon and Guac. The chicharon seemed like it was from a bag and refried. Guac was just a smashed avocado. Both not seasoned at all. 2. Lola’s Lumpia. The menu says 6 pieces but it’s actually 3 lumpia’s cut in half. Filling not tasty. Not Filipino and nothing fusion about this dish. 3. Crispy pork belly. Nothing in this dish was crispy. I asked the server and she said the skin is supposed to be crispy. Would be a better dish if not described as “crispy” 4. Truffle fries. No truffle flavours in fries or sauce. Shaved cheese was a tiny portion to be generous. Staff was nice and accommodating, place is really nice right at the heart of queen street. But food is not worth trying ever again. .

    Hello Anonymous - Your feedback has been noted and shared with our kitchen. 1. Chicharon is prepared daily from scratch and brought to the table fresh 2. Our menu does not state six pieces of lumpia, it is cut for presentation 3. Truffle is an extremely strong flavour, so we toss the fries in a drizzle of the oil, as do most places, and it is part of the aioli. As we are trying to appeal to a wide customer base, we do not douse the fries in truffle oil as it would turn many off We wish you would have taken the time to alert your server or a manager to your concerns at the time of your visit. This way we could have worked with you to find a solution or provide a new dish to your liking.

    I've heard good things about Bar'kada, so of course I had to check it out. Everything about the restaurant was amazing. The food was exceptional - these days that's rare. The ambiance, energy, lighting, music and service was above average. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks which was awesome. And even the live DJ was excellent. I wish they had an after hours lounge area to mix and mingle after. I would definitely come back and host an event here.

    Food was amazing however the experience was not as advertised. I booked this event a month ago for my birthday and it was advertised as a Soca event- we arrived at 12:15 and until about 2:30 there was slow house music playing-maybe 2 soca songs played. My friends came from out of the country for caribana weekend and I promised them a caribana event. I spoke to the DJ, few waitresses and the manager and they assured soca would play but nothing did. It was disappointing that we payed for a caribana soca event on caribana weekend and the vibe/music was not as advertised. That should be something to take into consideration when advertising future events at your venue. Food was spectacular, amazing chef but it was really unfortunate that no Soca was playing during a soca event.

    Ambiance was perfect! The decor, lighting and space created a great vibe. The manger was very nice and helpful when making reservations. Food and portion was decent (on the smaller scale). We had the Korean bbq ribs, short beef rib tacos and two honey garlic wings, aioli fries, cheesecake and crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e. We also had beers. Nothing that really stood out with the tapasïżŒ/main dish, nothing special. However, the cheesecake and crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e were amazing. The red sangria had great flavour. Was disappointed to see they charged for a birthday cake, usually that would have been complimentary (but I did appreciate them providing a candle) and also wasn’t expecting them to charge extra for dip for the wings!

    We were there Sunday dinner after their Sunday Brunch Party. Seated at back patio. Next to DJ & dance floor. If we were in a “clubbing/ Sat.night dancing mood” it would have been perfect & a great spot. Music was good but tough to have a conversation without shouting at each other. Their outdoor back patio is very nice (trellised & covered with clear pvc to let natural light in). Seating in front half of restaurant & front street patio was quieter so we asked to move (it was a Sunday dinner catch-up with our daughter & her boyfriend). The place has a Fun vibe. Very good cocktails (the “Tita Baby” & their Margarita were great!). Our servers were excellent. As for the food, don’t expect it to be as good as homemade or from Somethin’ Sweet 4 U (Mississauga) or Tinuno. It’s a Fusion type place. Lola’s Lumpia was good but not as good as the other 2 places. Nor was the Chicken Adobo. The Duck Confit Fried Rice with shrimp was delicious. Pork belly also very good. The spicy green beans were ok. Grilled calamari was a bit undercooked. All in all, it was an enjoyable, hospitable experience!

    No air-conditioning which made the room ridiculously hot, and the floor had a buildup of condensation which made walking very hazardous especially where the bathroom area was. The waiter was fine however, was more focused on attending to the young ladies across from us. Recommendation would be to better the customers experience, Didn’t get the sense of care from what I believe was the manager who kindly told my table on arrival the exact time we needed to be out as they were more concerned about a party which was happening after. As for the VIP area, it was just normal seating
 Which is fine, however, shouldn't be advertised as a disconnected area.

    Unfortunately our meal started with a few bumps. The restaurant didn't have our open table reservation. We were greeted with crumbs on the chairs and stained menus. Our server didn't offer the summerlicous menu's nor happy hour. We had to ask which is a little annoying. Once our food arrived everything was delicious. The food made up for some of the minor hiccups. The service also improved during our meal and they warmed up. I do recommend this place and will definitely go to another happy hour!

    Great food. Went for summerlicious this past Saturday and we were not disappointed. If you have a huge appetite, be mindful as summerlicious portions aren’t big. For people with moderate to lower appetites, you’ll be more than fine.

    The potatas bravas needed more flavour a little bland. The waiter was awesome but extremely busy. They forgot our desserts and had to be reminded. Have more servers. They all seemed overwhelmed. Great idea but needed better execution. Overall a great concept for brunch.

    Really delicious food very hospitably served in a lovely environment. The music on the patio was set at a reasonable volume to enhance the vibe but not drown out conversation. The ceiling fan was much appreciated on a summer night. But let's talk food and drink: pork belly lettuce wraps and garlic shrimp may not sound like exceptional offerings on a typical menu, but try them! All the caramelized goodness under the pork was incredible, and the smooth light butteriness of the shrimp made us sop up the plate with the provided crostini rather than complicate the amazing texture of the shrimp with them. Not to be missed is the Sweet Penny cocktail, a St Germaine spritz that complemented our outdoor summer menu choices perfectly.

    Great food & drinks - our server was good too. Only negative experience was that it was my birthday and I asked another server (not at our table) to take our picture as a group and she was a bit rude about it. Said to give her time but never came back. I understand if she couldn't accomodate but there are better ways to communicate it. I would maybe come back for food but not for a special occasion.

    Food is okay. Very very tiny portions. Drinks are really bad tho. We ordered sangria and watermelon lychee vodka both tasted water down vodka and zero flavor. Aesthetic is nice. Waitress are nice.

    We booked a reservation for 6:15pm. It was relatively empty at the time. It seems to really pick up around 7:30pm. The food is exceptional. Beautifully plated / presented, high quality and the flavour of every dish was complex and addictive. Our server, Julian, was an absolute pleasure to have take care of us. He took our order (which were about 6 dishes) without writing it down - then participated in a conversation with us and everything was delivered perfectly. That's skill. He was honest, friendly, and very natural. We're definitely going back, its on our top 10 list for sure.

    The restaurant is located on Queen St west of Bathurst. You can sit at the front of the restaurant or you sit inside either at the bar or on in the back where you are also outside but you are sheltered from the elements and have the luxury of a overhead fan.

    Small space with a lot of seating options - bar, dining, back patio and front patio. Amazing atmosphere - 2000s mixes R'n'B and hiphop and great energy throughout. Be prepared to be surrounded by people we sat at the bar and expected it so it wasn't a bother. Great options behind the bar and really helpful employees - bartenders walked us through our drink orders and sang along to songs with us. Food is also delicious - we shared six of the tapas plates and were absolutely stuffed by the end of the stay Short rib tacos are a MUST

    Our experience was an easy 10/10. We shared the truffle fries and Lola’s lumpia (these left us yearning for more. I still dream about them and the dipping sauce was to die for! đŸ˜­đŸ€€). I had the chicken waffles as my main and cleaned my plate. This was my 2nd visit and I can guarantee I’ll be back.

    You will thank yourself for booking here. Every dish is a 10. Staff are friendly. And DJs spinning after dinner. 10/10. I’ve brought dates here. I brought friends here. I’ve brought my aunties here. Everyone loves Bar’kada.
