Service was amazing...hostess was very accommodating even though we were 20 min late and our server was friendly and on point with our drinks
Amazing restaurant. My second time there but first time bringing our team out there. Maria took care of us really well. Got us up to Pablo and Escobar. Amazing night. Thank you and see you all soon again
Our waiter with the fabulous eyes was very attentive. We were likely the oldest ones in the restaurant (early 50’s. 😉). Fantastic evening had by all
Great food, good ambiance, poor service
Great looking place. Slow service and a nice, but inexperienced server detracted from the experience. Those issues notwithstanding, the food was solid brunch fare- nothing memorable. Reasonable prices.
Awesome time and great food!
Food was not very tasty and didn't worth the expense.
There was not enough variety of tastes. Most of it was very sweet.
Get the eggs Benny. You’re welcone
Our table wasn't quite ready when we arrived. We were not early and had a 9:45 pm reservation for myself and 5 gfs.
Hostess suggested we go upstairs for a drink, which we did. We then waited at the bar for about 10 mins, didn't end up getting drinks cause it was taking so long, so we went back downstairs, which was somewhat disappointing. We were seated when we arrived back downstairs.
Services was good.
Food was even better. Tapas style was perfect for our party. Overall good experience, but got off to a slow start.
Overall we had a great experience!
Food and service were great !
A good place for dinner. Good quality dishes. Service was superb.
Loved the feel of the restaurant, all the Spanish music playing transported me to a beach restaurant somewhere down south! We ordered the Family Platter and it was great. Such a variety of foods for everyone to try. They even gave us champagne and a card for celebrating my birthday and recent engagement! Definitely mentioning this restaurant to any of my friends looking for a fun place to dine. Can't wait to visit again!
Everything including food and service was super nice!!
Our waitress' Kiersty, Chantel, Yas, and Laura were awesome. All the staff are fantastic.
We also enjoyed our dinner and had brunch the next day. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Thank you for making our night feel special.
It has a great South American street vibe, with hip Latin music to set the ambience and yummy food. Their Pisco Sour is to die for! Would go back again. Definitely recommend.
Staff not attentive . One main coarse came in cold . The other main coarse came in burnt.
Food and service was great but music was just too loud to enjoy conversation.
This place hit all the right notes - great ambiance and decor, awesome service, tasty food and cocktails! I'll definitely return! Get the Duck Confit rice dish!
Baro is a great spot! Went for a family brunch to celebrate my brothers birthday. Whole family loved the experience. Will be back in the future for sure.
Amazing food and servers. Dope music!
Amazing! Food, service and atmosphere! Great Colombian inspired evening...
The restaurant is very cute and service is great! Love the brunch menu!
Really good time! Service was great- Celeste made the experience!
I enjoy Baro, and suggest it to friends. Although I was very Unhappy with my power bowl.. I don’t like kale and apparently there was so substitutions for that dish. (Salad wise ). I find it hard to believe that the only salad in house you have is kale.
Baro's Decoration is Gorgeous and the Staff were very friendly. We were there for a birthday celebration that was mentioned when we did the reservation but was completely forgotten. When we were paying the bill, the server noticed me opening my gift, I mentioned it was my birthday, we still had two glasses of wine then. I was disappointed because we ordered desert and it was not for the " free treat" it was this simple gesture on a special day that would make the difference. We are supporting their business but they did not care about our special moment. Before going to Baro we read many reviews about the restaurant. Many mentioned about the prices. We had a Bottle of wine, two Cocktails + two glasses of wine. Two Starters, Two mains and a Desert = $300. This is what you pay to eat anywhere downtown, specially if you have drinks. Most of the time this is what you are going to be paying if you wanna have a special dinning experience. That is what we were looking for. We were also disappointed with the Branzino. I understand they wanna give you the latin experience, so the presentation was very simple, but it was dry, rice undercooked and plantains were also dry. That was one of the most expensive mains I think $41. I mentioned it to the server as well in a nice way. CHURROS were amazing just like back home. Still we tipped 20% ,but went across the street for more desert and drinks. We where greeted with two glasses of Prosseco for the birthday plus we had 3 deserts. A small gesture counts a lot when you are out celebrating something special. It is the first time that I write a restaurant review although we have tried most of the popular ones in Toronto. I felt disappointed and wanted to share my experience with you all.
Great food and amazing space!
It was great and management was really on top of things - definitely recommend
Definitely have the duck fried rice!
Fantastic food, surprisingly generous portions, great service. Music was meh.
Food was great. Had a bunch of sharing dishes. Good place to go with a group.
Awesome place for brunch, cheese bread Benedict is a great creation
Been here a few times. Food and service pretty consistent and good. One negative was we sat near the back and I guess it’s where staff hang out and they were loud and annoying at times. If you can, sit away from that area.
Great service, good food. A bit dark for my preference. I like to see what I am eating!
Everything was fantastic from the time we walked in the door. Women at the front was very polite when greeting and seating us at our table. Food was amazing, especially the ceviche. And they even gave us a complimentary dessert for my girlfriends birthday.
Best dining experience in Toronto yet! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and food presentation was on point...not to mention delicious too! We will definitely be recommending Baro to friends and family.
Was a definite surprise, Loved the food, vibe and service!!!
Very fun, energetic vibe. Good for large groups.
This is a beautiful restaurant with a lively atmosphere, but the kitchen hasn't quite got it all right. The sauces/citrus overwhelm the fish in ceviches and the seafood is overly salty.
I took my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday on Saturday. I booked a reservation for 2:30, foolishly thinking that it would be the dinner menu. However, when we got there, the brunch menu was the only thing available and the service was wrapping up. We had hoped to eat some of the food from their renowned raw bar, but didn't get a chance to do so. With that in mind, our experience wasn't what we had expected, even though the chips and salsa, the empenadas, and the mac and cheese were delicious. The sangria was also quite unique with the guava juice that was in it.
All in all, the food was delicious, even though it wasn't what we had expected. I really hope to go there for the raw bar in the future
It was really good i liked it evrythin was goooooooooooof
Had ceviche, scallops, and the vegetarian version of that rice dish in the big stone bowl. Everything was delicious, but that rice dish... Oh. Em. Geeeeeeee! THAT was AMAZING!!! The smell alone makes you salivate. Our server learned that although we were not there to celebrate my birthday, it was the following day. So she surprised me with a complimentary alfajores with a candle. It was very “sweet” of her.
