Prix-Fixe Dinner Service - Friday & Saturday, Reservations starting at 6pm
(4-5 course chef selected menu)
This is a spectacular restaurant experience in the heart of Easton, MD. From the time you walk into the door until your coffee is poured, your are provided with a warm welcome, expert service, knowledgable staff, creative and delicious food all served in an intimate European styled dining room. We enjoy it for special occasions and getting together with friends who enjoy this type of elegant evening. It is worth the drive from wherever you live and worthy of the reputation that has been built over the past couple years. Treat your spouse and enjoy the magic of the evening.
We went to Bas Rouge to celebrate an anniversary. Everything about the evening, atmosphere, food and service, was perfect. The evening reminded me of fine dining in Europe.
Excellent dinner with friends as expected. Everything about Bas Rouge is planned and executed with precision and care. Truly an experience you shouldn't miss.
The restaurant was preparing for a very special Champagne dinner that night and the lunch menu was a bit limited. What we had was good, but not what we would have ordered given a normal lunch. Then service remains amazing. Thanks.
Am Ian even: It is a little stuffy.
Food is very good but menu is limited.
Desserts- How about a chocolate that is chocolate and not so busy with other stuff. Sometimes quality flavors are meant to be savored for what they are. Chocolate is one of them. ( I'm not a chocolate person!)
We have been to the restaurant many times and are never disappointed. The most elegant dining on the Eastern Shore.
We love this restaurant! The food, the presentation, the wine and the service, all top notch. You’ll feel like your dining at the Ritz in Paris.
The waitress served us complimentary champagne to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent, the servings were nice sized and the service was impeccable.
Excellent meal and meticulous presentation and service. Every menu option was enticing. The freshly baked, still hot from the oven petite madeleines after our desserts was a lovely finishing touch.
Super restaurant typically found in NYC
The entire experience was world class. The service was impeccable and the food was simply amazing. Bas Rouge rivals any of the fine dining restaurants we have frequented in any major city. It’s a must.
A planned elegant start to the holiday weekend and we were not disappointed. As always, we were greeted warmly, shown to a beautiful table, served with friendly efficiency, enjoyed superb cuisine and wine, and once again said to each other “why don’t we do this more often?”
Excellent food and service - a bit pricey and not large portions but great for a special occasion (or everyday if you don't balk at a wine list with a median price north of $400/btl)
Totally awesome experience! It was our anniversary. We were greeted at the door by name with happy anniversary wishes and provided a complimentary champagne for toasting. All entrees were superb. Excellent staff and service.
One of the best restaurants in the mid-Atlantic. Recommend it to any sophisticated consumer.
I've never been to a restaurant in large metropolitan cities that are as well appointed, such impeccable service, so artistically and deliciously prepared meal! Its an amazing experience...you'd never know you were in Easton, MD!
I was disappointed by the entré, rack of lamb. There were only two chops, on a bed of succotash that looked like it came from a can, all of which was only slightly warm. One would think that for a prix fixe of $85 per person, there might have been more than three courses, and at least three lamb chops. The service and ambiance are superb.
It was fabulous!
Great food, lovely atmosphere, superior service, with lots of little touches that left us feeling pampered.
Bas Rouge is the finest of fine dining in Easton! Everything from the friendly, efficient service to the lovely glassware to the kitchen's fine offerings to the great winelist, it ALL works!
We Will Be Back & Highly Recommend!!
The food, the service and the ambiance were all exquisite. It was a lovely experience from start to finish!
We had a lovely dinner this Saturday evening. The food was impeccable and the service was first class. The ambiance was great, the decor was beautiful, and the service was professional and friendly. Our dishes were presented hot and the attention to detail was stunning. The food was so fresh and perfectly seasoned and prepared. From the asparagus soup amuse bouche, the delectable veal ravioli with poached egg yolk and white foam, to the buttery miso sole, to the almond nut cake- it was the best of the best at each course. The wine selection was impressive, and the complimentary warm cake bites at the end of our meal, and a piece of olive oil cake to take home, made the entire experience five star ⭐️! We will be back for another wonderful meal.
Absolutely outstanding evening. Finally a great restaurant on the eastern shore!,. Stay at the inn at Perry Cabin but eat here for high end New York Quality dining at very reasonable prices. Service perfect. Ambience lovely. They even prepared a vegan meal for one of us (needed advance notice). I can easily see this becoming a destination restaurant to build a weekend around for DC Baltimore Philadelphia foodies
The ambiance and service were excellent during our recent dinner. Very cozy and quiet for a special occasion. The food was very good, however in comparing the food and prices to other French restaurants in the DC metro area that we have enjoyed often, it wouldn't be my first choice. Bas Rouge adds positively to a good variety of restaurant offerings in Easton, though. Creative offerings for entrees and artistic presentation but portions could be a little more generous. We were offered bread by service only once at the beginning of the meal. We may visit again.
What a gem! Outstanding service and ambiance. The food has to be good too, and it is. Sauces are flavorful without being too heavy or rich. Seasonings were spot on, enough to accent the meal but not too much. It's at the upper end of what I want to pay but well worth it!
Could not have been better. Portions were right size when having to order 3 courses wonderfully prepared. Was second visit. The first experience a year ago was not as good and was reluctant to go back given price point but so glad I have them a second chance. Would definitely go back as their menu is seasonal so want to try spring.
I stumbled upon this gem when searching for restaurants near St. Michael's. My boyfriend and I spent Presidents Day weekend there and were first-time visitors. We came to this restaurant Friday evening - a bit of an uber drive from St. Michael's but well worth it! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. Spectacular service from entrance to exit.
We were brought a lovely veal sausage amuse bouche. I started with the veal ravioli which I am still dreaming about. Hands down one of the best things I have ever eaten. My boyfriend had the grilled lobster tail to start which was also heavenly. My main course was rack of lamb with a delicious succotash. My boyfriend had the miso black cod which he compared to some of the best he's had in Japan. The desserts were also lovely, but the starter and entree courses were fabulous.
A phenomenal wine list, we had a difficult time choosing but eventually went with a lovely Pinot Noir to complement both of our mains.
After leaving, we were presented with a freshly-baked olive oil cake which I snacked on with coffee at our hotel the next morning.
We talked about this restaurant all weekend and I will be sure to return on our next visit to St. Michaels!
If you're in the area for anything, don't miss it!
Amazing food an service
A great choice for Valentine's Day or other special occasion. A bit pricey but really is worth it.
Wunderbar! Fantastic tasting menu, and as always amazing food, wine and SERVICE. What a treat. As if NYC came to Easton.
Great service and great food. Still a bit pricy for everyday dining. Great wine list.
Finally a restaurant in Easton that replaces the Bartlett Pear Inn. One of 3 restaurants on the Eastern Shore that are MOST go to. Das Rouge, 208 Talbot, and Heirloom. The top wine list outside of Charleston's in Baltimore. Must try the sweetbreads, 200 year sour dough bread starter. Service was simply stellar.
We toasted the New Year with a delicious lunch in a beautiful, warm and friendly surround -- we look forward to returning soon
The place is lovely, the maitre'd gracious, the food and wine exceptional but the waitress is imperious and unhelpful to the point the otherwise perfect experience was spoiled. How sad.
Bas Rouge is a superb addition to the Easton dining scene. Beautiful dining room, exquisite service, amazing china & crystal glassware, and memorable food. At the very top of fine dining here on the Eastern Shore.
Fantastic, as always. Superb service and food. We're so fortunate to have this gem on the Eastern Shore.
An amazing experience - everything was simply wonderful.
We were looking for a spot to celebrate an anniversary with fine dining. Food was excellent, I had duck and my wife the lamb. Portions are very small comparable to restaurants in large cities somewhat out of place here in the more casual Eastern Shore. Portion size undermined its overall value. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Three course dinner with champagne and wine was $160 per person.
